You're being unreasonably pessimistic. If we play Mata and Hazard and play somewhat attacking football we can create some chances. I don't think Juventus are particularly deadly on the counter attack as they aren't particularly quick. We can outplay Juventus if we do the right things. As I said trying to out possess them by stopping them playing in the middle will undoubtedly win us this game as they don't have great threats going forward. Our solid defense should be able to cope with them.

You must be joking. So you've just basically said Lampard should not be helping out Mikel in defense in a 4-2-3-1? So you believe we should have essentially 4 attackers and one DM? Utter nonsense. There are no hard and fast rules as to what makes up the double pivot. So you and others who argue the double pivot doesn't consist of 2 DM's, I can argue it doesn't have to consist of a Regista and a DM and can have 2 DMs. Especially if that Regista will offer no defensive cover, like Lampard. Lampard's lack of cover and even lack of effective link up play (which is what he should be doing well in order to warrant a starting place) is leaving us weak in midfield. We get out played in that area. Mikel and Lampard can't play together, no fault of Mikel, who is doing a good job and has shown he can be pretty reliable. With a better partner alongside Mikel, we may strengthen this weak area. Of course Lampard is not solely at fault for everything. However he is a weak link which we should address.

A role he doesn't play well either. How many times has Mikel been left exposed? Many times. Many. I hope RDM shocks us all and drops him for Ramires/Romeu.

If we ended up changing to 4-3-3 I'd have Oscar over Lampard anyway. The bottom line is he should just not be starting anymore. The old guard has STILL not been phased out completely yet for god's sake. Ramires, Oscar, Mikel all offer something that warrants them starting over a seemingly past it Lampard.

We don't have the DM's to completely shut out Juventus's midfield but we can still shut out at least one player. Obviously that player has to be Pirlo. I don't think Marchisio or Vidal have the creativity to hurt us too much, as good as they are. Stay reasonably solid at the back and we can keep a clean sheet. This is a home game so we need to be more adventurous and should attack them. The away game against Juventus is the game where RDM can be forgiven for being defensive.

I hate any club that's not Chelsea. Especially ones with as many cocky, deluded fans as Juventus.

On November 21st we will know everything. We will have the information we need to know how good we are and if RDM should stay/go. By November 21st we would have faced Arsenal, Tottenham, Man United and Liverpool in the league. In the Champions League we would have faced Juventus and Shakhtar twice. Novemeber 21 is RDM's deadline as far as I am concerned.
