Who can say they actually believe Torres will become a better player now that Drogba's gone? If someone is willing to pay even 15-20 mil for him I say we take the money and use it buy some striker who can actually score goals and be our main man. Don't believe this will happen though, but that's what I would do.

From the club's point of view that would indeed be the ideal scenario and if he doesn't live up to expectations then he could just leave next summer and we wouldn't have to go through the pain of sacking the manager who won us our first Champions League trophy. Don't see any reason for Di Matteo to agree such arrangement though. He has already proved to be a capable manager for us and if that's not enough for the Chelsea board to hire him on a contract of at least two seasons then it's our loss and he can just go somewhere else. I'm sure many top clubs in Italy would love to hire the latest Champion of Europe as their manager.

Higuain is like the complete opposite of Drogba. Always scores against the lesser teams and gets a shit load of goals to his name but rarely shows up for the big games. Not saying it's a bad thing because our problem this season was that we couldn't score enough goals against the weaker sides which resulted in frustrating draws and losses but we'd need a big game striker too. If Drogba stays then Higuain would be perfect but otherwise no thanks and someone like Falcao would do better. And no,Torres is not the man for the big occasions if someone thought about suggesting him.

Well, you have to admit that it would be even more remarkable if Drogba's last kick of the ball for Chelsea was the one to make us the first team to win back to back European titles in the Champions League era. You do know the 2013 final is played at Wembley and Drogba is needed there? On a more serious note, it would be a fantastic way for him to go if he's to leave now. A proper Chelsea legend who shall be forever remembered as one of the best players in the club's history.
