  1. King is a decent player, mid level club. It’ll be very very very interesting if City don’t sign Kane or anyone of note due to ‘financial reasons’. League will be wide open.
  2. God damn, I love Tuchel, infectious personality and I hope we don’t stuff this managerial appointment up.
  3. Sad to see Giroud go, what a bargain buy that was, absolutely super for us, even under difficult circumstances.
  4. I doubt we'd be considering letting Giroud go if we didn't have a striker lined up, or be confident of securing one. You all know what I'm thinking, and you're right, it won't be Haaland.
  5. Lautaro, what a waste of space, glad those links stopped with us.
  6. I would take Rice and Kante in a midfield, depending on what we are playing ahead of them. Kova is a strange one, I watch him sometimes and he is technically so gifted, but so underwhelming at the same time, he could be so much more than he is. There were times I saw Kova and thought it was Hazard, his close control and tight space play is insane, but would I pick him over Jorg? Honestly no, even for Jorgi's faults, he is more valuable to the team. I rate Kova, I really do, he is just under whelming for me, in a sense that I feel he could do SO much more. Hopefully I've explained that correctly, I'm not bashing Kova. ~edit~ Correct, £70m is an insane price, considering the current market. £50m tops.
  7. Gallagher is very underrated, don't feel he's ready to be included though, he would be far better off going to another PL team for another year - Just not a relegation dog fight.
  8. Whilst Rice isn't the best technical player, we can be sure he would give 100% every single game whilst he's in blue, especially with Mount in the team. I would love to see him back at Chelsea, but not for the ridiculous pricetag West Ham want, he has a long contract too.
  9. Couldn’t care less what we look like, I’d prefer that option than holding my hands on my head at the amount of chances we miss, ultimately, we need a finisher and it’s an relatively inexpensive option, with the added bonus of his attitude. I’d be gutted if we went into the season with Giroud and Tammy.
  10. I would absolutely take Ronaldo on a one or two year short term deal, considering the rumblings he wants out, rumours of course. But ultimately, I’d be happy with that as a stop gap, I’ve said it here before, not just because he can still do a job and finish chances, his work ethic and attitude would do wonders for this young team.
  11. Let’s say we got Haaland, what formation do we play? Rules: Havertz must play.
  12. How has Leonardo still got a job.
  13. Crazy how the media casually forget psg and barca transfer fees in recent years, making it seem like the £137m is impossible, sigh.
  14. Playing pretty terrible at the Euros, looks shattered to me, I wonder if that'll continue into next season, even after a holiday.
  15. I don't have an issue having him around as a squad player, as long as he is happy with that role, he does have his uses.
  16. I think the criticism is over the top, but at the same time, I do feel for him sometimes when no one ahead of him makes any kind of run or movement worth of anything but a side pass. I'll be interested to see what formation we settle on next season, as to what midfield we should be running with ie. if we go to a back four or stick with a three.
  17. Rice and Phillips both did well considering they were on yellows, but I still wouldn't be clambering to sign him whilst our other priority positions are out there. I'd prefer Rice over the two, if I had to choose.
  18. We have no idea of the actualities of it, but my opinion, is that Ziyech really steered this one away from us. I cannot fathom the reality of choosing PSG over a club that is challenging for leagues and just won the UCL.
  19. Was just on YouTube and a video came up on the side about Cesc’s time with us, my God, what a player. What a crazy signing that was, never expected it in a million years, or for him to take to a club like ours.
  20. the last part of your post is exactly the reason we should be going two feet in with the transfer window this summer, I’ve said it before, our stock will, realistically, not be higher than this summer for a while.
  21. The thing with City is that they end up with so much dead wood and not able to re-sell their players. Its something that Marina and co do very very well, in most cases, recouping £. I struggle to understand how financially they justify the spend on their books ie. £100m+ for Grealish and let's assume £100m+ for Kane, thats a huge amount. Whilst, yes, I know we spent £253m or so, but we had a transfer ban + made incredibly good sales inbetween.
  22. Wow, huge transfer for City there. What a player.
