  5. Some of you might have seen the picture already but Hazard tweeted this earlier...
  6. Not taking anything away from Moses's performances in the last 2 matches because he has been very good but I do wonder if these 2 good performances against both Inter Milan and AC Milan have anything to do with us playing Italian oppositions. I mean, there are hardly any real genuine wingers in Serie A especially one that is direct, strong and pacey like Moses thus making teams like Inter and Milan ill equiped to deal properly with players like this. They have looked somewhat lost against Moses and some of the defending was funny particularly when they tried to press and mark him (and Hazard) tightly only to then get turned over so easily leaving the defenders on the back pedal.
  7. Regarding that chance, it's nice to see Ramires being selfless there but given that it was a great opportunity not to be missed and knowing that he can score himself, he should have netted it rather than trying to assist someone else. Missing chances like this could come and haunt us back in competitive matches.
  8. Amazingly, this will be the first time we face Real Madrid, in terms of both competitive and friendly matches, since 1998 where we beat them in the UEFA Super Cup. And again, please do take note of the match time stated above. It will be on 7th August in US and 8th in UK, Africa, Asia etc.

  11. Maybe tomorrow or today, Monday. If not then obviously Tuesday.
  12. So, since we will be facing Madrid, you are gonna do the preview right?
  13. Managerial reunions on Wednesday then. Ancelotti vs Chelsea. Mourinho vs Real Madrid.
  14. I know Tancredi Palmeri tweets lots of BS but not sure why everyone is going all pissed about that tweet of Luiz. He is after all quoting a Spanish source and not Sky Italy! http://www.football-espana.net/34941/david-luiz-push-through-barca-move When did he say that?
  15. Mazzarri probably wanted a different challenge, despite where he has taken Napoli to and left them at. He probably thought he has taken them far enough and needed to go elsewhere to keep himself and motivation going. He has sometimes cut a frustrated looking figure at Napoli anyway.
  16. Don't think so. He was average at best. Some of the things he did was good like his flick-ons and link up play with Cole but there were other times and quite a number of them where it was frustrating. He was overdoing and over-complicating things on the ball. Tried to do too much with the ball and not keeping things simple enough as well as at time holding onto the ball a tad too long when he could have released it earlier to keep the attack going or relieve the pressure defensively (when he tracks back).
  17. It was his poor header that led to us getting that corner which Terry scored from in the 2nd leg. Campagnaro must still be pissed about it.
  18. I just don't get how can the 'all competitions' stats be almost useless. Yes, I do agree that it can distort the reality sometimes BUT if we are to win trophies especially those domestic ones, then we are bound to come up against average-poor oppositions which a player like Moses can be useful. When we bought him, think we all knew that he was never going to be a starter particularly in the key/big games but a decent squad player to come in and do a job for us if and when required (e.g rotations/suspensions/injuries). Granted he hasn't been exactly great like in the Premier League as you pointed out but we need to remember that last season was his first here with us and it was a huge step up from his time at Wigan. It will take time for him to adjust and even though Moses won't ever become a top quality player, he will improve and become a good squad player for us.
  19. Meh. Thought of it before and when I posted about this and got no reply (or confirmation) from others. Anyways, cheers for the info.
