Who on earth would he start in front of? Moses can be a very good impact/rotation player and game changer off the bench for us but I can't see much more from him.

Villa? As in David Villa? That is clearly not going to happen. Very good player. Could be perfect for us if he was about 4 years younger. His age is a put off. Kaka on loan will do very little. He isn't at his best as a pure CM (which what we need). He's past it and will come here, give us nothing more than what we already have and collect a high wage while he's at it.

So, he won't be integrated into the team right away? When I heard we were buying a RB, my initial thoughts were that RDM was going to use Azpi and Wallace as our RB's and that would tottally free up Ivanovic to play as a CB.

Yes, actually I would. People are vastly overrating Sturridge out of the desperation to find an alternative to Torres. Sturridge is not really better IMO. I'm pretty tired of Torres too but I like that his link up play is good and he allows us to at least play reasonably well in terms of creativity and movement. More so than Sturridge who I think just does not have a future here. Add in other factors like Torres' wages and Sturridge's contract situation and its clear which one needs to go first.

In: Falcao/Cavani Out: Sturridge I'm confused as to what to do for our CM situation. We are about 1 CM short however I don't think buying is wise as Josh/KDB are waiting in the wings. Perhaps bring back Essien from loan?

KDB could be so important to us in a year or two. I wouldn't be surprised to see him go on another loan, although I think its worth bringing him back in the summer. He can probably play anywhere in the midfield. So versatile and talented. I'd play him next to Ramires.

De Rossi seems unrealistic. Vidal would be incredible but also unrealistic.

I would like Moutinho/M'Vila. I think Fellaini is a very good player, however he's the type of player that would need the team to be focused on/built around him. I don't think he'd fit our current system. Furthermore I don't see any signs we're switching to a 4-3-3 either. I wouldn't complain if he came though. Most of the times, Good players find a way to adapt. Plus beggars can't be choosers. We're short on CM's (Need 1 in January) and I think Lampard's time is up.

Sturridge isn't much better...I hope we don't recall Lukaku back. He needs to continue his development. Perhaps stay on loan for another season after this one. Falcao/Cavani are MUST gets as soon as possible.

Mata is so important to us. If he plays it'll be a big boost for us. I think we can lift and win this.

This type of result is so typical of the Chelsea team last year. We should have killed the game off. Can't help but feel with a great striker and focal point we would have had a couple more goals. However I won't blame Torres too much. A point at Swansea isn't the worst. Decent resut. In this game we seemed tired and perhaps saving energy for the Shakhtar match. RDM needs to use Marin and other squad players more and rest more of our first XI players more often.

Games like this show you our squad is thin in terms of quality outside the First XI. We need to get a Very Good CM and above all Falcao in January.
