Random thought - Is this Lampard's way of taking 'revenge' on Shaw for joining United over us? Everyone seems to be ridiculing Shaw right now as opposed to focusing on Lampard's retirement reasons.

Considering he's a key figure in Mourinho's system, I doubt that we'll sell him but then again if he continues to be inconsistent, then he could well be sold.

TBF, when the point was made in the first place, there was nothing stated about the club should be buying English players. It was only when someone started to jump the gun and assumed that we should be buying them, that this whole thing took to that direction.

I don't recall anything of such. We had just signed him 2 years ago. Why would we give him a contract extension this quick especially when he hasn't always performed consistently?

TBH, the question in the thread title and poll is somewhat vague. When you ask who is the best striker at the moment, do you judge him just by the amount of goals he scored? If so, then Falcao probably wins it. But if you're judging it by their overall game and not just the goals, then Falcao shouldn't even be in consideration and Ibrahimovic and Suarez will arguably be the Top 2 in that regard.

But TBF a bit, the linesmen had a nightmare with those offside calls throughout the game especially in the first half. They flagged for offside when it's not and they didn't flag for offside when it's supposed to be.

Putting aside all this constant talk about his weaknesses (which never seem to end), you have to feel sorry for the little fella. Things have gone quite horribly wrong for him since last summer. And this isn't exactly new but the Italian reports are linking him to Juventus. Considering Max Allegri favors the diamond system, perhaps him moving to Italy wouldn't be a bad move (and he can reunite with his love bird ).
