  1. Exactly. I know it's ridiculous to say this, but we're still on a 90pt pace. Lmao Chelsea have evened the board. The way I see it, If Chelsea win against Everton, and the board don't sign any donkeys the season can officially begin for Chelsea after the international break.
  2. Hold up, we had 2 shots on target to Tottenham's 18, and we STILL had higher xG than them?!?! This just gets better and better
  3. We go again. Our season can begin from this point forward.
  4. Imagine wanting Alex Sandro? I never doubted you Alson, never.
  5. I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYBODY SAYS, WE WERE PLAYING FOR OUR SEASON, AND IT HAS BEEN SAVED.
  6. I HAVENT CELEBRATED A GOAL THAG HARD SINCE MAY. I WENT MENTAL FOR A SOLID 3 MINUTES.
  7. The key to this game will be very simple, yet I imagine very difficult to stop. Stop Eriksen from getting free crosses. Last year alone he was responsible for 4 assists vs Chelsea via crosses. 2 at White Heart Lane & 2 at the FA Cup Semis. Crosses/Set pieces are the main method we conceede goals. Kante in the middle virtually guarantees opponents don't get free runs at our CBs, but attack the space between our CBs and WingBacks, and you'll have a fun day getting off all the crosses possible. Luiz/Christensen/Rudiger need to be monsterous in the air tomorrow.
  8. Because of the state I am as a CFC fan, I'm just going to take this as #FakeNews to keep my sanity. Daniel Riolo just said this on TV.
  9. I actually agree with this. The lack of signings shouldn't have effected yesterday's match. But you cannot deny the lack of signings moving forward has made next weeks match much more harder than it needed to be. But by bringing on another CB, Conte just gifted Burnley a 2v1 numerical superiority on the wings. It was that decision right there, along with the lost tempers from many players that truly lost us the match. It was no surprise that after he brought Morata on, and shifted to a back 4, that we began to impose ourselves much more. Just look at what City did when they fell to 10 men vs Burnley last season. Kept it as a 4-1-3-1, but their back 4 was much more fluid. It was a back 3 during buildup, but then reverted back to its normal shape once possesion was established. We only did this once Morata was brought on.
  10. Fam, your preaching to the choir. Our opening 7 matches were the hardest of the top 6. Chelsea knew this. Hazard was going to be out for months, chelsea knew this. Bakayoko was signed while being injured. Chelsea knew this. Our squad was dangerously thin, and needed massive surgery. Yet here we are. They obviously couldn't have forseen the red cards coming, but where is the depth? There are no excuses why a club off the back of a title should be scrambling this late in the window to sign 4 players, jeopordizing early season results. None.
  11. Think this is a HomeGrown thing tbh. Thought on Sergio Roberto? United and Chelsea are in for him, but apparently he wants assurances he'll mostly be played in CM.
  12. More on that point, i think yesterday just highlighted even more why Alonso needs a massive upgrade. His lack of athleticism in closing down crosses will be the death of us in defense imo. We already saw these issues last year with the likes of Ibrahimovic/Kane/Lukaku targeting Azpi for their crosses. And If you remember last year, Eriksen alone provided 4 crosses that led to goals against us! 2 at White heart Lane and 2 in the FA Cup Semi's. Rudiger/Luiz/Christensen need to prove throughout the season that their good enough in the air, because yesterday was a nightmare, just look at Burnley's 2nd goal.
  13. Umm Conte just stated in an interview he wanted to keep Matic and slowly integrate Bakayoko from injury. So this is clearly a Marina/Emenalo motive.
  14. Please tell me that's a joke.. i thought it was Early September?!
