Awesome line-up.

Dayum, I wish it was possible. He would wipe the floor with modern pop "artists" (nowadays "artist" is an inaccurate name. It implies that the person creates art, but all they do is sell their voices to be autotuned to somebody else's lyrics and melody, and female "artists" sell their asses to gain popularity. Michael was a true artist in its purest sense). Yep, big MJ fan here PS Maybe a separate topic should be created for this discussion? It's fascinating, but not really politics anymore.

Not possibru to tell until it happens. And it's about time we start snapping up quality players before they prove and win everything and we have to throw 50M at them. Plus hopefully under Conte we'll rotate more, so he won't have to play all those 60 games.

Keeping Courtois is more important than keeping a short-term backup goalie happy. If we sell a world class goalie because of a rough patch, we will be in danger of changing goalies every few years, and that is never a good thing.

Why? What's the point? To lose him and make another one of our positions average?

Actually he made a horrible mistake earlier in that match against Hull and we conceded. That triple save basically atoned him.

None of that comes close to convincing me of creationism/intelligent design. For every theory, you can find the other side (trying to) debunk it. There are A LOT of unanswered questions, things we don't know and in this current state cannot comprehend or have the means to find the answers. Instead of trying to explain every unexplainable thing by giving credit to god, I leave those questions open to speculation until something factual comes out. Quite simply the idea of a single deity being the creator of EVERYTHING is too far fetched for me, irrational. Science is much more rational for me, it is comprehensible and compatible with my line of thinking. I'm not gonna give more lengthy replies on this matter because it is getting off-topic and Dion already says what I think. However, this discussion has reignited my interest in existential matters, creationist and evolution. Thank you for providing your view of the other side. I still maintain that religion has nothing to do with morality though

You can use google. It's still not a fact though afaik, so you may safely disregard that single sentence from my post. What about the rest of what I said about morality? Major faults in transnational species? Please clarify. So your whole argument against evolution is that scientific dating tests are not 100% accurate, who would have known. I still trust them more than.. I don't even know what we're comparing it with, since this is all we got. And no, I don't take some dates mentioned in the bible as fact. But I'm still not sure how determining something's age is relevant here. The fact that we can't reliably pinpoint something's exact age doesn't mean that millions of years of evolution didn't happen. How evolution beats creationism? For an atheist, that is a simple question. I'm not sure if I'm gonna muster the time and energy to explain, as it's clear that we don't share the same beliefs, so it's completely pointless to run in circles. But for example, we can to this day find signs of evolution on our own bodies (f.ex. rudimentary muscles we don't need anymore). Fetuses still start growing tails in the womb for a short period of time until our genetic code stops it. If creationism were true, then I see no reason for god to have engineered us with body parts and functions we don't need. Do you? Perhaps god just works in mysterious ways, so everything unexplainable can be explained by this. What is more likely though? That they have become obsolete over a long period of time as a result of adapting to changes in environment and way of life. I have never ever seen a creationist bring forward any studies to even semi-convincingly confirm creationism or debunk evolution, but there are far more evidence supporting the latter. By the way, I'm not trying to be aggressive towards your beliefs, though it may sound so. I'm just puzzled how people can be so confident in their beliefs based only on (blind) faith, something I so far have failed to understand.

Totally wrong. This sounds like some nonsense you might hear in a church. Morality isn't exclusively tied to religion, never was and never will be. You cannot believe that before 2016 years ago all people were sociopaths until some guy told them it was wrong. Morality comes from a conscious living being's ability to feel and convey emotions. For most normal people doing something bad to another human makes them feel bad, they feel it is wrong and therefore don't do it. This applies even to some other animals, and I doubt they know the first thing about god. You should look into human psychology more, unless you believe that all our thoughts and actions are determined by some higher being, in which case it would be pointless discussing it with you. Evolution beats creationism hands down, it's not even a contest.

They might have been crap, but average goalkeepers would have folded to pressure after the second shot. His recovery and awareness after every save was what you expect from a top GK, but not from a shitty one like many here would have you believe. Btw, I chose that video because I just saw an interview with Tibo where he said that he considers this his best (triple) save. He should know firsthand how easy or difficult it was, and he has pulled some absolute worldies over the years.

Why don't you follow him to arsenal then? He will be immense next season and I will revisit these pages then.

Lmao, you get 6 years for manslaughter over here. The turd who killed my friend got 8, not far off. Some laws don't make sense, as Leif pointed out, the difference between 6 years and 0 years is a couple of months before the gal turns barely legal. As if that timeframe makes any difference in her ability to keep her panties on in front of rich athletes...

Thank you Guus. I was going crazy when he used to do that every game under Mourinho.

Oscar and Remy are wildcards, you might just lose your nuts because of them. For the rest you're probably right.

