I'd love to start hearing more talks of Martial coming here, but that seems to have died down completely since the WC started. Nothing mentioned in a while.

KDB had one good half the whole WC. Hazard was the one carrying them the entire tournament. So much for that logic.

He has been unreal at the WC. Shows what he can do on a talented, offensive minded team.

Martial would be fantastic here. I'd play him up front or on the wing. Honestly good in either spot. Low centre of gravity, but also very strong, so is ideal for striker role. Blistering pace, and would be suited to playing by himself or even with a partner IMO. CHO would still have room since Martial, and even CHO are quite versatile in where they can play IMO.

Great keeper. Super consistent and an absolute wall in goal. For all the talk about him not being able to stop shots, he was still second in save percentage this season only to DDG. Tells you the level at which he is held to and judged at. If he goes, Butland or Allison will be good replacements I think.

I'm sure I remember him being deployed as a false nine at Barca on numerous occasions. He was a regular before his 25th birthday too He was still a back up when we got him. Why is it any different? In fact, he got worse as he got older and lost his speed.

Cesc was a back up too.

Cavani had a far worse season with misses and people on here are still fawning over him. They go away because missing a one on one with the keeper that consistently is more of a confidence issue than a skill one. If a player isn't skilled enough to do that, he wouldn't have made it this far as a striker. Particularly one that has played for the biggest team in Italy, and the biggest in Spain.

Courtois looks good. Only player I've seen play today.

At least Kennedy is playing at a big team now. Good for him. Left the mob who plays hoofball and defends with 10 men behind the ball.

Giroud is a far better player than Morata already according to a lot on here. So we don't need anyone. We've only had Giroud for a little bit of the season, so we are undoubtably set for great things with how we've turned things around with him. Should produce some exciting football too.

I took the time to watch some of his highlights from several games this season, and he is flat out amazing at getting off the mark from a stand still position. I actually don't think I've seen anyone quicker ever. His end product seems to be a fair bit better compared to last season, but obviously he is playing in the lower league. I really do think he would be a player that benefits playing on a better team though. He still has some poor tendencies in his game where he doesn't use his teammates and tries to overdribble, but a lot of that will be alleviated playing with better players that he trusts more. Once upon a time, Raheem Sterling and Sane were overdribbling, had poor end product, selfish, etc. I think it would be a shame to miss out on a talented and dynamic player such as Traore.

I'll keep laughing at this thread and the conversation as of recent, because there really is a "ignorance is bliss" type feel to it. Funny how Cavani is being mentioned as one of the targets. Especially since people complained about Morata's finishing. There are montages spanning 2 minutes long from individual games of Cavani just butchering chances. He would certainly put minds at ease here... lol Who do people propose we go for? Lukaku? He has played in the league for how many years now, and his season has been no better than Morata's. Who else? Benzema? lol... Furthermore, I love the fact the other components, such as our midfield going to crap, is completely being ignored in all this. People are acting as if everything has been held constant. We've played some uninspired football even in our best of matches this season. 75% of this board was hoping for Morata, and funnily enough I was in the Lukaku camp, yet now, no one wants to give him the time of day. First freaking season in the league, dealing with constant injuries, and being unsettled. Get rid of the 25 year old prospect now, right. At his worst. Great for retrieving value, and great for the club in case he does get better. That would be the perfect move. Losing out in more ways than one, as usual. If you can't see how talented Morata is, there is no hope for you. Allow the tall, pacey striker with good dribbling to leave. Just because he is low on confidence (much like the rest of the team, which gets somewhat ignored).

Whatever. As was posted earlier here, the chart showing he scored some important goals for us and won us a lot of points. A goal every 3 games in his first season dealing with injuries and a few appearances where he received only 5-10 minute spells. Scoring at a rate similar to Lukaku in his first season. Keep swapping players in and out, get no consistency, don't give any players a chance to improve. Whatever. You guys are probably the same ones that complain about lack of consistent attacking play, yet won't give the players time to build with each other and learn to play off one another.
