  1. I was not surprised with the changed. I was thinking this time it was for real. He was a patience manager, and I would have done the same thing. But after losing to Arsenal it was too much and changed had to happen.
  2. So horrible with the strikers we had for a while. Let's hope that Higuian is better then Morata and Giroud combined.
  3. Barcelona sign Frenkie de Jong from Ajax for €75m, joins in summer
  4. Torres cost 50 mill, this is just a loan till the end of the season. If he goes good we extend. It's a far better deal then Torres.
  5. More then likely to be signed at the last day. As always with our club that drags everything to the last day. Can't expect them to finish something in proper time.
  6. Same thing for any manager we have. And will be the same thing in the future.
  7. Marina. They don't have a clue, and keep doing the same mistakes over and over again. That's call insanity.
  8. In the article that Jason put Sarri said this: “I think it is different because Conte was using a four-man defence and changed to a three-man defence,” Sarri said. “But he was used to doing that anyway, so it wasn’t quite the same, whereas this is the football I have. I am a good teacher of this football. I don’t think it would be a good idea if I try to teach my players a different type of football. There will be some changes perhaps but there will be no massive upheaval.”
  9. Check this out: Mourinho insisted Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp were afforded more luxuries than him in the Premier League. Mourinho highlighted the support the pair have received in the transfer market since taking over at Manchester City and Liverpool respectively. "For me it is more complicated as a manager as I don't focus on the football itself, I have to focus also in what is to prepare the future," Mourinho said. "I think the future starts to be prepared with principles. That is more important than the football you watch and comment on. It is more important the culture you bring to the club, the principles, so it is a bit more complex. "But you have the case of Manchester City. In the first season, Guardiola was not a champion, it was really difficult and people were expecting a winning Manchester City. "They were coming already from winning period, champions with (Roberto) Mancini and (Manuel) Pellegrini. Some of the players were already champions twice, (Sergio) Aguero and (Vincent) Kompany, and in the first to the second season Pep made great decisions, but great decisions that were supported. "For example, he didn't want (Pablo) Zabaleta or (Bacary) Sagna, two right-backs, and he didn't want (Aleksander) Kolarov or (Gael) Clichy. In the same summer he sold four full-backs and got four full-backs. He got (Kyle) Walker, Danilo, (Benjamin) Mendy and another. He was supported. "In Liverpool, I think how many players were in Liverpool before Jurgen arrived? No Alisson (Becker), no (Virgil) Van Dijk, no (Andrew) Robertson, no (Mohamed) Salah, no (Roberto) Firmino, no (Sadio) Mane, no Fabinho, no (Georginio) Wijnaldum, no (Naby) Keita, so this is work in depth. "So when I speak about leadership related to the structure of the club, it is not just leadership, it is everything, even the football ideas. "If you are manager (and) you have in your hands the possibility to choose the players you want to follow your football idea, or to follow the idea that you think is the best to win a certain competition, that is one thing. Another thing is if you are (not) able to do this." Mourinho also believes the mentality of players is changing and says one of his players asked him to stop criticising him publicly. "I had recently one of my players, I was just coaching them, and when I coach on the pitch I like to see myself free because I am in family and I want to be able to criticise everyone," he added. "I had one player say, he was very polite and not confrontational, 'Please when you criticise me, can you do it in private?'. I said why and he said, 'Because it's my stature in front of the other players, when you criticise me I don't feel comfortable'. "He was one of the top players of his generation. Nowadays you have to be very smart in the way you read your players and their personalities." https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/11612220/jose-mourinho-says-he-has-rejected-three-job-offers-since-his-man-utd-sacking
  10. Well you have less patience then me. Because for the record I wanted to keep Conte, despite how woeful we was. I knew the problem was the same thing that Sarris is saying. But Conte was a fool for always having a go at the board. You can't win in this club by doing that. I genuinely feel that the club also want to have patience, but could not do it with the past 2 managers because of how they went about. Sarri is much easier to handle and because of that I would not be surprise that he is still here come next season.
  11. Because we all know that is true. Same players that drop in performance for two of those managers. Did it for Mourinho, for Conte and now Sarri. They will do the same for any new manager that comes in.
  12. We still got EL. Don't worry he will change some things. That talk he just gave its pretty convincing to me. After the Spurs game, I would have done the same. Mad at the player, but maybe you thought it was a one game. So be patience with them and give them time. I think this time is for real.
  13. Yes, some players should change. As far as tactics I don't know. I still he should still continue with the 4-3-3....but with a striker. No False 9. I really dislike that.
  14. Well let's wait and see. Sometimes it's better to be a bit more patience and he was.
  15. Finally, this is what I want to hear! We shall see what comes of this.
  16. Think he is correct, because the same thing keep hapening. First with Mourinho, then with Conte and now with Sarri. There's something wrong when the same thing keeps happening. The players perform well for a period of time, and then just drop.
  17. But you said Alonso. Jorgi and Kepa are quality. Kova is just a loan. So it's a good deal.
  18. Guardiola didn't change after his first season. He was also rigid and people thought he was crazy. I'm willing to give Sarri another season to see if there's improvement. I knew the first season we would be like this. That's why I'm not surprised. However we should see some improvement next season.
  19. I think Alonso going full rogue in the 2nd half and trying to score is a show of everything that is wrong with this false 9 system.
  20. What can you do, the manager wanted to get a batter LB and the club gave him Alonso. Don't you remember he came as last minute buy? Can't fault the manager when the board does not show ambition. I remember Conte wanting to get an upgrade with Alex Sandro but board didn't do much. Again can't do much when the board does not show ambition. Manager got to work with what he has.
  21. The reason they start is because they are the best we got.... The board have lost ambition and the manager has to do with what he gots.
  22. That should be no reason to sack a manager. Every manager we always have, had a "favorite" player that they played and we dislike. I remember Mourinho love with Ivan when most here was calling for his head. In the end every manager are like that. Hardly no reason to sack. Because then no manager will ever be able to last. lol In fact I think the board and also me would have liked Conte to continue. Despite last season. But his constant moaning of the board for transfer didn't help. This is what I like about Sarri, he will not take on the board like that. Just work with them and the players you have.
  23. Alonso was the only one trying to score a goal today. So even though he sucks at defending I give him props for always trying to score. Because with this false 9 there was no one in the box! I really hate this false 9! We need a striker now!!!
