Excellent defensive performance; he worked incredibly hard and provided a platform for the big three (Hazard/Fabregas/Costa) to make the difference.
Didn't really do anything constructive with the ball if I recall correctly, however, so doesn't really warrant a MOTM in my honest opinion. Willian and Ramires would have probably worked just as hard and perhaps offered more going forward.

So basically we have a glorified ramires playing attacking midfield for us. We need more than workrate from a player operating in an attacking position as he does. He offers absolutely nothing unique that ramires,William and even Salah can't.

It's like praising a dull and academically poor student for having a beautiful handwriting.

There's always the chance that Courtois does a WWF-style move in the 90th minute of the second leg. Score is 0-0, extra time is looming, Torres takes a shot from 12 yards which eventually reaches Courtois's hands....the players move up the field, Courtois looks long then all of a sudden drops the ball to his feet, turns towards the Matthew Harding stand and kicks the ball high into the net.
The crowd goes wild, the Atletico players are bemused and Courtois runs to the corner flag, tears off his Atletico shirt and reveals......
a Chelsea shirt!!!!
Platini runs to the pitch remonstrating with the ref when all of a sudden Bruce Buck chair-shots him to the back of the head and Ron Gourlay belly-flops him, all the while Mourinho just nodding his head and smiling.
Then Simeone puts on one of those Mexican wrestling masks and everything gets a bit weird.....
This is why he can't play against us....it's so obvious when you think about it.

Lol. So are we forgetting their defensive record? Or does that suddenly not matter? How can Jose be inconsistent and Rogers amazing when Liverpool have also lost / dropped points to lower teams. Our squad may be bigger but all 3 of our strikers dont make one of theirs. Its hardly a miracle when you have two of the best forwards in the league.
Dont understand your hate against Mourinho. We are in the best league position that we have been in the last 3 years yet you are nitpicking. Liverpool forums that way ----->

Mikel is toooooo defensive , always likely to commit a stupid foul in a dangerous place when your backs are to the wall... I told him this to his face 2 weeks ago in a central London street, he didn't reply.. He just stared.
