Zubimendi looks slow and weak. I'd prefer sticking to more robust and dynamic players with skill.
-
Kepa is a better shot stopper and makes less errors.
-
People can't actually say Kepa is bad and then want De Gea... Kepa is a better keeper than De Gea.

When did Santos become this superstar? So weird to see so many clubs and admirers of him. I've seen clips and plays - and tbh hasn't wowed me - but apparently has wowed the football world. Maybe we have a gem?

To be fair to management/ownership - this is how you run a club. Get rid of the bad influences - and build a culture where those who want to be here are here and those who work hard are rewarded. I truly see that as the goal/direction the club is trying to go. Get the bad eggs out and revamp the way success is measured. I really see the club trying to build a more sustainable success model in the same vein as Barca and Man City.

I'd take that.
-
I'd take him.

It’s been 15 games…. Lol

I'd really like to see James in the midfield too. He is a monster that can't get bullied, and is clean on the ball. Not sure if those 3 together work though.
-
We need some pace and strength in midfield as well. Veiga at least gives us that. Enzo and Wirtz is too lightweight and slow, even with Caceido there.
-
We came 12th this last season with those players. Just saying.
-
Cherki seems like a beast - but just a little on the slow side. Probably more suited for a central role than wide. Gives Hazard vibes with his in close dribbling though. Veiga probably more versatile by that measure? How much is the asking price for both of these?

Doing this big overhaul is perfect. Rip the band aid off and focus on getting better. The signings and targets have all been great quality and starting off right with a proper plan will have us on the road to longer and more sustainable success. This method will actually allow us to slot players in down the road that just fit. Instead of feeling like we need so many changes all the time.

We're behind and need another 200 million in sales otherwise we go bankrupt from the sanctions. Pulisic and Lukaku are our last hope.
-
We should have put in the no taksie backsie clause.
-
Why is Muani the "proven" striker we are after when Jackson has technically been as good as Muani has in terms of time? When did this hype for Muani start?
-
James/Gusto Colwill/Thiago/Fofana/Badiashille Enzo/Caceido Nkunku Those are some best in their position type players at their position. We aren't exactly short on talent. Just need to sure up the squad.
-
Eh. Won some titles at Barca, and has only achieved success at Man City off the back of all time cheating and bolstering the squad with unlimited funds to a point no team has had available. He has narrative on his side, and this aura built up - but in reality, he isn't that much better, if better at all than a lot of the top managers. Couldn't do jack at Bayern, and only achieved here what he did because he was given a longer leash than all the other Man City managers.

I know a lot here just want to go back to winning and being a powerhouse - but in all honesty, I just want to feel excited about our team again. We are heading in the right direction. Getting rid of the deadwood, and giving young players a go at building on something. We had that a few seasons ago during Lampard's first stint where he actually gave players a go, and even after he left, it was exciting seeing the guys grow into their skills and role. We've got a nice collection of players. I'm honestly excited to see Jackson and Nkunku up front. Want to see Mudryk under Poch and with time to get accustomed. Maduake with a great tactical coach like Poch who has done wonders with wingers and front men. I think we have a great collection of talented and young defenders. Enzo is already a gem, and excited to see what happens with Poch and any other midfielders we bring in. Also - really keen on seeing Reece James and his evolution. Last thing - it seems to have gone under the radar - but Gusto could be a revelation and was a brilliant signing. I feel like he is one that will be able to play RB or RW too. Extremely talented. Exciting, exciting squad, and we still have more to come.

I might get blasted for this - but - I don't think he is as good as advertised...
-
Wait? Mount is done? gone?
-
This Arda Guler wonderkid looks amazing. Wonder if our team is looking at him.
-
Because he is good and performing for a reasonably big team at a young age?
-
I actually disagree. He isn't raw like some people are saying. He is already elite athletically, and he has a great eye for a pass, good touch, and great take on ability. The thing for him to be successful is the coach putting him in positions to succeed and him being switched on enough on the field to get to those positions.
-
People are really off Mudryk in a season no one played well, we had no offensive plan, and even established players in the team weren't netting anything. TBH - his 35 minutes of play in that Liverpool game was the best attacking play we saw from anyone all season in terms of creating and danger moments. He is 22 and moved from a new country while essentially not being at full fitness. Not just saying that because he is ours, but I'd take Mudryk over Havertz and Mount any day going forward.
