you do know Kezman was bought in as a 3rd choice striker behind Drogba and Gudjohnsen, he scored in a cup final, scored 4 goals in 6 PL starts and lead the line brilliantly in one of our greatest ever matches when we beat Barca 4-2, still to this day i dont know how Kezman can be considered a flop, what more do you want from a 3rd choice striker?

Unlucky because of his transfer? His knees were shot and he burnt out by 27. He was once the best striker in the world, bar no one. He demolished the Premier Leauge in its peak for three solid years. It was never a matter of confidence or lack there of, the injuries, surgeries and poor management from the Spanish and Liverpool medical teams is what contributed to his downfall. To say that Torres lacked confidence for the entire duration of his Chelsea career is a copout. He at one point, he scored a betler of a goal against the supposed 'best team in the world' in a Champions League semifinal, if that doesn't give a man confidence not much will.
Shevchenko wasn't a flop per se (he was with a *). It was a bad transfer moreso. Sheva was already 30, closer to 31 when he joined Chelsea. To expect him to replicate waht he had done in Italy probably wasn't the wisest. Sure he could have done better, but really he wasn't suited to the team nor was he in his prime.
Kezman was from a striker from the Eredivisie. Flops from that league are a dime a dozen.

He was worse than Sheva and Kezman. If those two got the unconditional chances and their name chanted every time they got dispossessed I'm certain they would have done better.
The fact that we brought back the striker he was suppose to replace at 36 years old to replace him says it all, there is just no way of sugarcoating Torres, he was a complete disaster.

The biggest waste of money, wages, effort and nerves. I hope to never see is face again.
Worst transfer in History, thank all the deities it's finally over. It was 3 years too late but better late than never.

Supporters can sit there and wither away with frustration at his choices, or relish what history he was part of and move on. The latter being superior for ones mentality, whether a fan, player or manager.

It is heinous that some fans choose to hate Frank rather than to treasure what he has brought to this football club over the last decade. He is a Chelsea legend, no matter what you say. Of course, it's distressing to know that he is scoring goals for City, let alone the fact that he joined title contenders in the first place. Look at this way though, the man is a professional. He's coming to the end of his career. He wants game time at the highest possible level before he has to hang his boots up. Even if he wins the title with City, look at what we won with Chelsea and how long he stuck with them.

In my eyes he's still a legend, no doubt. It's frustrating when he scores i'm not going to lie but a season for City is not going to erase all the great things he's achieved here and the memories we have as Chelsea fans.
I get why people are angry and upset, i do, but Term X is way ott. He's constantly recycling the same old posts like his opinion is gospel and everyone who disagrees is automatically wrong... saying people should be 'banned' for their 'weak' argument and calling someone a 'simpleton' is very condescending and downright arrogant. Pretty sad attitude to have on a forum, but you go ahead with your little online persona.

Players at the top are all professionals, and with agents pulling their financial strings, to expect them to have the same loyalties as fans is extremely naive.
Hes got previous - leaving West Ham for the Bridge, and hammers fans still hurt and vent their spleens everytime we played them. Players behave like cunts when it suits, so I am not going to condemn fans attitude one way or another. Depending on how much alcohol I have had I will sing his praises or call him a fat judas pie eating cunt. Its our prerogative as paying punters.

This thread has turned embarrassing, if City win the League it's not cause of Lamps but rather it's down to us bottling it.
Fact is I will remember Frank for what he has done at the club and mind you he has done more than any midfielder in England. If a 36 year old brings City the title - it says more things about us than it does about Frank Lampard. I understand fans are fickle and put players on pedestals for some reason but in the end I hope you guys get over it when Lamps retires.

So?
How exactly does him playing for a club which isn't even a historic rival of CFC diminish what he has done at Chelsea.
I don't want to get invested in this thread, but this is embarrassing. Just look up what CFC had won with Lamps at the club and what we had won previously. Look at his goal and assist record for CFC. Recall the role he played in us winning the CL.
Our board felt he shouldn't be making that much money at his age and he left - now he has a sub role at Shitty. If they win it won't be because of Lamps it would be because we imploded.

Why would I bother reading a thread where people are insulting a club legend for scoring a few goals at Shitty.
Like I've said fans are fickle, they expect players to love clubs as much as we do - but they don't realize a footballer might love competing at the highest level a lot more than a club. A Legend like Lampard would of course prefer to play his final years in a Top League and not some Mickey Mouse League it's part of the reason he is a EPL Legend.
I myself am delighted Lampard played for CFC for 13 years and achieved his greatest triumphs while at our Club.

The same Gerrard who was minutes from joining us but decided against it only because he and his family were being sent death threats from Liverpool's 'class' supporters?

We've waited many years for a World Class striker to lead our side, suddenly when we have one - we are favorites for the title and no one is questioning the system.
Long may it continue, just brilliant what a striker constantly scoring goals can do for a side.
