  2. Unless a big offer comes in for him, like the 25m price mentioned previously, think it would be silly to sell him even though he hasn't been great. Ivanovic can play at both CB and RB and I would imagine that Mourinho would alternate him and Azpi in the latter position and other CBs in the middle. Selling him would be like shooting ourselves in the foot at the moment. Would need to get a new CB and a new RB. The experience is key here.
  3. Make that 3 of us. The loading is a tad slow. Something is wrong with the server I guess.
  4. THIS! Kevin Prince Boateng is such an average player. His game is mainly based on stamina and energy and take that out of his game, he's pretty much poor. The players we have now can provide what KPB gives and more. Will be a waste of space and a needless signing especially when he's not the type of midfielder we need!
  5. As GermanBlue has pointed out, it's at 1.30pm UK time. http://www.chelseafc.com/live-press-conferences
  6. Lukaku set to STAY at Chelsea as Mourinho assures young striker he will get his chance
  7. Ivanovic blocking the entire Belgium wall.

  9. Considering he's not even a Chelsea player (perhaps for now), am moving this to the Football Banter section.
  10. Think you are a bit quick to jump the gun here. Haven't even agreed the fee yet!
  11. Levene: Mourinho will rebuild Chelsea's spine
  12. No mention of that so far. Only says we have agreed a deal for Cavani.
  13. Read an article in the Independent before saying that the club admires him for the play his style of play. Was considered by the club apparently. Well, Mourinho is a master of pressing the right buttons to charm people. OR you're just reading way too much into it.
  14. OR rather the last thing Arsenal need behind the ST is a CAM that slows down the attacks with a slow feet and lacking that technical ability. Arsenal needs an enforcer more in their pivot rather than someone like Fellaini playing behind the ST to provide a different option. Wenger will move him there if needed but not when their usual game plan is working.
  15. Yes, it makes no sense but Wenger has always been a stubborn man and likes a certain type of players he likes to go with his style of play. I agree that buying Fellaini will give them a different option upfront but think he would be used in DM instead, as opposed to CAM/behind the ST. Arsenal lack a DM, or a supposed DM in their pivot.
  16. But the issue is that Fellaini is not suited to play there in a team like Arsenal with his lack of technical ability. And not to mention, he's slow and immobile. Doubt Wenger would want to play him behind ST.

  18. An idol of Cristiano Ronaldo...
  19. Then behind the ST? I can't see Wenger playing him there unless he decides to just hoof the ball up to Fellaini and exploit his aerial and physical ability. The latter is the main reason why he has excelled in that role. Otherwise, he doesn't fit Wenger's bill in terms of the technical, quick, crafty kind of player. If anything, he's probably buying Fellaini to play him as a DM, where Arsenal needs a bit of an enforcer in there.
  20. People are happy over the potential sale of Mikel?! How unexpected...
