Lampard Shutting the media up at Mestalla?
manpe replied to CHOULO19's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Tabloid junk must feel so embarassed now... Frank isn't the type of guy who will sulk and cry over petty shit media accused him of. He is the kind of guy who talks on the pitch, and his response in footballing terms has been equal to his rant in LBC radio (if you lot remember that). We owe some gratitude to them actually I feel Maybe without their shitstorm Lampsy wouldn't have tried so hard to shut them up... who knows. -
I thought AVB made all the right subs today... Ivanovic for Bosingwa was a bit unexpected since we haven't seen him do it before, but it was a very welcome sub in my eyes and it paid off imo. Many managers are reluctant to change the defensive line, but AVB clearly has the balls to take off weak links no matter which line. As Bolton started whipping in more long balls and looking for fouls, more aerial power was needed. Mikel for Ramires was a change towards more defensive and physical approach. He provided much needed cover, security and physical presence in defence. As we were leading comfortably, one of Ramires or Meireles deserved a rest. A good sub by AVB. Mata was clearly struggling in this physical game and his touches didn't seem to be as good as in previous games, but shit happens, you can't expect him to be class A every single game. He looked tired as well. I really wanted to see Lukaku get a run, but I was pretty sure it was either Mata or Sturridge going to make way, and as game went on, I was 90% it was going to be Mata going off... And I was hoping Anelka would come on instead of Malouda, and it did happen. I think AVB did everything right today in terms of tactics, team selection and substitutions.

The Bolton goal had nothing to do with us being very attacking. It was a set-piece and it's a 100% defensive situation where attacking isn't on your mind, and we are poor at defending those. I'm still very much waiting for a proper clean sheet. To be fair Bolton actually did score from open play when we were exposed in counter-attack, but Ivanovic cleared off the line, but replays showed it was definitely a goal... our luck that it wasn't counted

Fantastic result Best players for me: Lampard, Sturridge, Luiz, Terry, Cole Unimpressed by (not meaning they were bad): Drogba, Bosingwa, Mata
-
He absolutely despises Inter

The best 1st half in a while, the first game wrapped up in 30 minutes in a long time... Hopefully we can keep a clean sheet and it will be a perfect day.

To mix things up I'll nominate warnie 666 and eldo as well... including dodojojo and seb

When I click "Mobile version" bottom left, nothing happens... the main page just reloads. Of course then I use Mobile theme, it works okay, except the theme change is tied to your account (meaning your theme changes on your mobile and pc and vice versa), but that's a minor problem.

Doesn't matter what you think, you may be right, but you can't speak for everybody. Every player who played gets nominated, that's the whole point of being fair and equal and unbias and that is exactly what BL is doing by listing the unworthy everytime... It's just a shame to see that Kalou is 3rd atm, because of obvious sarcastic votes. If those votes had been distributed rationally, then the TC man of the match might end up being someone else.. and I believe those polls will be summed up at the end of the season and the "TC player of the year" will be announced based on that? So voting with your brain not your ass will contribute to a TC cause with a few simple clicks. Anyway, I'm not taking this too seriously, everybody has the right to vote for Kalou as much as they do for Luiz or Lampard. I don't really give a s* who anybody votes for, I made my own decision which I thought was fair and that's enough for me. Just offering my backing to zolayes in that matter.

2 assists

I prefer white socks, because I feel whenever we play with blue, we play shittier... or maybe it's because against Everton we usually wear blue

Why exactly was the other Kalou thread closed in the current squad forum? In hope that he won't be our player for much longer? It's strange that an admin decides to close legitimate threads by his own moods, what if there will be something to discuss about him (other than bashing him)? For now this thread will do And if people decide to bash him, then that is the people's will and a natural run of discussion.. something like freedom of speech. And I didn't see anything out of the ordinary there, same shit just different day.

against Valencia

Voted for Cech

Regular workers who are paid 1/1000 of Kalou's wages don't exactly get a pat on their back after doing their job shitty, especially when making this a habit. Sure this public attention will get to your head, but as a pro footballer you expect that, especially in England... Mind you, they do get hefty paychecks in compensation. At least he went on the pitch and didn't start bitching like a certain Argentine who refused to do his job for what he gets paid 285K/week, so props to Kalou for at least trying

I think we have an undercover gunner spy lurking around

How many of those assists were flukes? You're talking out of your ass.. last season he struggled, he was injured, no doubt. But in the double season he was magnificent.

I agree to some extent. It's most important to keep him injury free, serious injuries affect young player's development greatly... just look at Sam Hutchinson and the countless youth careers ruined by injuries. It's important for him to train with the team regularly and play once in a while.. if he played week in week out no doubt he'd pick up an injury sooner or later.
