Logically speaking he should be offered nr. 11, yes, but he may have some other preference. And is Kenyon dead?
-
(he scored a brace against Genk, his only hattrick came against qpr)

I agree. It would be very good if the forum was usable through Tapatalk.

Yep, he does want to go to Manchester alright..................... to smash those cunts! and then travel back to London.

That must be one of the most random bumps in internet history

not sure if serious

That's true, there is always a positive aspect for us when a player doesn't play for his country. But for the sake of the player, I would like to see him get a chance in a big tournament at least once. It's just special to see Chelsea players in such competitions, gives me extra reason to watch those games and root for them.

Cap, I don't think Bosingwa and others intentionally blocked out Terry. If you look at the trophy lifting again, then you can see that it was really crowded and tight there. Lamps and Terry came last, meaning they were stuck behind in the crowd. Right before the lifting you can see Kalou and Bosingwa trying to make room for them, but as soon as the trophy was lifted that gap closes again because of frantic celebrations, only Lampard managed to get a foot in there. There was no plot to erase Terry's presence, it was just bad organization for the lifting.

I don't like wearing sunglasses because I don't feel comfortable with them, I'm afraid that people will look at me and think "he's trying to look all tough, but it makes him look like a cock" Is that weird?

Congrats shon What's the difference between a global moderator and a moderator? As I understand, global mod has jurisidiction over every subforum, while moderator is assigned to a few subforums?

It sometimes surprises me how are people able to talk completely random stuff in a Talk Chelsea forum. One of the most extreme ones I remember was the gay argument, not to mention some of the blatantly racist/xenophobic comments we've had over the time. I guess tools like that lurk around everywhere, at your local store and in internet forums. And there are always going to be people who ignore such rules and carry on. I think the best practice is to contact repetitive offenders personally and say a few guiding words, otherwise such generic warning threads won't reach them.

At least Kalou got to immortalize his abs in the club's history books

I'm just thorough in nature. It is of course a plus that there are many active mods and admins here who share the responsibility, and of course the option for members to report misconducts themselves.

I'm afraid that if my candidacy were successful, my "relationship" with the forum would change. Kind of like from fun leisure pastime to an obligation. For example now I can skip pages or threads that don't particularly interest me, but as a mod I would feel compelled to read them all.

lol, I don't know what I just did. I wrote an application, sent it, but then deleted it a few minutes later. I can't figure out if I want to apply or not. I guess if there's even slight hesitation, then it's best not to.

Is there some new mainstream conspiracy theory going around? It is the second forum today in which exactly the same thread was opened (about Illuminati and olympic bombings). I've watched my fair share of documentaries about such things. I don't know what to think or believe. There are some things that seem plausible and then there are things that are just over the top. It's probably impossible to prove any of it, so it's difficult to form a strong opinion on it. I just keep an open mind, absorb new information and observe global events and try to connect dots in the light of new knowledge. Not much an average joe can do anyway, we are merely slaves.

And is that the sole reason why we won the whole thing? We wouldn't have won it without a lot of things, not all of them involve Drogba.
-
That is such an exaggerated statement. He did nothing single handedly. He could have easily been the anti-hero had Messi or Robben converted their penalties, but he had the bar and Cech to thank for dragging him out of looming shit. There, I said it, but that's what I think, and I feel I can say it now that all the biggest emotions have faded. Cech was at least as important as Drogba in the final games. Not to mention the ones who did the dirty work all game long.

I'd be surprised if Ronaldo or Messi didn't win it. Those 2 will be topping the charts for quite a while now. Hopefully Hazard will have a say one day. It would be a shame if Xavi didn't win it at least once in his career, for the past decade he's been more instrumental and iconic for Barcelona and his country than Messi. Judging by the winners of last 10 years, anybody else but attackers don't get much love (with the exception of Cannavaro). Last midfielder to win it was Zidane in '98, and even he won it for his goals.

I believe AVB was blowing out of his ass, he didn't look or sound convincing at all whenever he was asked that. And he was in an extreme situation as a manager, he was always going to get sacked. Players are looked at in a much more lenient way, how else can we explain how the likes of Kalou stayed here so long? During the summer there is not much Torres can do to fuck up. Euros? Meh, who cares how he does there, it's not Chelsea and won't probably affect our board's mind... He scored twice already anyway, that's probably enough to send Roman spunking. Pre-season? Benayoun and McEachran were one of the best last summer, yet one was sent on loan and the other was left rotting. They are mostly played to assess and improve players' fitness. True quality is assessed in competitive games, and the next competitive games for him will start next season. Whether he performs good or bad in the USA is irrelevant I think. I am almost certain he will be given one more year at least. I can't see a usually taciturn Torres going around announcing that he was given assurance if it was not really the case. We haven't been strongly linked to any strikers either, most strong rumours are about wingers and now right backs. At this point it shows we have no intention of replacing him and are focusing on improving the service instead.

I thought at first Ramires wasn't good on the wing, he was rather bad. But he got better and better as time went by. Ramires really isn't a proper answer to our wing situation, he can't cross properly and consistenly enough, he isn't a dribbler, he isn't what you would call creative. He's good to play through balls to considering his pace and energy, but that's pretty much it. Well, he also gives the bonus of providing good defensive cover. As I have already said before, I don't really know where Ramires would fit as a starter provided we get a proper right winger. But that's off-topic, so I won't be discussing that any further.
-
Isn't Moses a winger though?
-
It is very possible that at this early stage it is an intentional leak, but he could be our fall back guy and it might get serious as more time goes by without any progress with Hulk.
-
Discussions over the possiblity of selling Torres are meaningless since Roman himself gave him a guarantee that he'll be our main striker next season. Yeah yeah, getting 30 million for him would be good and all, but it's not going to happen this summer.
