For me either wb has to be the 1st priority last summer. I disagree in term of first team improvements. We basically replace Costa with Morata and Matic with bakayoko. For all the crap that people say about Costa, he is a fantastic player that complement our team very well. He bring physicallity we don't have up top. Morata is still new and you can tell physically he is not ready. In midfield bakayoko is maybe more suited to this formation but clearly he need time to adapt. We should be better off longterm. because both are younger but short term I think we kinda have a drop off.

For me wing back was the 1st priority where I thought we desperately need improvement which is why I was unhappy with our transfer. I don't think as 11st eleven we improve at all probably slightly worsen,but as a squad we definitely get better.

I haven't watched any of the Belgium game to judge. But for the most part international tournament has been about play ultra defensive or ultra possession football, and hopefully you can score goals. So how is their defending ?

The thing is this is not the 1st time, I'll give Conte a pass if this is 1st or 2nd but It is 3 consecutive game against Arsenal. So it is all come down to Conte. Nothing change since fa cup final, Wenger play the same card, pacy forward so we cannot push higher up, mimic our formation, tons of one on one battle everywhere but nothing change untill Bakayoko came on for the 2nd half.

So far nothing really suprising at the top, maybe spurs struggle at home because of wembley. I expect the two manchester club to be the two best teams this season, they had two best squad last season and spend the most net spend this season. Arsenal is still the same as always. Nah I don't think he has played well personally other than Burnley game. Yes he has scored and assisted 4 goals but he has never won physical battle and he keep losing the ball whenever he is pushed and kicked fpfrom behind which is typical in epl

Nah if you want to play to strength of morata then we should change the system. In this system, his first job is to be able to win the battle against opp cb and do layoff. He still struggle big time with the physicality of epl

The way Arsenal setup is to mimic our team. Similar to the way spurs and City did it last season. (Even though we won against City but we should have lost that game) After that it comes down to individual battle.

After spurs game I have been saying the same thing, he is not "ready" for EPL. His aerial prowess is fantastic but the guy need to get stronger. He hasn't won any physical battle. This league reward physicality.

This I dont't understand. Cleary he is not suited to play 3 at the back, and now it looks like we have rudiger who is more comfortable there yet he is still starting. I understand that he is one of our key player last season and he is big part of our title winning team but it is new season it should be clean slate but it has never been the case. Like I said since the beginning, other than his goal and his assist his performance so far has been very poor. His game is so much cleaner then Costa but he need to go to the gym. This league reward phyiscal play. Get stronger, win physical battle and then you start falling. His performance today was poor but not that much difference to previous game.

If hazard is not ready then it is fine. But why Cahill and fabregas, it make 0 sense. I did not blame Conte when we lose Fa cup final or community shield but today this lineup make 0 sense.

Tbf they are much better this season especially on fb positions and they are no longer have gk drama which is a problem for any team. On squad quality alone imo the two Manchester clubs are the best team. But it was also true last season.
