Can't we just invent a new position to play for Ramires? Right winger who doesn't cross sounds good. Tactical innovaters . Seriously though I think he'd do great in a 4-3-2-1 that looked like this, when we have the ball: And like this when defending: Effectively giving our right winger a free role, clearing him from any defensive duty at all. Would be great for Hazard/Marin as they aren't really the type you can ask to track back often. It also gives us 7 at the back rather than 6 as we would get with a 4-2-3-1.

From that link: :D

We don't need a playmaker. This whole thing would be a lot simpler if we played the ball high and bypassed the midfield entirely. So they would only be involved defensively, where I'm sure we can all agree they excel at.
-
A large proportion of his shitness is caused by the lack of a DM partner who has an ounce of common sense in how to play there (hi, Frank). Not even Makelele could hold down an entire midfield by himself.
-
Man City are a great club who never asked for the money. They sold out Maine Road regularly even down in League One. To wish destruction upon their fans is pretty harsh.

I've heard a lot of things about Mikel but never have I seen someone with the audacity to act as though he is at fault for the failure of the pivot rather than Frank "I attack when I want" Lampard. If anything, Lampard should make way to save Mikel from being outnumbered all the time, rather than Mikel's one-off poor passing game being cited as a reason to try someone new with Lampard.

Please, that was because he didn't need to peak. Salomon is above such earthly descriptions like "good" or "outstanding" or "God's gift to football". No, he is much, much more than that. Also this doesn't make for pretty reading: Can't remember the last time we lost 4 in a row.
-
They did to Spurs (lol), who were a fellow top 4 team.
-
Aside from the fact that he's North London scum, a blue chip striker for competition is the last thing Torres needs right now.
-
On the plus side: Completely fooled De Jong there.
-
Not that it was possible anyway, but after losing the Community Shield we can't beat Barcelona's haul of 6.
-
Alright we need a striker. I'm thinking a loan deal for a player who won't threaten Torres. Adebayor, if we can arrange a 50-50 split in terms of paying his wages.
-
Terry was worse in the Community Shield, he should be dropped as well. I really hate how the armband gives players an automatic entry into the team regardless of form.
-
Don't call it a comeback.. he's been here for years
-
Has Caeruleus won everything yet?
-
One thing we have to remember is that our entire CL campaign was predicated on being far up shit creek without so much as a water cracker to paddle with and yet somehow staying in the game. That's not a sustainable model; and for that reason we can't really expect too many things from a squad that technically hasn't been improved. We've shipped out the man who peaked at 32, the man who peaked whenever he played Messi and the man who never peaked at all and replaced them with a bunch of 20 year olds.
-
There are a few others who do better than usual when they're getting stick from the media. Terry is a great example, to a lesser extent, Drogba always responded very well whenever an opposition manager called him a diver (hi, Rafa).
-
Can you imagine someone being suspended from three CWC games? They'll probably never serve out that ban
-
Yes, it was an actual attempt at helping the team, whereas Terry's seemed to be more about a personal battle with Alexis. He did something physical to him at the Bridge as well, I can't quite recall, but I think it was an overly forceful bodycheck, which Sanchez wasn't happy with, and was probably still annoyed about in the 2nd leg.
-
I'm disappoint. I wanted to see Paulo
-
He has to, has to hit the ground running. Or the media will get on his back just like Torres, and so will some of our own fans and of course, opposition fans. Everyone wants him to fail, United/City because he rejected them; Liverpool because we're plastics, Arsenal, QPR and the Yids, of course. And then there's the legion of neutrals he pissed off having a wank over himself on twitter. He'll feel like the world is against him, and that sort of thing can be devastating for a player whose game is so strongly based on ego.
-
It's Ferreira time. *Insert MC Hammer reference here*

Absolutely no room for experimentation with these lot. Mourinho's years of "4-3-3 up and at them" is drummed into the heads of players that he never even worked with. Short of selling 10 players most influenced by Jose, and buying 10 new ones, we cannot facilitate such a change. It's just not possible for us. It would be like Big Sam at Bar-senal. Remember Ancelotti with his diamond midfield? AVB with the high line? They don't like change. @ sure loves his Libero's.
-
1 goal is hardly a bag.
-
Guys what do you think of us bringing in Adebayor on loan? He's pretty good, 78 PL goals, even got 14 at the Yids, and he would offer a great physical alternative for us to whack high balls at if Torres isn't working.
