  1. I think what she's trying to say is, if you compare Cahill with the other top class defenders out there, he would just be a squad player. But because we don't exactly have many top options, Cahill is a first choice defender in the squad. If lets say we have someone like Varane, doubt Cahill would even be starting.

  3. Daily Express? More like Daily Rubbish or as Mourinho called it - Mickey Mouse website.
  4. How on earth are Basel our bogey side? We have played them 4 times and each of us have 2 wins. People are overreacting to Basel just because they defeated us twice last season but seem to forget that we beat them twice two seasons ago. And just like I mentioned earlier, it's laughable people think Leverkusen are the easiest team of the lot. Next Monday, at 11am UK time.
  5. Chelsea's Andre Schurrle looks in rude health after battling back from his mystery illness Apparently, his illness issue started at the World Cup. 'I won't leave Chelsea in January, I belong here' - Andre Schurrle laughs off transfer talk
  6. Chelsea set to become first professional club in England to pay the living wage
  7. Having different opinions is fine but when that opinion is based on things just like results, then it becomes questionable.
  8. Anything team will need that but the point still stands. Guess there isn't really any point arguing about this if you are just gonna judge Leverkusen based on paper. Oh well..
  9. CatMan likes to 'rub' it in you know. Rub. It. In.
  10. If you put it that way, then you can practically apply that to which ever team we face, not just Leverkusen. You initially said Leverkusen were the easiest team of the lot to play but they aren't. Of the five, Basel are still the easiest one. Yes, they are a good side and may have beaten us twice last season but let's not forget we defeated them twice as well in the Europa League before that. The two losses last term, especially the one in Switzerland, happened because of Mourinho's negative approach.
  11. And the funny thing was, Mourinho himself called it the "Academy Day" yesterday but only brought one youth player and that was on 82-83 minutes. At times, he's really too cautious/pragmatic for his own good. He cares more about results than look to introduce players from the academy, especially in dead rubber games like yesterday.
  12. Decent points made here on playing the youth lads..
  13. Delighted for the lad yesterday. No surprises that he performed better with the illness out of the way now. The goal will help boost his confidence.
  14. Think we need to build a statue of Mourinho outside the Bridge. Mikel has only ever scored under him - 2 in 06/07, 2 last season, 1 this term. He didn't score any between 07/08 and 12/13 season!
  15. Considering we have to play two defensive minded players in the pivot, I would want to see Schurrle in place of Willian on the RW. Need more attacking threat to compensate for Fabregas' absence. Willian works hard but he doesn't provide enough threat going forward like Schurrle does. And Hull are likely to park the proverbial bus this weekend as well.
  16. Looks like he's still working at the club. Apart the ones mentioned above, saw him he did the usual post-match interviews on Chelsea TV.
  17. Judging by the comment, you clearly haven't watched Leverkusen this season. Granted, they are somewhat inconsistent but they are much better than last season under Sami Hyypia. Leverkusen are one highly offensive team who plays the high pressing game this term.
  18. I believe that should be 3rd. We conceded only 3. Only Real Madrid (2) and Monaco (1) have let in less.
  19. Possible opponents in the Last 16 - Juventus, Basel, Bayer Leverkusen, Paris Saint-Germain, Shakhtar Donetsk. The draw will take place on Monday (15th December) at 11am UK time. This is also the third time Chelsea have qualified for the Champions League knockout stages without defeat in the group: 2007/08 - P6 W3 D3 2009/10 - P6 W4 D2 2014/15 - P6 W4 D2

  22. That was the UEFA Super Cup. Was talking about the Club World Cup.
  23. That's like the only trophy we have not won. Oh god, thinking back about it, still pissed that we fucked it up two seasons ago!
