The same I'm a big fan. Would be perfect for this system as he's fast and has good link up play. Think he will have a better link up with Hazard then Costa has with Hazard.

Yeah you need a good blend. I definitely agree on spending big on younger players, but its not good to have a team stack of younger players. You need to have your more established/older player here and there. A good balanced is needed. And Yes Payet plays in Hazard position, but Hazard is more flexible me thinks. Payet to me is the upgrade to Oscar, not really Pedro. Pedro an upgrade would be A. Sanchez but that's impossible. So I would happily take someone like Di Maria.

What I see is that while Mourinho and Pep sees as the main answer is to buy and buy, Klopp and Conte are to work work work. You see the difference the former and latter have had an effect on what they have. Granted they all need to buy but not to the excessiveness Mourinho and Pep always required.

True but I think Payet is a late bloomer ala Drogba. If he can have 3 good seasons that's totally worth it. And hey if we can't get Griezman till two years from now, then Payet would be a good stop gap till then.

Because he's a limited player. I said the same thing about Willian and people was like selling him in the summer was dumb and all this stuff....really? When a player peeks and you can upgrade you do it. I remember when Malouda had that amazing season with Carlo title run, that was his peek and it was time to sell. But no we kept him and end up leaving on a free..... Players like Malouda, Willian, Pedro are limited and when they hit their peek you should look to upgrade.

I think that was more down to their board being cheap. Remember he left Juventus because of this with the board. Thank god our board ain't like that, and one thing I agree with Conte is that is better to spend much more on younger players with much more potential as they will last a long time. Like say we spend a lot on Verrati, that would be worth it because hes young and has plenty of potential. Juventus was not able to do that, here at Chelsea Conte will be able to do that because the board has no problem with that.....they do get a little stingy when it comes to older players with higher price as we saw with Radja. But young players with potential like we saw with Bats, they put the money down!

I think that is what was needed, someone to build a team. Managers like Allegri we had, caretakers like Hiddink. Carlo, RDM, Benitez etc etc. Since Mourinho Mark 1 we have not had a manager to build a team. We are finally seeing that with Conte that no one was able to do since a decade ago. Mourinho tried his second time but failed miserable. Conte everything looks good, and what's better Roman has been waiting for this moment. To have a manager that is able to coach good attacking style as well defensive. He finally got his man, and I'm sure Roman will back him with all the money he can give him.

That would great if true. But I take those with a pinch of salt. Action is more important then words and we will know this is true if in January transfer window there's some good spending done.

Seems like he don't like Allegri as to compare to Conte. I remember when we was discussing the Conte or Allegri thing most people mentioned that it was Conte that build the team. Allegri was like just showing up after everything was put into place.

True but we did sold Ramires, and going to get rid of Mikel. We can't have all world class players, but need some depth. And your not going to get world class in January transfer window. As someone said in the General Transfer talk is best to spend big on younger players with world class status or potential like griezzmann , and Dybala. But I feel that first these type of players won't come in a January transfer window and will be much harder to get because of the current status of their team. They are winning things, have a good manager hence comfortable. The players that I feel might be much easier to get even though expensive as well are from PSG. Was reading that Verrati is not liking it anymore, and this is the sense I'm getting in general for Ligue 1. The top players at PSG are just getting tired of that project, and when you are in such situation is much easier to target a player. Like with David Luiz, he wanted to leave and because of that it was easier for us to get him. Now can we get griezzmann and Dybala? Of course anything is possible, as long as you give enough money and the player wants to come.

Yeah good upgrade to Mikel, some extra body for midfield and you don't spend a lot of money. Saved your money for a big buy like Verrati next summer.

Well you look at the price and risk. Risk is high because he may not be good any more. But price will definitely be low giving that his contract expire next summer. If we want to avoid all the free transfer battle with many clubs we can just pay a small fee this January and get him. Give him half a season to get back into the game in the PL. I mean look at what Conte has done to Moses? A cast out! What's not to say he can have the same impact on Witsel? And that at a good price!

According to transfermarket his contract expires next summer, 30.06.2017. What you guys think? Can get him this January for cheap or wait till his free agent next summer and have to pay higher wages....

Would you consider also getting Witsel for another CM cover? His contracts expires the summer of 2017....I'm sure the team will want to sell this January so not to let him go for free in the summer...although we can also make a contact with him for the summer and get him for free. I think this would be a buy like Cahill years ago, when he had little time till his contract expire and we got him at a good price. What do you think? He will come very cheap with such little time left on his contract.

I been thinking about also getting an upgrade not just Matic, but Cahill and Pedro. Cahill well it's oblivious, get Manolas. For Pedro it's a bit much harder. I do like James, but Pedro is harder working. So it seems like a true winger is needed for this position. Alexis Sanchez would be the best choice, but that's like an impossible target to get from Arsenal. So I was thinking about Angel Di Maria. Do you think that might be a good one for the wing? To me PSG is losing it's shine and top players might not want to continue there. Obviously the first player I would want is Verrati, but I was wondering if Di Maria might be a good upgrade that we are able to get out there?

For United fans is not all that bad if the club realize the mistake they made with this man. If they sack him they still have a choice of getting a top manager as Simeone will be available. Simeone is the real deal and United would be stupid if they let him pass by and they keep Mourinho. But we shall see, if they keep Mourinho then better for all of us as United will never perform to their top. And for Arsenal, well Sampoli who I thought was a decent prospect is doing great at Sevilla. If he keeps up it up then he might be a good shot for replacing Wenger me thinks. Then we will have all the top managers in the league....just missing Bielsa.

I remember even during our winning run of the title some of us was not satisfied with certain things . Totally different right now with Conte after battering Everton . I used to like Mourinho a lot but I started to fell out with him after the tito eye poking incident . It's like that event cascade everything to follow .

By the way this game reminded me a bit of a game many years ago. Argentina vs Colombia in the World Cup qualifier of 94 when Colombia beat them 5 to 0. Just had that same feeling of watching a team come into stardom.
