Then Ashley passing in his penalty box to an opposition and then Luiz not closing the shooter down. Wtf?! And then Cech has a massive brainfart... how on EARTH do you make the softest pass of all time exactly to your opponent's foot when NONE of your teammates are even near him - it literally reminded me of an elephant running amok. The pass to Mikel which lead to a goal earlier this season was nothing compared to this. Then during the 2nd goal Luiz got caught too easily. And it's a shame we missed out on Pienaar, he's exactly who we need atm. He looked a better player than anybody in our squad atm.

One summer won't be enough, I don't think the club will be able to revamp the squad in such a short time. it will take 2 years at least, if not more. As a minimum AVB must see his contract out. We bet a lot on him getting him in the club, now he must be given the freedom to do what he was brought in to do... like zolayes said, "bite the bullet and see it through". It's like an operation really, it will be hard and painful but have a healing effect. But IF nothing happens during the summer, if no intent is shown, then by all means we can sack the board and AVB because they're useless. My worst thought is that we'll see almost identical team next season... the worry is fuelled by the fact the club was prepared to offer Drogba an extension, luckily his greed has got in the way. I seriously hope that at least 50% of our starting XI next season is different.

You know... Just imagine AVB managing a team full of top talent. I mean REAL talent, in 4-3-3 formation, having pacy wingers, a deadly striker, a witty playmaker. Out of our current players, ONLY Mata and Luiz fit that equation, nobody else (maybe also Romeu in a few years). Now imagine if he was given time to refresh the squad how he thinks is best, we could see an upgraded version of Porto with fluid football. This image alone deserves giving him time. And don't get me wrong, that time isn't only one season, you can't dump 90% of your team in one summer, it would be gradual. Hopefully in his 3rd season we'd see 180 degree improvement.

Tbh the whole team is devoid of confidence and belief in themselves. It isn't felt only in Torres, he's just the more visible one, but you can see it in everybody refusing to or unable to take responsibility in decisive moments. It's a very hard task for AVB to motivate them again, I certainly wouldn't know how to do that. The players are probably starting to realize that they're not good enough and reality is hitting them hard 2nd season in a row. It's probably not good knowing that you're past it and most around you are too, it breeds frustration. And I'm saying that without having seen the game vs Everton, but I'm sure it will reflect there even more, seeing that even zolayes has lost all words of defence.

Goalkeeper is the least of our issues now and the last position to worry about.

Well it shouldn't be a primitive tool.
