Barcola probably the best description. He works hard defensively too.
-
Exactly this. He is a great, great number 9. He presses, runs, and wins back balls he shouldn't which leads to chances. He really should have had 2 assists tonight with the ball to Chilly and the other to Sterling but they squandered near 100% surefire goals. Obviously the WHU game was disappointing, but he had a few other great setups for teammates then as well. Nkunku and Sterling will have a great time playing off him. He really draws in defenders. Glad he scored today as well. Deserved it.

4 at the back, and not having Conor play so far forward would open the game up. Obviously we have a few injuries at the moment and makes it difficult. Mudryk in place of Conor that far forward would have faired better, Caceido getting to full fitness as well. I think Lavia will add a layer of robustness and dynamism to the team too. NJ is super impressive to me. Like any striker at times when you are alone you will fumble the ball here and there, but he links up so well, presses the defenders, and makes chances out of nothing for other guys. He really should have had 1 or 2 assists tonight as well if the boys were finishing. Happy with him as our main man, but having someone behind him who can push him would benefit as well.

I think he has a future here - he played well - but not that high up, but I guess we are injury riddled to hell at the moment so no other option.
-
TBF, we were playing with 5 atb against a low block. Once the game opened up we scored. Playing with 4atb and someone more creative than Conor so far up would have had us in better steed earlier on in the game maybe. I actually think Conor played well today, but just needs someone more creative up high because he doesn't have that in his locker.

Caceido looks slightly behind fitness wise - but I will be honest and say he has surprised me from his ball skills. Very nice passer. I knew he was composed on the ball - but he really whips it around the field nicely.

"I've been watching football since before you were born" I'll let you figure out who made that argument in this thread. Look through your post history as a hint!

Jackson sucks guys. He can't roll those in. They have to be top corner for emphasis. That is 2.5-0. Not 3-0.
-
I get that he made one or two mistakes today - but he looks solid. To be fair to him, he was put in a bad situation when he lost the ball.
-
Enzo is smart. That is a perfect Man City foul there.
-
Crying all game isn't an opinion.
-
Jackson has been our best player this second half. Like how you left that out lol. Goes against your BS earlier though.
-
Most of you have been too busy crying today to maybe have noticed - but every time Caceido has started an attack for us, it has generally resulted in something nice up the other end.
-
Nah mate, he is terrible I've heard. Should have banged in 6 by now.
-
Wild to me how anyone is criticising Jackson considering the runs he is making and how many balls he wins back in the opposition third. There hasn't been great service today and he is still making it work.
-
I think Conor has played quite well - but just for where he is playing we need more creativity which would open up the game a bit more for us.
-
Needs to be top corner every time even if he is slapping it in with his hand.
-
We're really nitpicking now aren't we...

You're not from Orange County in the USA by chance are you rob?
-
Think I'm done reading this forum for a while. People on here have the resilience of a spoilt rich kid from Orange County who couldn't get their pumpkin spice latte and have acted like their days ruined.
-
We just need to string 3 wins together so people can shut the fck up. Its just annoying at this point.
-
Wonder what this is about?
-
Yeah, I feel there are a lot more variables to it than that such as who else was on the pitch and opponents played, etc. Even from just an eye test - it has appeared that way to me recently.
-
I think football these days starts from the very back, and being able to get the ball up and down the pitch quickly is key. I'll probably get some hate for this, but I think Silva shouldn't be playing as much as he does. He is solid in the back, but I do feel he often slows our play down and keeps the tempo on the lower end of things. It was somewhat like Zlatan at Man United. He was scoring and still a great player, but I don't think he fits with what we are trying to do.

I'm not entertaining it, nor are others from what I see. Overreacting to 2 games in the season is what I'm talking about. Our team is pretty deeply injured at the moment, and our new signings haven't even all played. Let us play a game with 4 at the back and have our new signings on the pitch at least.
