  1. Absolutely spot on, which is why I won't criticise our players for their effort and commitment. RDM got his team choice and tactics spot on again.
  2. Considering the circumstances, I think we did pretty well. Exceptional defensive performance (Bosingwa included, despite one mistake) and the goalkeeper was solid too. No complaints with the contributions of Mikel, Malouda, Essien or Oriol, yet the front three were all very, very poor. Overall happy with the performance and the point. We will take six points from QPR and Blackburn, and I think if we can at least draw away at Anfield, should we beat Newcastle then 4th is not too distant a target. However FA Cup and UCL should now be our priorities.
  3. Imagine if we got through... with no Luiz, Ivanovic, Cole and Ramires...
  4. Online Arsenal member 'The Doctor' has taken the time to answer some questions about today's crunch Premier League encounter. The last time these two sides met, it was an incredibly-open game. Do you think today will be a similar style of match? No, I think it will be much tighter today. Chelsea have had a remarkable turn-around in fortune since Roberto di Matteo took over. What do you think has made them put this run together? I think the change in manager has been the key factor, I didn't think AVB was a particularly good manager, Especially for not such a high profile job. Robin van Persie is obviously Arsenal's main man, but there are worries over his future. Do you think the Dutchman will stay put? Yes, I believe so, He's a Gooner from childhood, Loves Arsenal, his wife and children are settled in London and He has said that he doesn't wish to disrupt that. Chelsea faced Barcelona on Wednesday in a gruelling encounter. Do you think this will affect the Blues players and their fitness, and will this play a big role in today's game? Playing Barcelona is a tiring match to play in, I do not envy the run of games that Chelsea are on now, With Totscum, Barfa, us then Barfa again.... I think a few Chelsea players will be rested. Arsenal look shoe-ins for a Champions League place, whilst Chelsea aren't even guaranteed a Europa League spot. Would you be happy with your season if you secured a top four spot? Yes, I would seeing as I didn't think we would make the top 5 or 6, But I am not happy with the direction the club is going in general. The summer is fast approaching and you would expect Wenger to spend in the summer. Which area would you like to see strengthened, and who would you bring in? Attacking midfielder, I'd bring in a high profile name in the mould of Gotze, Sneijder or Kaka. Though none of those are likely to be honest. Finally, what is your prediction for today's match? I think Arsenal will win 2-1. Thanks for answering our questions, and enjoy the game!
  5. Let's do this bitches! People still serious about this? Good.
  6. It's just to troll with Arsenal. We'll release the team-sheet and it'll be something like this: Cech Bosingwa - Cahill - Terry - Cole Mikel - Essien Ramires - Mata - Malouda
  7. What makes it even better is that a) all the doubters on this forum look a little silly now all the doubters who support other clubs look even sillier c) we fucked Arsenal over with a signing, AGAIN
  8. If you draw the midfield five up as: Ramires - Lampard - Mikel - Essien - Malouda You'd see I'm breaking up no partnerships at all
  9. I'd play: Cech Ivanovic - Cahill - Terry - Cole Mikel - Essien Ramires - Lampard - Malouda Drogba In a predominantly 4-5-1 system. Ramires and Malouda are our most athletic wing players, and Malouda's defensive discipline and understanding with Cole is very, very good.
  10. Do I really have to repeat myself, or does the ban hammer really have to come out? Consider this a final warning, I do not expect to see such petty, childish arguments. 24-hour suspensions will to doled out to anyone who continues to argue. There's free speech, and then there's being stupid; this is the latter. Alex.
  11. If this is the case, I may be forced to remove your eyes, Sloth.
  12. Also, in regards to the heated arguments, take it elsewhere or have a nice little suspension to cool off. Believe me, I've had a very long and troublesome day and I'm in the mood to hand out a good ass-kicking.
  13. Gonna be blunt with you - this will never happen. Too much effort and commitment needed, we don't have the resources. Sorry.
  14. I was at work tonight so I only got to see bits and pieces of the game. Everyone went mental when Chelsea scored, most of them don't even like the club; when they cheered I thought Barca had scored. We got lucky, from what I saw. But I also saw heart and commitment and I am a very proud Blue atm.
  15. I only tried doing that because the first time I tried betting I won £194 and I was intent on repeating that time and time again!
  16. I appreciate that, I'm just saying there are strands of similarity between the two. However the comparisons between a winger and a playmaker are laughable... might as well compare Petr Cech with Robin van Persie.
  17. Will happily do a shift at work naked if we beat these cunts. Even if we lose the tie overall, just stuff the cunts at the Bridge please. Also, we have to be physical. Puyol and Mascherano are both 1 yellow away from suspension, meaning they'd have no fucking defenders for the return leg! Barcelona fans are so fucking arrogant. Without Messi they'd just be Mourinho's bitches.
  18. Because Mata is a left-winger and a playmaker. Meaning he can be compared with Bale and Modric. Modric and Bale cannot be compared.
  19. I think Cap's point is that Ramires' game is based on his dynamism and energy. Without that's he's a distinctly average player.
  20. We'll get a new number 11 and a new goal-getter for sure, but we won't ever get another Drogba. Absolute legend.
  21. Well, Mata is by far a better player than Modric, and far more dynamic as he can play in a wing position. Ergo we do not need playmakers, we need wingers, and Bale is better than the rest in the EPL, in my opinion. Valencia a close second.
