Del Bosque is pathetic. Of all times, he decided to recall Mata and now starts him in a worthless friendly AT Panama!
-
You're being too kind Ryan. I would rather have Turnbull playing as the 'False 9'...
-
Eh? Think you misunderstood what I said originally.
-
His lack of movement has been a problem since he joined and yet people back then were constantly finding excuses for him saying that our style of play doesn't suit him...
-
What's with us targeting out of form strikers?! He's not the striker that we should be getting and if Juventus are really intending of selling him, that I think says it all.
-
Think it's fair to say we can now all agree that Torres MUST be sold, unlike previously...
-
You're just generalizing things there. There will be Japanese Chelsea fans there watching us and this is also a chance for the Chelsea fans from other Asian countries to travel there and watch us play.
-
Hence, that is one of the reasons why I will be pissed off if we mess this competition up after what happened in the Community Shield and UEFA Super Cup. Not the biggest and most important trophy to be won but it's still something that we should look to win and it's a chance for us to plant the winning mentality into this new team of ours.
-
For the sake of the club, think I can take that. Can't be bothered with what others think of us. After all, we already look idiotic enough to persist with him.
-
The Club World Cup will be held in Japan.
-
At this point, I really couldn't care less which club we are gonna sell Torres to. I just want to see him leave the club once and for all!
-
Going by that logic, we should just wave the white flag then. Why bother wasting our energy against West Brom? And against United and City...

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/nov/12/daniel-sturridge-goals-season-chelsea?CMP=twt_gu Sturridge believes that he can score 20 goals a season if given a proper run in the team.

Just can't see the logic in letting him go in January. He is our only DM apart from Mikel and we need him in January. Why try to create another problem for ourselves by having to purchase another DM(a potentially expensive one!) in the winter transfer window when we should be focusing on getting a striker first and foremost?!

Seriously, what do people want from Hazard? If he doesn't do his defensive duties, people will then be complaining that he doesn't track back and leaves his FB exposed to 2 vs 1 situation. If you shift Mikel or Ramires across, then we will leave more space than before exposed in the middle(in our current 4-2-3-1 setup). If he is defending more, then people are complaining that he doesn't attack enough. I don't see much wrong with him tracking back. You play for the team, not just for yourself. Even Ronaldo at Madrid also help to track back and does his fair share of defensive work. And while I do agree with your point about Hazard should look to dribble more and get more shots away but to put the blame on RDM for curbing his attacking instincts is just plain silly. How can you come up with such conclusion? Hazard has said before that he plays for the team and he doesn't care about personal glory unless if the situation really calls for it, then he will try to win the game by himself. Adding to that, think some people are forgetting that this is Hazard's first season in English football and is still adapting to the changes from Ligue 1. Also, what's with the obsession about possession stats all of a sudden? People seem to have become nitpicking about it after the Liverpool game. Is it really important to have more possession than the opposition in every game?! You can't expect a team to dominate and have more possession than the opposition every time(unless you're Barcelona)! Furthermore with our current group players, we are nowhere near enough to become a possession based team yet. Can't just expect to dominate the ball every time with just the trio of Hazard-Oscar-Mata. We would also need a creative midfielder who is comfortable on the ball playing in the double pivot and it will take time for us to become a team that is comfortable on the ball.

Marin played the full 90 minutes. Looked lively from what I've read. Scored a goal with his head(!) and assisted Kane for our opening goal.
-
No point having the trio if the striker is just so static and not offering any sort of movement upfront. Much better to have a fluid frontline and that includes the striker.
-
Think what we need is a striker who can involve himself in buildup play and also convert the chances. Huntelaar is just a goal poacher. We need a more all-round striker.
-
The referee for this game... We have won both of our games in the league when Michael Oliver is the referee - 3-0 home win over Bolton last season and the 1-0 home win against Stoke this season.
-
So much for endorsing his good crosses before this! Damn you Dave!! One good thing though is that he isn't afraid or rather not mind crossing with his left foot. Have seen that a couple of times already when the opposition doesn't give him time and space to cross with his right football. True but he still did well against a much more experienced FB in Enrique. He hardly got any joy coming up against Azpi.

Even now, they are still being dismissed... Would like to think the Shakhtar game took a lot out of the players and that led to the tiredness late on against Liverpool. And RDM's lack of rotation is affecting us as well. As for the game against QPR, RDM started the game with a defensive lineup and that pretty much speaks for itself. We looked to contain rather to attack then given the circumstances between Terry and Anton. Yeah but that will still take time. Can't just expect major developments in the space of 4 months and let's not forget that this is Hazard and Oscar's first season in English football. As for Mata, we are already seeing improvement from him. He's playing with much better players now than last season and we can see the result especially in this new style of football that we're adopting.

It's Fulham at home. Our next 7 games before we depart for the CWC in Japan: Nov 17 - West Brom(A) Nov 20 - Juventus(A) Nov 25 - Man City(H) Nov 28 - Fulham(H) Dec 1 - West Ham(A) Dec 5 - Nordsjaelland(H) Dec 8 - Sunderland(A) Note the dates for the games as well. We're basically gonna play a game every 3-4 days including the CWC from now till January at the very least. It's extremely vital RDM rotates the team!
-
I never said all the responses. Only mentioned some. And another thing, I agree we do have some issues that need to be sorted out but why no one brought it up when we were winning games? I mean it's not like the problems just suddenly appeared in the last week or so. Some of them were already evident for weeks or even months now!
-
Not an ideal game before Juventus next week but this is gonna be a really tough game. West Brom are doing very well under Steve Clarke and they have won 5 of their 6 home league games this season. They lost the other game to City and even that came in injury time. Might get slaughtered for this but think next week's game against Juventus is way much more important than this. We need our best players fit and fresh as possible for that game in Turin. Can't afford to lose there or otherwise, we have to rely on Shakhtar to beat Juventus on the last day(assuming Shakhtar beat Nordsjaelland too). Imperative that RDM rotate the team this weekend as we also have City to come next Sunday.
