My fellow countryman Sami Hyypiä is now the manager of Bayer Leverkusen. He was previously an interim coach like our RDM but has now been given the job on a three year contract. Will be wishing him all the best in his managerial career wherever he goes as long as it's not Liverpool where he played for ten years.

Nah, haven't seen enough to know about his stamina. The physical aspect I consider to be irrelevant anyway because the last couple of seasons have clearly shown one doesn't have to be a physical player to succeed in the PL if they're talented enough.

Agreed. If we want to get some good money from transfer income we would have to sell some players who might actually be wanted by other clubs. Sturridge and Meireles probably the ones who would get us most money from the players I consider to be expendable. Dead wood players like Malouda won't get us much and we should be happy if someone is willing to pay anything for them and take them off our wage bill.

He would be even happier when Falcao would score a lot more hat tricks than Torres.

Those three are my preference at the moment and I'd be very happy if we got them all. A right-back is needed too as a replacement for Bosingwa and I would probably go for Lukas Piszczek if he's available from Dortmund. If Torres were to be sold too then a new striker would be needed... Lewandowski would be perfect or even Falcao but he'd be way too expensive. Sadly this is not Football Manager and we probably don't stand a chance of getting all those players but one can always dream.

As far as I know he can play as a left winger and behind the striker, where Mata has been playing for us. And then of course as a striker which seems to be his favoured role.

How is Torres overrated? Last I heard he's widely considered to be one of the biggest jokes in world football and there's hardly anyone left who still rates him.

One of my favorite non-Chelsea players of all-time despite him playing for that Manchester scum. Many top players from the time I really started following football are now moving on this year. Van Nistelrooy, Del Piero, Gattuso, Seedorf, Inzaghi, Nesta... I could go on.

Most of the players who have come to us from the Portuguese league in recent years have succeeded at Chelsea and on the other hand Torres who had been banging goals in the Premier League for many years prior to his move has done fuck all so I fail to see your point. Yep, he only played 4 times (all from the bench) for them in the whole season. And they paid €9M for him last summer.
