  1. Well that sucks. He will almost certainly not be risked then. Torres it is then. Also Pacquiao, no way is Piazon going to start. The only games he may play are carling cup games.
  2. We should win this. We outplayed the Italian champions for large portions of the game. We can certainly deal with Stoke. If Sturridge starts at least we will have some presence up front as well. I can't decide who I'd rather have in the lineup. Marin or Moses? What about you guys?
  3. It seems like we can't stay mistake free in any big games. I'm looking at the likes of Mikel, Lampard, Terry and Luiz when I say this.
  4. I thought we were the better team. Say what you want about the second half but the first half showed, quality wise we are the better team. Second half was more even then towards the end Juventus dominated the game. We need to be more consistent and try not to fade out of games as a team.
  5. Hazard could use a rest. We don't want to do to him what we did to Mata last season. Oscar should be nailed on to start. Marin should come on for a some minutes (I assume he's fit by now). We need to win this. Lets not slip into a rut here.
  6. Sturridge Mata Oscar Marin/Moses Ramires Mikel Cole Terry Cahill Azpilicueta Cech Rest some players and introduce new players.
  7. God almighty please put Oscar, Mata and Hazard on the same pitch!
  8. I thought Ramires had a decent game because I saw him dropping back into the middle a lot. That's where he should stay as he obviously plays a lot better there.
  9. JT was as much at fault as Mikel for Juve's 2nd goal. Too often our defenders are failing miserably at playing the offside trap...
  10. Sturridge really should start against Stoke. Torres is not far from being benched. I'm one of his biggest defenders and fans but we simply need a striker who will score us goals and lead our attack with some conviction. A clinical striker is what we're missing.
  11. I may never forget that goal for as long as I live. It was just that incredible. Everything about it was Genius. The touch to take out 2 players at once, one of those being the master Pirlo and then rip it past one of the best keepers in the world, Buffon. It was almost like he was teaching Pirlo and Buffon a lesson. A masterclass. Such a beautiful goal.
  12. His link up play with Eden was almost something akin to what Barcelona play like. Exciting I think the rest will be so helpful and even in this game he looked sharper. Also the decision to pick Oscar over him will ignite a little fire in Juan's belly as he has good competition now.
  13. We'll get better and better hopefully but the signs so far are good. We need to be able to close out games much better though while finding the right balance.
  14. Well any player that has some level of pedigree in Europe will help our league improve. The A league is still in its infancy stages and not even 10 years old. It would be awesome to see Ballack in Australia
  15. 2 points dropped as far as I'm concerned. Allowed their midfield too much space. The team's lack of pressing (in what should be an obvious situation to press in) is mind boggling. We can't lose in the return match at Turin. Oscar was great. That second goal (especially his first touch) was the stuff of a genius and one of the most beautiful and pure goals you'll ever see. To think that was a goal from a 21 year old kid making his Champions League debut. The formation change was a good tactic by RDM. His decision to exclude Mata was questionable but paid off big time. Plus Mata got even more rest, so that's another positive. Hazard was quiet. Although the link up with Mata when he came on looked encouraging. All in all, a tad disappointing. We need to play a lot better in Turin.
  16. Some good info on the way Juve play http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/chelsea-vs-juventus-champions-league-1329906 Skip to the 'How will they play against Chelsea' part.
  17. Well I think it's a bit more defensive then say a 4-3-3 or even a 4-2-3-1. It makes us even more narrow as well and the likes of Marin and Moses will struggle to get a game in that formation.
  18. I don't think that's a great formation to be playing every week.
  19. Yes, I'd say dropping one more body into midfield would be a wise and sensible choice. Whether it be the christmas tree or (what I think would trouble Juventus more) the 4-3-3 formation.
  20. I find it a bit amusing but I shouldn't lol.
  21. Heskey and wait for it....Ballack to the A-League? Awesooooome~~
