  1. Anyone who keeps picking the managers and then sacking them is doing a horrible job. Just not hire anybody since they are not able to think clearly as every appointment they make they don't stick with their choice.
  2. The bad thing about sacking another manager is that we keep the same underperformed players. Alonso, willian and such. Because the new manager wants to try them.
  3. Horrible defeat, thought we would surprise here like we did at the bridge. But it's clear he lost the dressing room. I thought he would change the personal but still see Alonson in the team. Disappointed by that more then lose.
  4. Don't know where to put this, but thought this was interesting: English youth products outstripping Bundesliga, says Dortmund’s Zorc • ‘It seems they overtook us’ says Borussia Dortmund chief • Jadon Sancho’s success broadening English players’ horizons Borussia Dortmund’s sporting director, Michael Zorc, has admitted English clubs have overtaken their German counterparts in terms of the quality of young players being produced in the academy system. The former Manchester City forward Jadon Sancho has enjoyed an outstanding breakthrough season in Germany to help Dortmund establish a seven-point lead at the top the Bundelisga, with the 18-year-old’s decision to seek first-team action overseas paying dividends for both parties. Arsenal’s Emile Smith-Rowe became the latest English teenager to sign for a German side when he joined RB Leipzig on loan last month and Zorc believes that Premier League academies are leading the way in terms of producing quality young players. “Let’s go back say five or 10 years … there was a time that English clubs signed German players,” he said. “There was a lot of discussion here: ‘It’s all about money you know, it’s too early for them to go from Germany to England.’ But, in the meantime we have the feeling that, yes, the education and development of youth players in the English academies is quite good, to be honest. The teams don’t only spend much money on transfers or salaries but also on infrastructure. When you see these youth academies – for example Man City – you can’t compare it with the German standard. It’s much higher, much higher.” Zorc added: “It seems to me that it’s something like a business model for them because even if they don’t succeed in their own teams they sell them for higher prices. I just read a figure of Man City – I think they’ve sold young players for more than 150 million within the last three or five years. You can recognise it also in results. You know the English teams are reaching under-17, under-19 [finals] compared to the German ones. It seems to me that they overtook us.” Sancho will come face to face with another Arsenal loanee in the form of Hoffenheim’s Reiss Nelson on Saturday in the Bundesliga, before he returns to London to face Tottenham in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Wednesday. Yet Sancho, who opted against signing a lucrative deal at City in 2017 to pursue his career abroad instead, has warned that it is no guarantee of prospering. “I feel like young players are looking to go away now, because they are seeing my success, but it’s not easy,” he said. “People think that because I am doing so well, but everyone’s journey is different.” https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/feb/07/bundesliga-michael-zorc-borussia-dortmund-jadon-sancho Seems like other leagues are noticing, and it seems like it's time we also take it serious and start trusting in some of our younger players. Quality indeed has improve from the days of Bruma, Van Anholt, Manciene, etc etc.
  5. That's why a loan with option to buy was a really good deal from the board. I would still buy him if we get him for a cheaper prize then what Real madrid are asking. We shall see.
  6. Chelsea's faith in Maurizio Sarri's philosophy is being tested Maurizio Sarri's Chelsea project will take time but do they have the patience to stick with it? Perhaps they should heed the example of Manchester City, writes Adam Bate. Whatever they decide comes at a cost. Failing to best utilise Kante is an opportunity lost. Abandoning trust in Sarri to make the sort of changes that were no doubt anticipated as likely from the outset, would feel like a misstep too. Either way, these are problems that might well have been avoided if Chelsea had more clarity about the club it wants to be. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11668/11627975/chelseas-faith-in-maurizio-sarris-philosophy-is-being-tested Can read the rest online, but that ending point is the sticking point. As a club we have no clarity.
  7. I think we will win. City might be too desperate to win, and we will hit them comfortable.
  8. It's like Liverpool letting us win the game so that United could not win the title in 09. Same here, if someone don't like Liverpool a lot, they rather City to win the title hence incline to let City beat us.....
  9. As we move to more technical I don't know if he fits. The good thing about him is his height. We only have one Kante, and Sarri wants to have a good back up. Perhaps we bring back Baka and next season see how he does? But yeah as we go more pass, pass, he will be very awkward for us as well. So it's a 50-50 here. It's going to be up to Sarri and see if he can fit with us, because he already has done that with Cahill, Moses, Drinkwater and such.
  10. I still back Sarri. Give him till next season, we gave him two years contact. Let the man do his work!
  11. Same thing, as I said they did the same thing to Mourinho, to Conte and now to Sarri. Board must realize this and for once get rid of the players that constantly start this mess.
  12. Deals like this is what's all wrong with this club. We waste money on crap.
  13. Sarri was right, he has a weak mentality. Not fit to be a leader. I saw enough for many seasons to realize this. How he disappear with Mourinho, did the same with Conte and now with Sarri. I wonder if Real Madrid are seeing this and considering their options. Because if you want to replace Ronaldo you need a player with that winning mentality.
  14. Well we had the same problem when Conte was here. And he got sack because of this. We just have a a club that is being run to the ground because they have no vision and no plan.
  15. They motivate themselves for the spurs game and here just turn off. They have done this for the past few years. Sarri was right, the group is weak in mentality and can't motivate themselves.
  16. That hurt but at one point you have to notice that it's the players, because we are having the same issues for the past 3 managers. Is not going to change no matter who we get. We will just do good for a short period of time and then go back to the same issue.
  17. Higuian was having a good game? But no goal, oh men his confidence will go down as it was with Morata. Morata was good at the beginning and then went downhill.
  18. Not surprised that this guy is doing well while we get a dud. It was not hard to call before hand.
  19. Emanolo how woeful he did. Just like the previous one we had with Arnesen that went to Hamburg and did bad as well. Shows why we was doing bad.
  20. Nice knowing you kid. I would love to keep him, but if he put in transfer request, then it's time to honor his wishes.
  21. I don't think we will keep Kova. Unless Real sells him for a cheap price.
  22. He's leaving this summer, so not too much bother. Just help us finish the season in top 4 and then go in the summer.
  23. I don't think rabiot would backup up jorgi. I think rabiot is more like Barkley right? More of attacking midfield then the deeper midfielder role that jorgi plays.
  24. I think paredes or Barella would have been awesome but let's be honest, they will not replace jorgi. So I understand the hesitant on buying those two.. As far as rabiot it's a good deal because contract is up in the summer. Can get him for a good price like we did with cahill many moons ago. Although he was not the best but for what we paid for him, he provided good return. Something similar would be with this buy. I will not be surprised to see Chelsea get him before the January transfer window ends.
