Captain. Leader. Legend. Combined brilliantly with Arsenal's midfield. His clearances were a thing of beauty.

Ivanovic truly is the bane of my existance.

So we not gonna show some love to Moses? I mean, Is this what wingers are supposed to do? I thought wingers stood still for 5 seconds, then knocked the ball into space and delivered low crosses that hit the first man over and over and over and over agin? I could be wrong though.

Crazy thing is, I believe this to be true. Carlo Ancelotti described exactly the same reactions in his new Autobiography. (Roman and the Board summoning meetings after every loss, ( even some wins) that happened early in the season.) But unlike during Carlo's reign (where the pressure came in his second season) this seems to be happening months into the Conte reign. The Board and Roman really don't want to believe and accept the cold hard truth, that Ivan/Cahill/JT/Willian/Matic/Oscar are not good enough to win the league again, and should be nowhere near the starting XI. Some poster on here said it best, "if only Chelsea were as ruthless with underperforming players, as they are with their managers."

Yeah, he pretty much pulled a Mourinho 2010 with Inter. But you know what, I don't really "blame" Fergie for leaving Man United in the state that he did. He had won all there was to win, and had been a legendary servant to the club. He even kept Man United competitive with the likes of City who were shelling hundreds of millions to win the PL Title, all while allowing the Glazers to drain the club of valuable funds so they could pay back the debt they saddled onto Man. United so they could buy the club in the first place. I think Fergie quickly realized he didn't have the energy or generally couldn't be arsed with, creating another new spine for the club. The window on that aging squad with the likes of Vidic/Berbatov/Giggs/Scholes/Ferdinand was closed by the end of that title-winning season.

*bump* Forrrrzzzzaaaaa INTER!!!! Mauro Icardi Da Gawd! So happy that Peter Ausilio, Morratti, and the Sunning Group were able to thwart Napoli's mega-money 60M Euro bid for him. He truly is the heart of this Inter squad. It's hard for me to draw big conclusions from this Derby D'Italia, because Juventus were just awful in every phase. Asamoah/Dybala/Pjanic kept giving the ball away in dangerous areas in midfield, players were misplacing simple passes time and time again, and Allegri got it all wrong leaving both Pjacca AND Cuadrado on the bench. He showed too much respect to Inter, which FDR gladly capitalized on. On the flip side, I can argue that if Frank De Boer hadn't set his team up to be that positive offensively, Inter wouldn't have been in a position to capitalize on all those Juventus mistakes, because we all know Mancini would have started both Medel AND Kongdogbia, and told Eder/Candreva to never pass the halfway line lol. I absolutely love the addition of Ever Banega, cannot believe he came on a free transfer. Inter Milan are also averaging the highest possession in Seria A at 64%. What a change from Mancini. @CHOULO19 Curious to hear your thoughts on yesterday's match.

Wow... I had forgot JM wanted him. What a nightmare. Also, here's a great anecdote on the Rooney and United relationship.

In the Euros, I thought Griezmann performed very well in that #10 role, especially vs Germany in the Semi's. However, It's true that he hasn't played there for an extended period of time. Thought he looked lethal in that SS/CAM role. If he came to the PL, I think that would be the role that'd best suit him.

*Sighs* the truth hurts.

We invited pressure in the first half, misplaced many passes, and struggled to clear out our lines on multiple occasions, and we were punished. It's only Conte's first loss and his forst major tactic screw up, it happens. It's clear Conte wants us to play through the wings, but when our wing play is bad (like it was today), we're done for. The lack of penetration through the middle has to be addressed sooner or later.

This pass map shows it all. Costa with literally no support at all, was on an island the entire match. Shocking team setup by Conte.
