This attitude is why our club will never be good with transfers. We'll let all the Demba Ba's and Papiss Cisse's of the world slip under our radar and spunk it all on Andriy Shevchenko and Fernando Torres. No more 'top players', thanks. Let's buy them when they have potential and then turn them into top players.
He needs to work on his stamina a bit. One could argue that United relied on Ronaldo nearly as much but he didn't run out of steam 3/4 of the way into the season. Other than that he's had a pretty good first year.
Well done, zola :tophat: I'm addicted to smoking as well. I've been smoking since I was around 15, I hope to give it up soon. Edit: I'm also crazily addicted to Assassins Creed:Revelations. Probably the most enjoyable PS3 game I've played yet.
I think we need a relationship thread. I'm happily single at the moment. Very happy, given all the problems I've seen in the last few pages I'm sick again, ffs. I've got a fever and the antibiotics I'm on cause drowsiness so I'm going to interrupt my routine (have that, doctors!) to watch the FA Cup.
I'm not from England and the FA Cup means as much to me as the CL does. Or at least it did until we won about 5 in a row I thought it enjoyed an even bigger reputation in England, particularly amongst the older fans?
If Spurs win, they had better bloody well smash the Scousers. Or we'll face 6 more months of "King Kenny's a genius, our squad is good enough to win the league, we did a cup double" and "Small club, no history".
We've done absolutely nothing, not even change the transfer market. Consider this: we have never broken the world record transfer fee. Ever. Nor have we ever spent more than 50 million on a player. This was happening way before our times. For instance, Luis Figo cost 37 million back in 2000. We didn't break that until 2011.
Actually that may not be a bad thing! I googled it and apparently, in many parts of Europe crossing a black cat on Friday 13 is considered a sign that good fortune is on the way
