So because of the summer transfer window it's exactly why we was one point above relegation zone in December? Oh wow it all makes sense now!!!
-
Have Bielsa come in for a year or two and then Sampaoli to take over. That would be sweet. Because let's face it, Bielsa is just like Mourinho. Good enough for a season or two.
-
Another good point that people fail to realize. I mean if it was that easy why he didn't do it this summer? Because there was no more assets to sell!
-
I think you hit the nail here my friend. To me it also seems that the club have been limited and will continue to be limited due to the stadium. What we need is a Wenger. I know we all laugh about it, but that's what we need while we build our stadium. Mourinho can't do that, because he needs to buy in order to be competitive. I mean that's the main excuse everyone is saying why we are so bad. Mourinho could not buy anybody this summer and that's why this whole mess happened.....
-
What if we can't have Simeone? I really don't think he wants to leave. What would be your second option?
-
Same, it will improve in a month if we are doing good and winning games. Terry said the same thing.
-
Okay no better choice this winter then him. I wonder how much he will cost. But perfect for the type of player we have. Linking up with Pedro, Oscar, Willian and Hazard might be good. Edit: The article says "The 27-year-old, who has 12 goals in 19 games for club and country this season, would fetch around £8.5million if Leverkusen decide to sell." If that's the actual price it would be a good buy.
-
I second that, I take Chicharito. He is the poacher we need in our team at this moment. And I don't think he would be that expensive.
-
No totally wrong. In a stadium there's more of an intimidation factor and going with the herd. But then again you know best just because you go to watch the game in person. I'm sure that's how the fans that watch NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL from other countries feel the same..... You should know if you live in America that most of the true opinions that are voiced are never in the stadium but outside. The talk shows, the papers and all that stuff. There's too much emotions and herd like mentality in a stadium for people to voice their right opinions. They just go with what everyone else is doing.
-
What a crazy season hey? Either the top teams suck horrible or the league is getting much harder each year? Well we are crap in Europe so more then likely it's a combination of both.
-
Now that Mourinho is gone I have some hope for our youngster.
-
Playing against Liverpool. Just scored.
-
We played some good futbol with him in 09. But it's been a while and I don't think he has it in him. Yet it sure is good he's keeping a good staff to help him. And if we can be a bit of an attacking team then it should make the remainder of the season fun to watch. Who knows we might pull a miracle and finish 4th.....
-
Still adapting. I remember it took Ramires 6 months to get it together.....not that Ramires is the best in the world but just saying.
-
And still at the end nobody cares. When they win no one cares. It's all about United or Liverpool. A small team that no one will care unless they win the CL back to back.
-
We might need Lampard then at the hierarchy. He is smart and polite. That's what needed when working with the higher ups.
-
Yeah but city after they won the pl they did the Same thing as us. Hardly spent. And they didn't do as well as before but didn't fall apart like with Mourinho. This then shows that as long as we can spend money here and there and have an average manager like pellegrini we will be okay. We are not going to die if we don't have the the "world greatest"
-
Well pellegrini ain't the best in the world but he has done a far better job then mourinho in a 3 year period. We will do the same with a manager that is not so problematic and has a good philosophy.
-
And you know how city done this? With two not big name managers. Mancini and pellegrini. I was often saying last season that Mourinho has done nothing great that pellegrini did in his first two seasons. Mourinho did exactly the same. But with pellegrini there was progress and he was a gentleman, Mourinho was like a man without control. Anyhow pellegrini did put in the knife under Mourinho by saying this: "To win two titles in three years would be quite an achievement, I think, and we were runners-up last season too. That was not our best season, I admit, but at least it was not a disaster." And he is right if you don't win anything then at least don't be a disaster like Mourinho.
-
Good point. I think they would much rather have someone like Carlo for a longer period of time then mourinho because of his personality. It's a bit shame that it happened this late to figure that out, but hey better late than ever. I do believe with all honesty that things are different. It seems expectations have changed. What I saw this season proves me that. I think whoever is our next manager will be here for quite a long time. He's minimum objective would be that of Wenger, just finished top 4.
-
So your whole point is identity? Okay I understand that. Like I wrote somewhere before, I honestly believe that Roman wanted to make it work with Mourinho. He waited as much as he could until he had no choice This really show me that they do want to build something but not if we are in the situation like we are, in 16 by December. I'm sure they have now lower their expectations and might be something like what Wenger has, just finished in top 4. That's my belief and I might be wrong but that's what it feels like it's going to happen from now on. They won't fire a manager just for not winning anything like with carlo second season.
-
Totally agree. This is the mourinho version we all dream of. But pity he doesn't know English and to be fair he has it good at a. Madrid. Yet if the board don't care about good Fútbol but be competitive he is the guy to have if he's willing to come.
-
That's what I think. However with the board appointing Mourinho I think they didn't care. They just didn't expect him to lose the dressing room for his second time in his career. So let's see, because it's true Simeone is like Mourinho in the style of playing however much more respectable if you can call it that. Mourinho is just too much noise, and sometimes not worth it. Simeone would not bring all the shenanigans that Mourinho brought and that would be better for a manager managing a team for a long period of time.
-
Your right about the word, I'm sorry my friend. But other then that I still think that everything the fans do are totally in their accord except this. We can't have someone second guessing our owner as one of us. You can see he was at pains about the whole situation. He really waited till as long as possible to make this decision. Gave him plenty of time to make it work, but he could no longer turn it around.
-
Good response. I respect this. As well as I respect the fans chanting Mourinho and booing some of the players. What I don't like is when someone like @Ossie the King, bad mouth Roman as not being one of us. That to me is retarded and disgusting! Because if it wasn't for this man vision, passion, time and money, Mourinho wouldn't have been here in the first place. And not to forget the "Special One" would have been the "shit one" as AVB once alluded without the money to buy good players. So really, chant Mourinho's name all you want, boo the players all you want but don't talk trash about Roman.
