  1. Probably my best week. Shame Costa missed those two chances
  2. Thought it was a decent performance. I would echo what some others have said though, I don't think he's been as good recently as he was say a month or so ago. He's scored more goals recently but for me his overall performances haven't been as good. Maybe he's coasting a bit due to the amount of games coming up which is understandable. (PS I'm not having a go at him for those who get a bit touchy )
  3. De Gea is a quality keeper no doubt, but recently he's been getting praised far too much for shots straight at him that should be routine.
  4. Continues to score vital goals. No matter how you look at it, the people who were so adamant about the move saying things like 'it's only a loan, he won't have any impact, will only play cup games' look like complete morons now. It was his choice but it's still really annoying and you can tell it pissed off Mourinho to.
  5. For me he was all over the place in the 2nd half, but so were most.
  6. I've never been fully convinced of Cahill, but credit where credits due he was brilliant in the 2nd half of last season. Hopefully he regains that kind of form or he'll be out of the team.
  7. Really poor performance. Glad we got the 0-0 the way it was going to. Willian was the only player trying to make something happen in the final third. Thought him, Matic, and Thibaut did well, other than that, average/poor. Cahill also looked shit scared when Altidore came on. Rushed everything, slipping all over the place.
  8. This has a 1-0 set piece and defend for their lives all over it. Hopefully we wake up, so slow going forward.
  9. I thought he had a good game in terms of getting on the scoresheet and setting up Drogba, but I've seen him play a lot better for us whilst not scoring or assisting. One thing I've noticed in the last two games is he's attempting a lot more runs beyond the defence instead of just waiting for the ball. Needs to keep that up and he'll become a lot more dangerous.
  10. One thing to note on this game is if Costa or Fabregas get booked they will miss the Spurs game
  11. I'm getting a bit worried that things are going TOO well at the moment Superb performance
  12. The difference between the two is that to put in a world class performance Bale has to influence the match in terms of goals and assists. For Eden he doesn't have to score or assist and he can still be the best player on the pitch by a mile. In terms of effectiveness they're both neck and neck for me, but there's no doubt Hazard is a lot more talented.
  13. His performance against Sunderland away was one of the best I've seen from any player. That closely followed by City away are my top two at the moment.
  14. Totally agree. Palace have adopted the same style to. Even their announcer tries to be like their German counterpart by only saying the players first name after a goal (and waiting for the crowd to shout the surname).
  15. I agree that it isn't the best, but I wouldn't go as far as saying it's like an empty stadium. There was a period in the game where the MH were singing non stop for about 15 minutes, and after the first goal the QPR fans were completely silent up until the equalizer. But I don't see how it's any different to most other PL sides at home. The only time you get a good atmosphere is if a.) it's a massive game b.) the team has been struggling a bit & the fans give extra encouragement or c.) you have an organised singing section (Palace) If you take out the 50 or so fans in the corner at Palace, it would be like every other teams atmosphere
  16. Another missed opportunity. Disappointed is an understatement.
  17. Also we need a gif of Jose's reaction to Oscar's (I think?) shot that went just wide
  18. Has been class for the past 4 or so games. Hopefully he keeps it up!
  19. Anyone notice the Palace player that has been following every Cesc movement?
  20. JT has had some nice words to say about him. Tipping him to eventually replace him in the side it seems. Hard to judge how good he is defensively while playing in the youth team/U21s, but he is an absolute natural on the ball. Here's the quotes: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/9520934/premier-league-john-terry-tips-chelsea-youngster-andreas-christensen-for-stardom
  21. I don't feel that he stole three points, that wasn't my point originally. My point was referring to the fans that played down his move to City and said that it wasn't a big deal and that he'd have little impact. It has turned out that he has had a big impact in a massive game, bad defending or not. Maybe I worded it poorly saying he 'cost us the game' - of course there are other factors as to why we conceded. But he's definitely had a big impact. 'We had a great counterattack. I'm not pleased by that goal, I'm not happy for Lamps, I'm not supporting him over Chelsea.' Yep, this was my other point. It just felt like some fans were happy that he scored against us, which I find bizarre.
  22. It was bad defending but it was also an excellent finish. Would Fernandinho be on the end of that Milner cross if he were still on? Both are to blame. As Mourinho said, Schurrle defended badly for the goal but Ramires probably wouldn't have been in Andre's position for our goal. Goes both ways. 'We didn't win three points because we NEVER deserved them' Football isn't all about who deserves what, and at 0-1 up with them down to 10 men, I'm still extremely disappointed we didn't win. I say that as someone who would've taken a draw before the game started, but in the circumstances I'm still pissed off we couldn't hang on. If we are talking about who deserves what then I'd say we probably deserved to lose the game on the balance of play. I love Frank and this doesn't change anything, but I'm still fucking pissed off that he's scored against us in a massive game that we should have won (in my eyes) in the circumstances.
  23. I agree with you, but I'm also confused at the comments like 'Pleased for Frank' - 'What a legend' for scoring against us... I think it's a big wake up call to those fans brushed off his move as no big deal. He's ended up costing us 3 points in a match that we SHOULD have won in the circumstances. I don't see how anyone can be pleased about that.
