  2. Basically he called Cole 'Uncle Tom' which I believe is considered racist in the US.
  3. Yes, but few. Bogarde and Mutu shade him to that. Perhaps Kezman as well.
  4. Hi Not at all! There's an enormous Australian community on here
  5. I don't like seeing talent go to waste. Like how Juninho P. couldn't get into the Brazil team.
  6. Off topic but I don't think Neymar will get there. He's not professional enough. If he does get to the top it'll be a short stay, like Ronaldinho's was.
  7. Surely Torres and Mata will be guaranteed starters as well? It'll be a poor day for club football when someone with the talent of Mata has to come off the bench.
  8. Could you give us a link? It would be funny to see their reactions

  10. I think BlueLion, Lord of the Board, should choose
  11. Can we make this the official TC fantasy league?
  12. Hi Who cares about Belgian football, when they have Jurgen Van den Broeck?
  13. In retrospect I guess in this particular case tighter gun laws wouldn't have made a difference. I don't think the guy would have cared much if guns were illegal or not.
  14. I think Menezes has said all that needs to be said. He wears the number 10 shirt for Brazil and that's not given away lightly. I can see him being a huge success here, but will he play centre midfield? Or will he play in the attacking midfielder position, forcing Hazard to right wing and Ramires to the bench?
  15. And sad about King. Spurs or not he is in my eyes a PL legend. Apparently he went through his career with just 8 (eight!) yellow cards and not a single red card. Outstanding for a defender.
  16. Why the US haven't introduced stricter gun laws is beyond me. This is by my counting the 9th or 10th violent mass shooting since 1999; Colombine, Virginia Tech, the Tuscon shootings, Grand Rapids, Red Lake, the Amish school shootings, Fort Hood, that Seattle cafe, another shooting in Seattle. That's off the top of my head, there are probably more. Edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_massacres_in_the_United_States According to that there have been 18 mass shootings in the last 12 years.
  17. That sounds like a good idea Not really. We'll get perhaps 100 of the 300 guests signing up, the others won't be bothered to go through the registration process.
  18. The same applies for every single top club in the world. Huge injections of cash at some point(s) in their history made them become what they are today. 50 years from now Chelsea won't be seen as some sugar daddy club, as those clubs aren't seen like that now. The following clubs have broken the world transfer record: Arsenal (1928) Napoli (1952, 1975, 1984) Milan (1954, 1987, 1992 and 1992 again) Juventus (1957, 1968, 1976, 1990, 1992) Inter (1961, 1967, 1997, 1999) Barcelona (1973, 1982) Real Madrid (2000, 2001, 2009) British transfer record: Arsenal (1928, 1938, 1971, 1995) Man United (1962, 1981, 1995, 2001, 2002) Tottenham (1970) Liverpool (1995, 2011) Man City (2008) Chelsea (2006, 2011) We never have bought success to the same extent that the above clubs did. We've only broken the 30 million barrier twice, Real Madrid have done it an astonishing 11 times.
  19. But the 4-3-3 (and its variants, 4-5-1, 4-2-3-1, etc.) is still the formation our players like best/respond to. Mourinho ingrained that into the culture of the club. Every now and then we will have to change it to counter specific opposition threats, as Kostas once said "The greatest managers in the world are chameleons not goldfish". But it will remain the formation we use most of the time. I remember Ancelotti trying a 4-4-2 to fit Drogba and Torres in and that didn't work out very well at all.
  20. Stop it, you sound like a RAWKite harping on about Gylfi Sigurdsson!
  21. Why would you take babies to a midnight screening? Stupid stuff. I'm not saying that they have only themselves to blame, sorry if it sounds like that.
  22. What did you do? 'Produce', eh? I like the sound of that!
  23. Isn't this the same thing that you posted earlier, except with Jake instead of Baz?
