That injury against Man U has me worried. I saw in the news from Jan 30th that he sustained an ankle injury in training. I've dislocated an fractured my ankle doing what he did against Man U. I hope we can manage that properly.

Here's what I like about our lineup. We have 4 of our CM on the pitch so whichever we need in there if we need a change towards the end we can keep there and then we can feel out if we'd rather have Moses or Oscar on the pitch. I want to believe that this is actually quite clever. And again we have lampard to come through big. I hope he scores the winner so everyone who keeps saying "he just scores" can shut their faces

El Mago strikes again. Here's a question: since mata had joined the team, I'm curious how many non pk goals he has assisted lampard?!

I just started watching this too!! Harious! I watched the one in India and Karl and Ricky were discussing how their show was damaging the integrity of the channel they were broadcasting through (science channel) LOL!

Guys... But what about Brentford?

Malouda Claims Relegation to U-21 Facility Underhanded
Mceachran replied to James's topic in Chelsea Articles
If he's not scoring 15 goals a game in the u-21 games then I don't wanna hear about conspiracy. -
I hope Josh doesn't read these message boards, I don't think that would help his coming-out-of-his-shell much.

Well since it posted twice I'm blaming the mobile app on all of this.

Thanks for merging. I did try the search tool, maybe because I was on my phone it didn't show me somehow? Maybe I was just being dumb and tired haha. And I KNOW who Ronaldo is; seen him play live. But I just thought it was obvious I meant Cristiano since this was in the TRANSFER TALK. Apologies.

I feel like I've never even heard of us trying to get CR7. Thoughts? I just day dreamed a little about it and boy would that be convenient to have him haha

I think someone said this before, but I can't stand Cahill (and Brana) watching the forward run between them and receive a well timed pass on to Cech. It drives me nuts when things like that (correctable/coachable) happen at this level!! And just for the record, many times that Cahill is "putting his body on the line" he could've easily just been marking that man.

Last I heard they actually live in the same building/tower. So it's a bit more than just being Spanish lol.

Forgetting our meaningful guesses of what the lineup would be: what tactics do you wish we would employ against brentford?

Can you imagine if he actually had a striker to play with?! I am excited for that day, the true unveiling of El Mago's raw power.

Some of the comments on here are pure blasphemy.

No question he's no good lately. But I just can't help but blame the coaches for some of the mental mistakes. I counted FOUR TIMES that if he had made his run straight to the net, Hazard and co. had played a ball through everyone that just needed a striker's boot to finish it off with. I'm not saying he would have finished it, and had he made those runs and STILL missed all 4 opportunities then I wouldn't be posting this. But I've seen this from him now for a while and blows my mind when i can see something clear cut and obviously the coaches aren't bitch slapping him and saying "look, you make these runs or we don't ever play you again". Also, I do see that he wins quite a number of headers, and almost NEVER gets the support needed to have us get on the other end of that header, that must be frustrating. I just think with proper coaching he could be quite good again, not great, but good. And mark my words: don't be surprised when we SELL HIM THAT HE TURNS OUT TO BE A SOLID STRIKER AT ANOTHER CLUB.

I'm no longer a fan of Marin (I was very excited when we first came on board), but I thought early on he looked bright. I also noticed that he was being overlooked on passes many times; almost a mistrust thing happening. And it just seems strange to me how he can get by a few defenders make a few tackles, have torres RUN INTO HIM, get subbed off, and we call that abysmal when the only other lively player was oscar. Anyway, I was really happy to see oscar's performance, he loves these European competitions!

Is the creation of a CFC Fan Trust needed
Mceachran replied to robdog's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
OK, so I have no issue with a Supporter's Club or a Voice of the Supporters. But earlier there was mention of EQUAL membership and voice from ALL members across the WORLD. As a loyal Chelsea fan, from the U.S., I don't think it's right that my vote counts just as much as the guy who shows up to every game because he's saved his entire life for season tickets and would punch anyone out over insulting his club. In other words, if membership and voting is TOTALLY OPEN, and there is a possible POWER to be had from voting, then it would frighten me to think that perhaps (for an extreme example) the entire League's other fans could easily sabotage this CLUB's INTENT. I'm interested to know what you all think of this concern. -
In the post-Wigan interview, Lampard said the same thing I did about his goal: we don't understand how the hell Mata even knew he was there. I've watched the replay numerous times and not once does he turn his head in Frank's direction and Frank made a very late run. Lampard said that he (Lampard) shouldn't have been surprised though because Mata is a f***ing wizard (OK not literally, but that was the essence).

I don't think the claims of "we ruined him" are necessarily way off. Does anyone else remember Benitez making a comment about how they were going to basically make Torres hit the gym and get a yard or two of pace? When I heard that I was flabbergasted. WTF we don't always do that? With all of our players?! Especially the ones who rely on their pace?! Makes me wonder if anyone is working on Luiz's positioning or Mikel's passing, etc. blows my mind.... I guess they just Assume these players are too good to work on fundamentals? They're just human afterAll.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I suppose. But could you imagine what it would be like to have a player int he CENTER of the park who could dictate the tempo and start attacks. I just think if we were brave and played players like him in a few more first team games next season the doubters could really see where his talents lie. And who ever made themselves a star from just being a passer? Are you f***ing kidding me!? Finally, I think Wilshere is class and I wish we had him or an older Josh in the middle of our park. And please don't think I'm some hardcore Mceachran fan who is blind to any criticism, there is plenty to be had for him and his not hitting full capabilities; I just used him as a login to show a little love

I was all for phasing out the old guard and the new manager coming in to instill a new generation of football and passion, but that guy wasn't supported and maybe he didn't properly do the phasin out. So the worst part, for me, is that when we are in a tough spot, the only leaders we left (beside the rising mata) are the exact players being disrespected by the club. Rafa couldn't hurt the club so badly if the players on the pitch had a true leader. I don't blame frank for not putting the team on his shoulders or JT for not coaching from the sidelines. We could have really used the old guard with a shitty manager...
