I notice Thibaut is 3rd in the Zamora Trophy (the Golden Glove)! Beaten only by Casillas and Valdes. That's quite brilliant.

Must be near breakfast time in India, yes? Time for nutella on toast?

Disruption of minutes silence at Semi

Liverpool fans often make Munich chants and they get let off scot free. I'm not defending what those idiots did, it was disrespectful, but you can bet had it been Liverpool making Munich chants we wouldn't hear any of this. There is no point putting the blame on all of us for what some idiots did. Hopefully they catch them and give them life bans from Wembley or even the Bridge. -
I'd like to see Kalou start. We can't have a situation where Alves gets a whole flank to himself just because Sturridge won't defend.
-
Why?! I grew up on that stuff! It's great.

No way should we sell him at this age. He is the perfect industrious midfielder, he gives us so much drive and energy. As far as physical specimens go, there's not many midfielders in the world Ramires can't run into the ground. It can't be that hard for him to improve technically, can it? I think he can be an excellent midfielder if he just keeps his technical game simple- short, simple passes to more technically refined players, etc. But I still fear his career will peter out in his early 30s. Everyone starts to lose some of their physical attributes then; he'll maintain the stamina until he's 45 I reckon but he'll lose the pace. We've got to do a Wenger and sell him exactly at the point when he starts to decline, if we are to sell him at all. I still think he hasn't got a Lampard/Terry/Drogba style longevity to offer to the club. He's 25 now, that gives us 6 more years of top service, perhaps 8, and then he'll be done I think if he can't improve his technique.

No, I genuinely believe Lampard has scored better. The equaliser vs Everton in late 2006, the nearly 180 degree goal vs Barcelona, the amazing chip against Hull City, etc. As far as free kicks go, imo, Lampard's best was against Fulham in the 04/05 season. Hit from a similar distance, perhaps 5-10 yards closer at the most, with wicked spin on it. Edit: Here it is, at 1:33

If I were a Dortmund player right now I think I would reject an offer from Chelsea. Much as I love this club, there's no way I'm abandoning that incredible support to be called an idiot and worse after one poor game

Gotze won't leave Germany, I'm afraid. Borussia is as well supported as any club, their Yellow Wall at Westefalen Stadion is scary. He'll get good money as well, plus he'll get to stay at home and not have the hassle of settling in in a new, strange country or learn a new language. Really, its perfect for him to stay. I can't imagine why anyone would refuse to play for Borussia when they've got support like this: That's probably half of Stamford Bridge in one stand!!!

Drogba can destroy who he likes, when he likes. Shame he doesn't bother with the league anymore. Start him against Barcelona, use him as a battering ram to do bugger all but shatter Pique and Puyol's strength reserves. Then bring on Torres after an hour to keep him fresh for the Arsenal game, where again he'll have to score his customary double vs the scum and then be subbed off on the hour to keep him fresh for the Camp Nou.
-
Good hit but it was a bit.... boring. No crazy Roberto Carlos like spin! Lampard's scored better goals than that. Drogba's volley though, that display of sheer muscle beforehand must rank amongst his top.
-
We have something they don't have, the Wembley Wonder, Didier Drogba. 10 goals in 9 he's got in domestic Cup Finals/Semi Finals. They on the other hand have the vastly overrated Suarez and Andy "1 goal is worth 35 million" Carroll.
-
It's born of fear more than anything, especially looking at Essien's remarkable swandive. It's been 18-24 months since he was the best midfielder in the world. Now he could play in Australia and still probably not be the best midfielder.
-
35 million a goal? That makes Torres look by far the better option at 12.5 million a goal

I specifically mean the English though. Outside of England Chelsea-hate isn't that strong. You'll have the pro-Liverpool media hoping for a record European defeat to make things easier for Liverpool in May.
-
Most of the English football world is probably rooting for us to lose this. I've seen comments like "Barcelona will beat them 10-0" and "I hope that uppity plastic club and its pathetic fans are shown up". I would be delighted, delighted, to win this, more to just silence the haters than anything.
-
FA Cup's in the bag, we've got a bye in the final. Liverpool putting up any sort of resistance? Too bad 'history' and 'non-plastic fans' won't give them a better chance on the pitch.
-
Chalk it off if you want, it's still 4-1. The media need to grasp this.

This is what it looked like on Fox Soccer:
-
If you didn't see earlier, I missed the game and started watching it exactly 12 hours late
-
Ramires took his goal so well, why can't he do that all the time? LAMPARD!!!
-
Aah, Fox Soccer. Every replay angle they showed had the ball on the line or in the 6 yard box. As it turns out, King is the cheat, he's looking right at the ball and he knows its over the line and he still protested. Poor show.

Mata's 'goal' Have it, Twattenham. Though to be fair, thats why we need goal line technology.
