It was all about Ivanovic's cross... so glad he played there today, had it been Bosingwa crossing we know we wouldn't have scored from that situation.

His first assist to Sturridge against Sunderland was exquisite.. shame he can't do it regularly. The performance level of everyone has dropped over the last half a season, not only his.. he's probably one of those players who performs when the team performs.

We must grind out this season with the likes of Meireles and Lampard, we have no realistic replacements (Malouda? no thank you. Essien? Rami has taken over his spot, both of them don't fit in unless one is DMF) and we loaned out Josh and Benayoun (both were mistakes loaning out imo, they would be much more useful subs or starters). Hopefully during the summer we will patch our weak points, one of which is the central midfield position next to Ramires.

Would Moyes be able to handle a big club though? So far he's had to manage with limited budgets and "small club mentality", we don't know how he'd fare with us.

Yeah, but it just shows the problem when our often benched 33yo midfielder is top scorer (didn't Danny surpass him today though?). We have no real goalscorer in our team, every top team has a distinct main goalscorer. Our goals (as much as we have scored them) are distributed between everyone more or less. We didn't have one last season either, and it showed.

Not exactly. We dodged Bosingwa and Malouda, so all's good for now. Of course it's disappointind that Lukaku isn't even on the bench, but 1 dodgy decision by AVB is good taking into consideration the latest trend.

Defence line-up is exactly what I wanted (Y) Hoped to see Torres dropped once and for good, but didn't happen. Am also worried about Mata, he's being burned out and we need him fresh against Napoli, but oh well. At least RAMIRES is back now I'm more confident of a win.

This thread is 234 pages long and I found out it's frustratingly repetitive. Same things were said 9 months ago as now, same excuses, although people still had hope... Now the only difference is that hope is much thinner. One of the most boring and repetitive threads in TC history imo. And if to incorporate all the separate topics created about Torres, it would be much longer and much duller.

what kind of philosophy? I like the concept of nihilism, although I'm not sure if I am a nihilist or not. Misanthropy is also interesting, although I don't consider myself a misanthrope.. but I find it fascinating. Generally I am sceptical of everything and don't believe that anything has a meaning, although I don't consider it to be a bad thing or a good thing. I am disinterested of many "important" aspects of life - academic learning, working career, creating a family - I don't aspire to any of those. I don't know why you all used to like him so much, it reminds me of the love Henry is getting here. I didn't like him - he was a diving cunt, always scoring against us. I usually despise all red shirt wearing players (except a few) and he was no exception. I had an open mind when he joined us, because I knew that despite my biased hatred towards him, he was still good and could add something to our squad... boy was I proven wrong, once touched by liverpool you'll stay forever ruined.

Valentine's day is a meaningless holiday. It's a day dedicated to capitalism, "buy this and that" or you don't care of your close ones - that's a classical example of exploiting people's relationships for monetary gain. Reality is that every day should be a valentine's day.. people shouldn't show attention to their loved ones only on one day in a whole year, it should be made clear throughout the year so there wouldn't be so much emphasis on a single day. I heard that most suicides are committed on valentine's, a day that pressures people's emotional attachments - not a single other day has such effect on people, especially lonely people. I personally don't celebrate this, I have my own beliefs.

Lampard is an intelligent person and player, I can't believe the stories saying that he's acting like a twat, I just don't believe that. But if he is, then he must go. Only AVB knows for certain, and I trust that he takes proper measures in the future.
