If I were Arsenal I’d be putting out those smokescreens as well, holding up another teams business is textbook. Unless Laca goes from Arsenal, I can’t see him going there, nor can I see anyone in for Laca, either.
buy back clause I’m in favour of, who knows.
Feel like we are intentionally waiting to announce, otherwise it gets lost in the Messi ether. Rom's return and the associated narrative is actually really good etc. Makes sense to me.
The biggest difference in Drogba and Lukaku, I feel, is that in a big game with Drogba, I felt zero worries upfront.. Now it is all I worry about in big games.
Nothing emphasises that as much as the FA cup final vs. United.
I would play this before a game, we know he has a chip on his shoulder already about his name not spoken in the same light as Kane etc. Hopefully that plays to our advantage in terms of hunger and desire.
I know opposition etc but Gilmour was fantastic in this game. Looking forward to watching Norwich this season, especially as Cantwell is back in the prem, great talent.
At the end of the day, they fucked their finances and if he wanted to stay, he could, for free. Yes, I understand that’s absurd, but so is Antoine salary and 800m debt. Simple.
I hope we draw PSG, spectacle.
Bottom line from me, I firmly believe that if any of our coaches over the last few years could improve a player, then I believe it’s Tuchel. Simple as that, he has improved the level of quite a number of players, whether that’s up one gear or two.
It is what it is, and we have what we have.
Sadly his brother is the benefactor of having someone successful in his family with money, nothing more, a hanger-on wannabe, good luck to him. Have an office and a suit, but let’s not kid ourselves to think he doesn’t draft in an actual football lawyer to do all the negotiating beyond “so, how much per week and how much agent fee/sign on?”
Not sure where to put this but with Rom returning, do you guys think that we will show more patience in future? Or is that why the Baker’s of this world are still hanging around?
Think of the players we’ve sold in recent years who have gone on to be class.
I haven’t seen anyone wish him anything but well, it’s just associated disappointed to our transfers this summer after the elation of the UCL.
I think I can confidently say that we all wish him the very best, but we’ve gone from Haaland to Lukaku, no matter how improbable the first may have ever been.