Would fit right in, getting banned for non-footballing incident. Bring the boy back.

Anybody seen this? While I was watching it, I couldn't stop thinking that this is the kind of life that these people seriously want to install all over the world. If you're not a white straight muslim male, you are nobody. Talk about retrogression, this is real bigotry. And this can't even be explained by the west's injustice towards that region, because they are doing worse to their own people who have done no harm to them.

I know, you missed my point. My point was about terrorism based openly on religion. It is how it is. This is the reality in west right now fuelled by the mass influx and terrorist attacks. Those are issues provoked/enabled by western greed and sheer stupidity I may add. It is hypocritical, but regular folk actually listen to their leaders and media controlled by them, otherwise they wouldn't be their leaders if regular folk hadn't chosen them. It is very easy to do propaganda and control the direction of masses once you are already surrounded and raised by some certain dominant culture and ideologies. The truth always lies somewhere in between.

What USA did in ME was clearly political and religion was far from the main driving force behind it. Besides, it was a war declared against terrorism by a state. Not your conventional terrorism and not comparable to the point I was trying to make. But I agree that USA in essence is a terrorist state, except it's not religiously motivated despite what that puppet Bush might have said a few times. Religion was never brought as the main excuse and the soldiers committing those atrocities certainly didn't follow orders because "Jesus said so" or because it's written in some horribly outdated book. I'm not saying ISIS doesn't have political agendas, they clearly do, but the difference is that they are openly waging war against non-Muslims. I don't remember the last time some other religion's extremist groups did that on such a massive scale. Actually any time we see muslims committing acts of terror, they always have religious motives (Allah or some prophet told them to do it, basically). Their numbers are frightening and it's growing. Radical islam has crossed borders and is a real issue concerning several continents now. I'm yet to see other religious extremists have such effect. Russian church calling something holy war isn't terrorism. What Russia did wasn't religiously motivated and not what you call conventional terrorism (i.e. purposefully infiltrating and slaughtering innocent civilians). But again, Russia itself is a terrorist state, just not religiously driven. I don't know anything about buddhist extremism, it's not widely covered over here. I live in western media sphere which doesn't care about non-Europe/USA tragedies and this could explain my ignorance on this subject. If this genocide is aimed towards peaceful muslims for religious reasons, then I guess they are just as bad. Jewish (Israeli) extremism towards Palestina... Is it religiously motivated? Also, there is a reason why muslims in western world are feared and getting subjected to worse and worse stereotypes since 2001. You don't see other religious fanatics wreaking so much havoc. You get the odd lunatics who talk to Jesus, but nothing as massive and organized as you constantly get from the Middle East. People are afraid of normal muslims, because their extremist counterparts have done an excellent job in destroying the religion's image. What a sad state of affairs whatever way we look at it.

Yes, in that sense islam is far more intolerant and a more fruitful breeding ground for extremism. In fact I think in recent history it is the only religious group to commit organized mass murders on regular basis in the name of their faith. Things like that is exactly the reason why generalization, stereotypes, racism and xenophobia towards certain people are born.

What a stupid thing to say. He has to face his teammates again after the break, did he forget that? I'm sure he meant what he said, nobody would like to play with this defence at the moment, but still you don't say it out loud. It humiliates the team even further.
-
I'm not gonna pretend to know anything meaningful about islam, but I read just some hours ago before you posted this question, that it is a peaceful religion, but only when everybody else is muslim or under the control of islam. If that is true, then it is a typical "peace by war" type of thing that leaders for different objectives have adopted for millennias. Christianity isn't better, medieval crusades nearly wiped out our ethnic people and was a comfortable pretence to enslave nation after nation. In fact I heard some news about a study concluding that the bible contains more references to violence than quran. Whatever way you look at it, there are not many things much more dangerous than people who think they have the right to kill for some greater good. Religion gives people a very strong sense of a "greater good" and from there on they can be very easily manipulated to do anything, and we are seeing it today and we will see it tomorrow and the day after tomorrow in newspapers, because this madness is rampant all over the world. Europe so far has gotten off lightly.

Welcome terrorists, Europe greets you with open arms! I don't think our "leaders" realize we're at war. Somebody should explain to them what "infiltration" means. It's a common tactic used in every type of war, somebody send Merkel and co a link to the wikipedia page. This is now probably the biggest and deadliest case of infiltration tactics used by people who have no morals or rules. I'm just glad I live in a pointless country who nobody cares about, but our "leaders" are doing everything in their power to paint a target on our backs by brown nosing USA. Fuck islam. Fuck all religion. I can't believe modern people, who should be more intelligent than thousands of years ago, are still following fucking moronic ancient fairy tale books and bringing it as excuse for such actions.
