But that wasn't the original point you made, was it? How can it be one rule for one and another for others? Funny now you're using whether other clubs want the player as a criteria to judge if that player is shit or not. As if that is such a valid way to judge whether a player is good or not.

Cheers for proving my point. You practically picked 1 English player and categorize the entire NT as 'stink'. Funnily enough, the core of English players in our squad - which we were all proud about - over the last decade had 2 English players who we didn't develop and got them from other clubs. I guess it depends on how you define 'top'. I'm not disagreeing with points about England lack top quality players but to categorize everyone as rubbish just because majority, not all, are mostly that is nonsensical.

While I do agree there aren't many top quality English players out there right now, sometimes I do wonder if people's judgment of English talent has been clouded by the general mediocrity of the England NT and influenced by the media. More often than not, I see people are being so immediately dismissive of English players without seemingly have an objective judgment.

No offence mate but think you're being rather ignorant on the lack of English players issue in our squad. It's utterly depressing that we only have 2 English players in the squad right now and only 1 is an England international. We are an English club and we should be having more than that. It's what helps fans to associate the club and if we don't have that, we'll lose that bit of identity. The situation is all the more depressing when you see Arsenal have 6 English players in their squad with all potential first choice in their starting XI. Their first XI was used to fill with foreigners while ours almost have a blend of the two but now, it's like we have switched places. Their squad now is more balanced while ours is top-heavy with foreigners.

Think if we were to replace Mourinho with Simeone, there wouldn't be much difference. Those two are so similar in their coaching style and character that is not even funny.

Wilshere may have more bite and tenacity about him than Gerrard but he's still a suspect when it comes to the defensive discipline. Henderson and Wilshere aren't the typical DM in that midfield. It's like us playing Ramires and Luiz in the pivot previously.

But I question Steve Bruce's ability in bringing out the best in those players. They aren't exactly his type of players and I can't remember Bruce having flair and quality players of such in his previous teams.

I wouldn't even put Oscar into the equation here considering he operates in the CAM position and Reus is more of a wide player. Considering the way we are playing under Mourinho, I'm not even sure if anyone else would come close to what Oscar does for the team. And if we buy Reus (or whoever else), people are gonna complain we never give the youths a chance.

If you have a point to make with good evidence to back it up, then why should you be afraid of what others may reply to your post? I don't think it's a case of people too reluctant to accept Salah has no future at the club but more so, no one is gonna write him THAT fast after just 3 games into the season. You were the one who went into 'panic' mode thinking we're gonna sell him next summer or even in January just because he hasn't played this season. Wasn't even talking about Oscar. And it's surprising you even mentioned him considering it has all been about Salah-Reus for you in here.
