Amazing isn't it? I can finally call myself an "old" Chelsea supporter, in a way. I started following Chelsea and football in general more closely around 04/05 by total chance, saw a random Chelsea match on TV and that's how it went. I remember that it was JT's steel, determination and Frank's intelligent, quiet but ruthless style of play that kept me hooked and wanting to see every game. And nobody can accuse me of glory hunting because I've stayed through thick and thin, no looking back. But I still remember those times.. for example Cech's head injury was like yesterday, then Cudicini and finally JT in goal Remember things like that as if it was yesterday, but it was actually a decade ago

No way he will be a CB for us. Should have been loaned where he plays where he has the best chance here (LB/LWB).
-
Has he played LWB before? Not that it matters much 'cause Moses hadn't either and this position is essentially a B2B full-back, but if Ake has then it'd be interesting to know how he fared.

We have lost that African power we used to have, by the sounds of it Kessie would bring it back. And his name is similar to Essien. Sign him up!

You can say that about any position in our team really. WB positions are far more pressing issues. If we bulk up those positions we can consider Moses backup to wingers, he can play either side, so a winger is not needed. No doubt with this transfer window and with the upcoming summer window we need to add players to every position, but wing-back is something where we literally have not one backup unless you consider Ivanovic and Aina sufficient (they are not).
-
Amazing. Can you read my future?
-
Not surprising, you just have to look at our bench game after game. We've been lucky not to have injuries or suspensions to key players, because our options from the bench are the likes of Aina, Ivanovic, Loftus-Cheek and Batshuayi. That's not good enough and doesn't inspire confidence.

There was no special context for this question, was there? I re-read your post and couldn't find anything that changed the meaning of the question to which I replied. You said both Azpi and Cahill are rarely in the 2nd third of the pitch, I completely disagree with that, you disagreed with yourself too by admitting that Azpi does go forward. If you divide the pitch into thirds, then whatever way you look at it both are often in that area.
-
All the time, especially Azpi who pushes forward every time space is afforded. 2nd third is around the middle of the pitch, isn't it? We play a high line so it's natural they are in the 2nd 1/3 most of the time when in possession.

I don't know about Google News, but I've been reading articles about Mike Dean and the mistakes he and his assistant made the whole day. Some stories have been absolutely damning. Surprisingly a lot of attention is being shown to it despite United being on the favourable end.

Not comparable. It's ordinary for Dutch players to be playing at the top level, but this is the first time for any Estonian. The whole country is watching him.
-
It's taken me a long time to gather courage to say this here, but here it goes: If Chelsea don't win the league, I hope Liverpool do. Why? It's simple - Ragnar Klavan. He is very likely the only Estonian to play at such a level during my lifetime, playing in England has been his dream and he's doing extremely well over there (he was immense against City!). I would like it only for him, it's a shame he plays for Liverpool but to be frank if it's not Chelsea I don't really care who it is. The only other Estonian to have played in the premier league was Mart Poom, but he played for the likes of Sunderland and Derby, not really grade A clubs in world football.

At least he has mastered one thing, the Carlo brow

Those people don't know what they're talking about, it's as interesting as it's ever been. 6pt gap is nothing in the EPL.
-
How, who is writing us off? Writing off a team on a 13 game winning streak indicates mental issues or a fixed match.

Yeah we used a fake name too.

I used to order hundreds of G of green from dark web. Lost.. wait for it... 420€(!) once, probably confiscated. Decided to quit because it got too dangerous when laws were made stricter for ordering drugs online.

The most technically gifted player I have ever seen play for Chelsea, a legend in the making. We will only ever truly realize what we had once he's gone, hopefully that happens when he's 35 and has a statue.
-
He was great again! And the quotes from the below article make me think more and more that he is captain material.
-
Why did Conte humiliate him like this? It opens him up to ridicule. Not sure he even got 2 seconds. This makes him feel even more useless because his role has been reduced to being a waste of time when it needs to be wasted (it wasn't needed at all this time, we were 3 ahead with stoppage time ending). Bring him on earlier or don't bring him on at all, why destroy his confidence even more? He must be off in January and a striker must be signed, because we can't have our backup striker to be this distrusted and Costa isn't made of steel.
-
This implies we go 3-5-2.. Where will Hazard fit? Only if we play 3-5-2 with Hazard as CAM?
-
When we first signed him in a short space of time together with Hazard, I said I was more excited about him than Hazard. I think I based that off of his performances in the Olympic games, he was great there. In hindsight I can say I was wrong. Never the best footballer, but he did produce some brilliant moments for us and he was instrumental in some of the successes we enjoyed (Jose's title winning season for example). I am thankful to him for the good he offered and I wish him all the best.
