  1. A quick search on google reveals it was running 4 years before Obama's term. 'Dubya' should get whatever it is Obama gets.
  2. Not a chance, we are one of the weakest nations in Asia. If it weren't for US support I reckon Indonesia would have tried something by now.
  3. As I said earlier, by far the most important factor of victory in war (and this is research from the West Point Academy) is the amount of steel a nation can produce. China has 4 times the population of the USA, roughly 1.3 billion. They only need to send about 5 million soldiers, everybody else can be used utterly to do nothing but manufacture products for the army. Stalin did the same thing with the USSR in the 40s, that was the reason they single handedly won WW2 in Europe. The USA cannot force its civilians to work themselves to death producing steel. That is the main advantage that one party, human rights poor countries have in war- they can do what they want and no one is going to stop them. Also Vietnam, and Afghanistan have defeated you. I'll give the USA slack with Afghanistan, that place has never been invaded successfully, not even Alexander the Great could do it.
  4. I think Barack Obama is a war criminal and he should be executed (or whatever the maximum punishment is) for crimes against humanity. His policy with regards to predator drones is sickening, it's basically 'Every man within a 30 mile radius is a terrorist'. Estimates of civilian deaths in Pakistan and Afghanistan range between 900 and 7000, all from predator drones, which have only been used in the last 3 years or so.
  5. Back on topic, unless the entire Western world unconditionally supports the USA, they will be crushed by the People's Liberation Army. Communists make better soldiers than capitalists.
  6. I know how Australia can win WW3. Forget using advanced technology and all that nonsense. We'll just plant Australian Stinging Tree's all over the world, not tell anyone that they're dangerous, and watch people die within 4 minutes of even brushing one of its hairs
  7. Just found out we have a tree in Australia that's lethal to humans if touched. A tree! Contact with the leaves or twigs causes the hollow, silica-tipped hairs to penetrate the skin. The sting causes a painful stinging sensation which can last for days or even months, and the injured area becomes covered with small, red spots joining together to form a red, swollen mass. The sting is known to be potent enough to kill humans, and it can also kill dogs and horses.[2]
  8. It was a reference to The Simpsons . Kent Brockman says this: “Ladies and gentlemen, uh, we’ve just lost the picture, but what we’ve seen speaks for itself. The Corvair spacecraft has apparently been taken over — ‘conquered’ if you will — by a master race of giant space ants. It’s difficult to tell from this vantage point whether they will consume the captive earth men or merely enslave them. One thing is for certain: there is no stopping them; the ants will soon be here. And I for one welcome our new insect overlords.”
  9. Another thing conveniently forgotten is that they lost something like 35% of men aged between 20 and 45 in WW1. That took a massive amount out of their population, and they had a very low birth rate even before the war. France didn't have the manpower to put itself back on its feet in time for WW2.
  10. But we are! Roman Abramovich has a private army of 400 and his yachts are equipped with radar blockers and cruise missiles
  11. But since 1588 Britain has had the advantage of being a global superpower, so far ahead of the pack that they could not be fought on a level field. That's not the case anymore, if China really bothered they could take it within days. Contrary to reports North Korea are not to be worried about at all. Wars are won by the country that produces the most steel. North Korea has awful infrastructure and manufacturing is limited. One or two failed operations and they'll be done.
  12. Britain should stay out of it. This is a war to decide once and for all who will be the sole superpower (until Russia/Brazil/India rise up to challenge the USA), and that sure as hell isn't going to be Britain or any other European country. Stand back and let China and the USA destroy each other and then pick up the pieces.
  13. The French get a very raw deal. Their heroic resistance in WW1 at Verdun must not be forgotten. Yes they folded in WW2 but everyone who faced the Blitzkrieg except for the USSR did. I still don't know how the British managed to shit their way through Operation Sea Lion. Looking at the plan I can't believe Hitler didn't try it.
  14. Then why are they making imperialist movements into Africa and the Middle East? Something is afoot. Remember a few months ago the US established a base in Darwin/Northern Australia? That will be used as a base to control the straits between Indonesia and Thailand, where 75% of China's shipping goes through. If our government has any fucking sense we'll stay neutral and tell the Americans to take their navy base elsewhere. China is our future but we can't trust them as much as the USA. Just sit tight, and enter the war when it looks like someone is going to win it soon to win some brownie points. Stalinesque politics On the subject of Australian war heroes, I think Albert Jacka VC takes the cake. http://www.badassoft....com/jacka.html Cleared and held an entire Turkish trench for a whole night. What a don. And then there are his exploits in the Battle of the Somme: He survived 2 headshots
  15. That's just what happened nearly 100 years ago in WW1. That should have stayed as a small fight between Austria-Hungary and Serbia. But then everyone got involved .
  16. I'm not worried about his finishing, he has a great long shot on him. If he laces every one-on-one he gets like he's shooting from distance he should be fine.
  17. I just got a notification. Perhaps it's restricted to the 5000 club and admins/mods only.
  18. I firmly believe that there will be a major conflict between the USA and China, at least via proxy, within the next 10 years. They are both driving to war. Cold War all over again.
  19. It looks like happening, except it will be the USA fighting China. I don't think Europe will be involved, except as allies to the Americans. And yes, they are going to have it out, soon: http://www.wsws.org/articles/2001/apr2001/cor2-a09.shtml http://www.wsws.org/articles/2011/feb2011/usch-f22.shtml http://www.wsws.org/articles/2009/nov2009/afch-n16.shtml
  20. @capriccioso, That worked. Let me try the code with others. @, @We Hate Scouse, @Jim,
  21. This one worked. I'm getting the code right, but when its posted it just turns out as '@'.
  22. I wasn't being specific to Cavani. Obviously his circumstances are exceptional, that post was more suited to guys like Donadel or Gargano.
  23. @, Did you just mention me? I got a notification.
