Underestimate Shakhtar much? No doubt the second toughest match in the group after Juventus away and they're not to be taken lightly. Obviously some players should be rested because after this game we face United twice within a week but you're taking it way too far with that lineup. Cech Azpilicueta - Cahill - Terry - Cole Mikel - Lampard Mata - Oscar - Hazard Sturridge That would be my starting eleven. Mata and Hazard off early if the game is over and they're not needed anymore so they could rest as much as possible before United and also Moses and / or Marin could get some minutes.

I'm worried about this game and I would most likely take a draw if it was offered now in advance... Hope I'm wrong and we'lll get the full three points. :blue scalf:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/premier-league/9619147/Andre-Villas-Boas-my-run-at-Porto-tops-Chelsea-comeback-to-win-Champions-League-trophy.html What on earth is that man on? I want some of that too.

Ash fined £90k for calling the FA a bunch of twats. That means the FA consider Cole's criticism of them twice as bad as Rio Ferdinand being a racist on Twitter.

Of course but then we'd have to pay something to Bremen for breaking the contract. i dont't know the amount but there was talk about the contract details when he signed for Bremen. A recall is not likely at the moment and I think it's best he stays there for thw whole season and plays every game rather than sit on the bench at Chelsea. Hard not to get excited about the future when we already have players like Hazard, Oscar, Mata in the team and then a gem like De Bruyne out on loan.
-
It's good he wasn't called up by Spain and he can now have another two weeks rest. I'll fully expect this magnificent form to continue after the break as well.
-
No matter how good he normally is, Messi still hasn't scored a single goal against Chelsea.

A certain night in Munich comes to mind...

"Good morning to all the #geezers! Young geezers, old geezers, new geezers, ladies geezers, future geezers... I" Together with the picture BluesMaster posted. So many geezers in there it's hard to keep up.

I'm not really feeling this Dave thing. It's not that hard to pronounce his name.
-
I've been very busy lately and haven't been active enough to know who deserves the title so I'm not going to nominate anyone this time.
-
No doubt it's either Hughes or Rodgers, around December sounds about right.
-
Yeah, he seems to be doing great with Ramires instead of Lampard next to him. Some day I would like to see what a partnership of Mikel and Romeu in the double pivot would be like.
-
Cech Azpi - Cahill - Terry - Bertrand Romeu - Lampard Moses - Oscar - Mata Sturridge (if he's fit) My starting lineup. Too bad I probably won't be able to watch the game but I believe this should be a comfortable win for us. Obviously we can't underestimate any team that has made it to the group stages of the Champions League but I'm sure Di Matteo can motivate the players to fight hard to get the three points, especially after drawing against Juventus in the first round. By the way @, your avatar must be the greatest ever here at TC. You have taken Azpilicueta's creepiness to a whole new level and I never thought that was even possible.
-
Torres looked lively today. Not only did he score a goal, he also won most headers and was always fighting to win the ball back after Arsenal got it. He did miss a great chance to go 2-0 up but I've said it more than once already that if his game looks like that, he may even get away with those horror misses every once in a while. Cech MOTM for me.
-
Terry already looks scary there and I can only imagine Azpilicueta looking at JT with his usual serial rapist smile on his face. Why are our players so creepy?
-
Time to bring on Mikel. Surely he would score too?
-
I think it's more like 24 or 26 rather than 2. (edit: Like Ryan Fong stated above, it could also be 28 for Azpilicueta) If that's the real deal, it means we won't be seeing Marin, Moses or Piazon start the game.

Is this on TV anywhere?
-
I hear this Lukaku guy is doing great at West Bromwich. Maybe we should sign him up?
-
Running out of excuses now. He has all the creativity in the world behind him with Mata, Hazard and Oscar but still he contributes to nothing. Lukaku would be much better at the moment., just saying...
-
Had to play the wildcard for this round, too many injuries and underperforming players in my squad.

Not so popular. Football itself is only a minor sport here after fucking ice hockey and the minority of people that actually love football support either Liverpool, United, Barcelona or Real Madrid. Of course teams like Arsenal, Tottenham, Milan, Juve etc. have their fans too but they're nowhere near as popular as those four. From my friends and family I know a lot of people who support one of those I mentioned above but I don't know a single Chelsea fan apart from myself so I guess that answers the question. It's pretty much me against everyone else, but I don't mind.

I suppose that's not unusual because after all he has been living in London for over a year now and probably started taking more and more English lessons as soon as his transfer became official in March 2011. I would be worried if he didn't speak English after all that time.
