Its a real shame that Jay Rodriguez got injured. I thought he was outstanding for Southampton this season, 15 league goals in 33 games is good going for a player who does start wide. Think he would have made an impact for England as well. Think if Roy was smart he would have brought someone like Michael Carrick or Tom Huddlestone. Someone who would have the ability to keep the ball with Gerrard. England have also been very unlucky as well. Think they'll get a point against Italy but for them to beat Uruguay your needed the likes of Glen Johnson to have a superb game but I think he's a liability and will be exposed. Think they'll do well to get out of the group.

Part of me thinks Oscar can go on to be a world class number 10 at Chelsea, but another part of me thinks he's struggling to adapt to the English game. Has been poor since Mata went, and if Mata was still here he'd probably be getting game time. Possibly excelling in it. If an offer of £45-50m came in for him after he had a great world cup then it would be hard to turn down.

Expectations are the same as most years. I fully expect us to make a strong challenge for the league and Champions League, if the right players become available in the summer.

Good post. Carlo sacking is still one that makes me angry. Crazy to sack him, we did the double breaking the record for most goals in the Premiership, If it wasn't for a Jose masterclass at the Bridge, We probably would have won the Champions League. Now at Real he's doing to Di Maria what he did to Malouda. He needed to be given the money AVB got to bring in a few new players for us.

We didn't score in his first three games. That period with Rafa was the first time in my life I didn't give a fuck about us. Didn't care much for the Europa League run, and always knew we'd get top 4. Any real fan would not find anything positive about that. Jose is back now and we're challenging for all honours.
