  1. I hope you weren't bundling me with him. I wasn't agreeing, I was just pointing out what an enormous overhaul would be needed.
  2. Surely he's trolling about being redirected?
  3. You're our rivals, do you expect us to see you come up and not try and discredit that achievement at all? Liverpool and virtually every other club and its fans have tried to do it to us since Roman, its about time we got a chance to unfairly discredit someone else's achievements.
  4. As an Aussie, who like every other Australian, dislikes seeing an English national sporting team do well: COME ON BELGIUM
  5. I know what the true cause for that was!
  6. He sent Mata off time after time, particularly at Wembley against the Yids. His passing is vastly underrated. Like you said he's not the best passer in the world but he's far better than he's give credit for.
  7. It will happen some day Probably not for about 20 years though though, since the 1990s to about now we've had some of our best of all time. Wade, Viduka, Emerton, Zelic, Kewell, Cahill, Schwarzer, Bosnich, Bresciano, Kalac, to mention just a few. The next crop aren't anywhere near those listed above in their levels of skill; I don't think we'll qualify for the 2018 or 2022 World Cup's. Ah, well, there's always the cricket to look at and be proud of our youth development in that sport
  8. To be fair, he lost that by about 22. From there you could see that unfortunately he wouldn't fulfil what he promised in his Feyenoord days.
  9. Fernando Torres and Juan Mata lol at the bolded statement. Had Mata been born just a little quicker, had it been Sturridge that Kalou picked out time after time during the last few weeks of the season, we could have perhaps finished 4th. And his pass to Torres in the QPR game was quite extraordinary.
  10. Salomon isn't selfish! He's one of the best team players on (off ) our books.
  11. I don't understand why he gets the blame for that affair exclusively. He didn't rape her, she wanted it as much as he did. It takes 2 to tango, yet Mrs. Bridge is a saint in the media.
  12. I expect an announcement from the official website tomorrow, then!
  13. Hi As Strike said, for us Antipodeans, it's already late afternoon on the 2nd of June
  14. My bad, I left Mata on. So effectively, it was a 6-3-0 Oh shit, we've all gone off topic Umm, yeah, basically, as I said earlier, we're but an (admittedly enormous) mosquito biting an elephant from their point of view. Take a look at barcaforum.com and see what their opinions of us are.
  15. So he's much more of a Salomon Kalou type person than a Cristiano Ronaldo style egotist. Good to know, that goes against a lot of my preconceived notions of him and has certainly made me anticipate his signing a bit more.
  16. I don't think Blackman has a future here, tbh. Cech and Courtois will keep him as a backup his entire career.
  17. I still like him a lot and wish him the best but he was a bit of an ideological twit. Stick him in politics or war and he'll be out before you can say "Leon Trotsky".
  18. I think it was a 6-3-1, I saw it as more like this:
  19. My mistake, but 2 games in nearly 2 months still has him going down the Lukaku route for me, Villas-Boas didn't want him around.
  20. I am confident Cahill was signed by Emenalo. Villas-Boas almost never played him, from memory, it took him 6 weeks from when he signed to make his debut and his only game under Villas-Boas was the Napoli away game.
  21. The PA announcer was hilarious: "TOR FÜR BAYERN MÜNCHEN.... THOMASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS MÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". Nek Minnit: "Um, ja, goal for ze Chelsea, nummer elf, Didier Drogba." On an unrelated subject, that's a nice new avatar you've chosen! Too bad it isn't visible in your posts yet.
  22. He was responsible for more than De Bruyne; he has signed Cahill, Lukaku, Marin, and soon-to-be Hazard and Hulk on his own volition. Neither of the two managers we've had this season have sanctioned or asked for any of those transfers. I reckon even Mata and Romeu were signed by him, Villas-Boas would have asked for an attacking midfielder/winger and a defensive midfielder and Emenalo responded with the Spanish duo. That's how a Director of Football is supposed to work anyway, the manager lets them know what position they want strengthened and perhaps makes a recommendation but the final decision is down to the DoF.
  23. No, we're just a small time club to them. For a rivalry to exist, there must be mutual acknowledgement that each club is of a similar stature and consistently compete for the same trophies; from their point of view, only the latter is true. If you present this idea to Barcelona fans they'll laugh at you. Though at least their players etc. have better sense to realise that the pair of us have been rivals in Europe as we've met so often.
  24. Emenalo, he's the director of football, it's his job to liaise between Roman and the manager and make signings. 100% agree.
