A world class player (top player,etc..) is a player who has proved his worth in the CL or the World Cup (more in the CL because NT level is arguably low these years), not just in the league. For example, RvP isn't a world class because he keep bottling it in the big occasion, he lets his teams down in the CL (v Barcelona with Arsenal, v Real Madrid with MU), Kompany also isn't world class (bad against Barcelona, Real Madrid, Napoli, Bayern Munich,...).

A midfield 3 with Fletcher - Mata - ADM, One is a box-to-box player, one is a number ten and one is winger. LvG is making a mistake there.

We have definitely not the same opinion about him, of course he's no Benzema who does it all the time but he likes to do it. Remember pretty well some games against Real Madrid where he did it, actually in the Copa Del Rey finale, he set up the goal of Costa by dropping deep. He's a complete striker like Kun imo.

A front two of Aguero-Falcao looks good on paper but I hardly see them shining together. A little bit like RvP-Rooney, they have the same movements, they both like to drop deep, etc... One of them would be restricted in his movements. Falcao - Aguero Nasri - Yaya - Fernando/Dinho - Silva They would crush the little sides but against the big teams, they would suffer, Falcao/Aguero/Silva aren't known to be pressing machine and Yaya tends to forget to replace himself.
