Start him at striker.

He looked very shaky in a lot of games at the WC. Scored that great goal, but aside from that... no thanks. Just my opinion.

He most definitely is. Same level as Pogba. In fact, I think he is far more assertive on the game. People can judge him off the WC, but it is tough to play on a pretty lousy Serbia side.

I just want the season to start at this point. We've been incredibly disappointing in transfer windows lately. Don't know why I bother getting excited. Won't change until new ownership comes in. To be out of the top 4, claim to be a side that wants to fight for the title, and make 1 signing is pitiful. Any which way you cut it, it is dreadful. City made their intentions clear when they got a new manager. So did United. This is what we can come up with.

It is rather disappointing. I say this mainly due to our season and the fact many players have had their time here, or simply don't belong at this level to begin with. You can't be a title winning aspiration side, and only make one move the whole off season. Look, fair enough CHO is maybe getting more time this year, and maybe putting faith in Baka will make it seem like a new player, but it just doesn't cut it. Our strikers were terrible last season. Our right wing has been a problem consistently for the last 3 seasons I feel. Our full backs are either slow or incompetent getting the ball in and helping on offence. Sure... Sarri may come in and do better with the squad than expected. But that isn't what we want. Why get a great offensive coach and not surround him with decent pieces? We saw that story in Napoli. Great coach leading a somewhat above average team to great results. Give him a great team now at a side that can give it to him. It is fucking infuriating. Sell the club if you won't spend.

Am I the only one that is severely underwhelmed every single time I watch him? Nothing about him screams amazing.

I could be in the minority, but I really think Willian's most effective days are behind him. I think there are better wingers out there for far less money. I realise the club is very slow and picky it seems, and generally ends up going for a choice I wouldn't, but, it is what it is. I mean, how much better is Willian than someone like Shaqiri? For me they fall into the same bracket of player, but are miles apart in price. Good for us, because we are selling one guy, but my point is, similar player, but I think it is very easy for us to make a move up, or at least sideways for less money than we are asking for Willian, and then upgrade elsewhere. I've always preferred someone more direct on that right wing because we have Eden who can stop, turn, hold, etc. Don't need Willian doing the same thing on the other wing while swapping all that with step-overs.

I've never understood why people haven't been keen for him moving here. Particularly if you've actually watched him and seen the progress. Powerful dribbler, tricky, pace, strength, and has an eye for goal. Not to mention, very direct these days, and moves with purpose. He'd probably be one of the few, if not only powerful dribbler in the team. Can't really think of anyone aside from Baka at the start of the season, and that didn't last long. He actually possesses a lot of the same qualities Martial does, and a lot of people are very keen on him. Still only 25 years old too. 9 goals and 3 assists in 28 starts. Think that is a very good output for a winger. Plus, he can play up front, which is always an added bonus.

Looks extremely impressive as always. Hopefully he keeps impressing, gets a little bit stronger, and starts taking some shots, and we won't need to keep talking about getting Martial. Them two are almost identical in the way they play even if CHO has a little catching up to do in skill and physicality. If he keeps getting time in the games, he should get better and better.

No thanks. He completely takes over the game, at the hinderance of the team. Everything is slowed down and almost entirely played through him. I think it limits and stagnates ball movement, while the players only start looking for particular runs. He was good during his time, but he is way past it. He isn't an athlete, and all his skills have been greatly diminished with it as soon as any athleticism he had left him. He just isn't in the class of someone like Pirlo who could still do it late into his career. Cesc funnels us, more so than control the game for us at this point in his career.

Yeah... Kante has been better than Cesc moving the ball around and going forward the last year. So... Don't buy this at all.

Morata scored more goals than Drogba did in his first season with us. Not to mention he was injured, down on confidence and struggling with fitness the whole season because of setbacks. One season doesn't prove anything. Just like how Salah isn't suddenly the best player alive, nor is he close. Martial hasn't even had any setbacks or stumbles really. He just hasn't even been given an opportunity.

I honestly feel he would be deadly up front for us given the kind of direction we want to head in. Lethal finisher, and absolutely lethal dribbler. I haven't seen much of his passing game to be honest, but a player this skilled, I don't think it'd be hard for him to get a groove in the 1-2 touch system. Not just that, he is as strong as an ox. 6 foot tall, agile, and an athlete. Wouldn't be surprised if he developed a decent header given his physical gifts if he played up front. Really feel this would be a big opportunity missed. He has got all the tools Mbappe has.

I'm so sick of the chopping and changing with everything at our club. No one ever gets a fair run here, and then things like Salah, KDB and Lukaku happen. At this point, whatever, sell him. Going by the fans on here, he clearly sucks. Just don't see how you give up on a guy who was constantly in great positions, but failed to convert easy chances due to confidence. It wasn't anything like Torres, who did nothing all game. Change him. Then we can blame the next striker.

I meant it in the sense of the difference in skill/output makes the least amount of difference on the field. If we get a keeper that is 90% as good as Tibo, then we will be fine. But I think if you get a midfielder that is 10% worse than Kante, 10% worse than Jorginho, etc... It makes a far bigger difference. Keepers will let in shots at the end of the day. Doing the work beforehand to prevent a lot of shots coming towards the goal, and minimising the amount of good shots the opposition gets is far more important. Chelsea will always have a top keeper between the sticks. They might not all be as good as Tibo, but I certainly don't think there would be a huge drop off if we had Donnarumma in there instead for example.

He is a great goalkeeper, but at the end of the day, it is the least important position on the pitch. There are plenty of keepers who are 90% of Tibo and Alisson, who you wouldn't notice a difference with, particularly if they are in form, and end up being at their level. I just don't think this is a position where we should spend more than we did for someone like Jorginho in midfield. It all seems a bit ridiculous.

I'd love to start hearing more talks of Martial coming here, but that seems to have died down completely since the WC started. Nothing mentioned in a while.

On the far end of Australia... I'm thinking about it. Just wish it was on the east coast. Perth is all by itself. Cheaper to go overseas some places than to fly there.
