Just about everyone played out of their skins tonight. Cech, Bosingwa, Cahill, David Luiz, Cole, Mikel, Lampard, Torres, Drogba, even Malouda. Bit disappointed in Salomon and Mata (barring THAT corner) in terms of what they offered in attack but they at the least worked hard defensively.

I still don't see the problem. He's certainly capable tactically, and getting good support staff will get him to a higher level. You don't need to be a tactical genius, Sir Alex Ferguson certainly isn't. He's already a master motivator. Bringing the best out of a lot of our players who didn't give a fuck not that long ago. He has the sense to not play Sturridge as a winger. And his transfer record is immaterial since we have the excellent Emenalo (not joking) responsible for signings. Finally he genuinely loves the club in a way none of our managers, not even Jose, did since Roman's takeover.
