I don't think league is as important as it was before. Yes PL and La Liga are nice to have, but CL is number one. Is the greatest tournament that this sport has to offer. Build a team for that competition and you are golden. And as you said yes Monaco is not in the CL, but it will not be hard to get into the CL there like it is in the EPL. I really thought we would not go for older players because of our policy. But with Mourinho coming back is a good thing if this happens. As it will show what we really need the most. Our team is nearing completion bar that one top dm. Mikel is just good enough for a squad player and that's all he will be. But this guy might be the final piece we are missing. If you take a look back at Mourinho Chelsea I would say that the most important player in that formation was Maka. Take him out and the whole foundation comes crashing down. Not many people notice it but the role of his skills as dm was what made the difference from attack to defense.
