  1. Mourinho's plan to psychologically destroy the opposition failed... he always looked and still looks to frustrate stronger opponents Jose is like Benjamin Button
  2. I'd like to think he was being secretly sarcastic towards Term X... at least with that thought I got to laugh at that, and whenever I think of "Kalou FC" I also start to automatically grin like a retard
  3. Danny is a winger now and rightly so... the only decent player to put on the right
  4. The guy is like 3 metres tall and weighs 269 kilos... yes, I can see him being our quick and tricky winger Some people have suggested Drogba on the wing too, I can imagine now Drogba - Torres - Lukaku, that will have Europe shaking
  5. Oh no, not that song again... that one is much better:
  6. damn it.. he's 2 years younger than me, can't believe it
  7. I think he said "the other one will be on bench"
  8. How was he injured, what kind of injury is it? I missed that part of the press conference. Fucking over-enthusiastic training sessions. All hell would break loose if one of the kaloudas was the culprit.
  9. I like how AVB tells only the right things to the press, they won't have him by the balls like they had Mourinho (or was it vice versa, I could never understand)
  10. Cech out for 3-4 weeks? Did I hear right? FUCK
  11. haha, once you go to a place where smart people are, you get chelsea fans and no manu scum
  12. so it's a he then... interesting
  13. Same here, except everybody else I knew supported only Manu... they didn't even know anything about football or what was going on, they just liked to rub it under the nose when manure won. Most manu supporters I know are glory hunters who don't really give a shit, when asked about current players they can't name anybody except for Ronaldo or Rooney lol.... Never in my life have I come across this type of Chelsea supporters though, and sadly I know no chelsea fans in real life.
  14. In a 4-3-3 system you can't play DD and Torro together, because there is simply enough room for just 1 striker and you don't want to convert either of them into a winger... I reckon they'd be pissed and hand in a transfer request just like Gallas In a 4-4-2 they could play together, but I don't think we'll have many chances to find out and last season when they did play together they both were shit (or torres at least) so nobody knows how they would perform on form and under AVB.
  15. any backstory on what this pdf is about? but it's long known that Falcao is a lost case. This topic can as well be closed.
  16. I read that Moratti said Sneijder wasn't going anywhere and that he was untouchable. He said there had been no talks between ManU and Inter and that Sneijder would stay. Tough luck for Manure and Shitty http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/944877/moratti:-'untouchable'-wesley-sneijder-is-going-nowhere
  17. How absolutely stupid it was to wait until his initial buyout clause expired and go for him now that Valencia have the upper hand in the negotiations. Now we must cough up 5-10 million more. That's financial negotiating in its highest level. I can't help but facepalm at the line which reads "Their initial hopes of securing him for a similar fee to the original buyout clause appear to have been rebuffed, with Valencia pushing for €30m before they will release the player." That's what you get for assessing our often-mentioned wide players too long.
  18. no but seriously, are you?
  19. Those sentences surely weren't translated in google, I would recognize those shitty translations in a heartbeat And Van Aanholt wrote to him, that surely must show it's a legit account? unless Patrick writes to random unverified people
  20. Who was that dude who Mourinho grabbed by the ear? If he's from Real, then that guy won't be working there much longer me feels. He really has lost it, I mean he's a legend and all and a never seen before character in football, but he has some serious behaviour issues including that thing he did when Messi and Alves went by
  21. Zashko, are you really a male?
  22. I think the main reason why Lamps is still held in high regard is because of his influence on the whole team. When he's out, the team, especially midfield tends to underperform and look somewhat clueless. I suspect the main reason is because Lampard is/was our most reliable midfield maestro and once he was out, there was nobody to fill in... but now, if everything goes according to plan, we will have Josh and Luka doing the same job (minus the goals). He's our vice captain, a piece of the team's spine and it takes time to make the team feel comfortable without him, so I think his role will slowly be reduced by AVB as season(s) go by, until he's no longer a regular starter. Cracking the spine too suddenly can lead to adverse effects... one may argue that a player's influence is as important as his skills.. that may be the case here. Plus you don't give up on a player like Frank that easily, knowing what a tremendous professional he is and how critical he is of his own performances, he will be looking to up his game and his form... He said it himself that he was disappointed with his last season form, but Ancelotti sent him a message that it was enough by playing him regularly. It might take time because of his age and the injury he suffered, but he still has things to contribute. But I just noticed that this is the Mata thread, so I'll shut up now
