  1. Is him being “put down” or perhaps criticised is a better word, undeserved though? I mean has he really done enough to justify the money he cost? I mean is it really such an injustice to expect more from a guy who scored 94 goals at RB Leipzig in 4 seasons and looked like a top player? Or to think someone of his reported quality and ability should be able to control a football better or dribble better? Or not be caught offside a lot? There are major issues in our club atm in attacking positions when you look at it. A lot of players don’t seem capable of delivering enough and he is 100% one of them. As is Lukaku. I don’t see how anyone can dispute this. Just because Lukaku has been shite doesn’t mean Timo hasn’t been. He has been pretty awful bar a collection of games and you cannot get away from that.
  2. The real irony is you are posting you want these sort of passes regularly, asking “is it that hard?” in the RLC thread. The man who is the king of inconsistency, struggling to stay fit and having next to 0 real end product 99/100 times.
  3. Irrespective of the linkage to Putin from his past, not wanting any loans repaid (sum of £2bn is what the club owns him apparently) and donating money to victims in Ukraine is an absolutely colossal statement. Top man.
  4. Needs to be more ruthless if he is to kick on. The run off the ball itself was good but finishing was just off.
  5. Worked in the Super Cup. Didn't today. Cant blame the boy really, or even blame Tuchel, this was potentially going to happen at some point… just the way the cookie crumbles with penalties. To lose on the 22nd penalty, its pretty unlucky.
  6. I would imagine 90% of Europe is against what Putin is doing. But him being for/against what Putin is doing is not why this is unfolding the way it is with Roman at current re his assets.
  7. But if this document is legit then surely Roman admitting in a court of law that he ‘paid for political influence’ around 3 and a half years ago or whenever all but effectively give them a bone to chew on? Plus the links to Putin haven’t been proven? I am sure for the best part of 10-15 years particularly theyve been well documented and there has been multiple accounts of their relationship. Whether or not the links are as extreme as they have been claimed to be is another question but there 100% was a relationship there, go and look it up. It is well known and documented in 1999 that Roman interviewed personnel for cabinet positions under Putin when he first became Russian PM and also again, Roman was consulted regarding Putin’s successor in 2007. Roman also had very well known ties to Boris Yeltsin who was PM prior to Putin.
  8. Wolves hardly collapsed, they were poor all game, was only ever going to be one winner if you watched the game… I mean even positionally this season looking at the table, nobody expected them to be as high as they are first and foremost and again, I doubt anyone was expecting them to beat Arsenal either. I know I wasn’t before a ball was kicked. Wolves finish where they are and its a brilliant season for them. Nobody expected them to be this position or even do remotely well with their new manager. So their hardly duds. Leicester on the other hand have went from dropping out of the CL spaces twice, going into the Europa League and now ended up in the Conference League this season. Not to mention wherever they are now in the table. Now that is a collapse.
  9. Not sure how anybody could be surprised that this will/could happen. All because of that fucking idiot Putin too. The article on the previous page talking about Roman and emissions makes me laugh. How many planes take off in the UK daily? How many ships voyage in and out of the UK per week? How many cars are on the road in the UK daily? Yet they talk about one man and his super yacht/plane causing emissions 🤣 stupid cunts
  10. We dont necessarily need to be ahead of Liverpool or City either in terms of performance. Those standards are ridiculously high. Like Jose’s team here between 04-06. Or the Invincibles. Or Fergies 07-08 (IIRC) team with Ronaldo, Tevez and Rooney uptop amongst many examples. Just have to match theirs/improve our own consistency and ability to get results even when struggling. City may blow teams away anywhere between 4 to 7 goals to nil like 5 or 6 times a season minimum but when things aren’t going well in games, or they seem off in front of goal, they manage to cross that mental barrier and turn 1 points into 3 points. As do Liverpool. That is what we have struggled with and then ultimately we drop points. Obviously we want to reach those levels but those standards are ridiculously high and our business/club model isn’t geared up to give a manager that amount of time to achieve such a sustainable level of success. Because it has taken 3+ years at least for Pep and Klopp to get them that good. Hopefully Tuchel is the man to get this time though.
  11. Bayern? Really? A quick, technical, possession oriented and counter pressing team basing their team around Lukaku.….. who well, we’ve seen how he’s done here in a team not as good or complete as Bayern….. Not so sure. More like wishful thinking. Or pipeline dream that someone will buy him.
  12. Bayern 😂 There is no real or alternative reality in which Bayern go for Lukaku. They would go for Werner before Rom. And then about 971663 other players before Rom.
  13. Fine tune the finishing, add some consistency and a real ruthless streak - no doubt he will be a top player. Only one game tonight, after well, watching a hapless donkey at the weekend so the barometers not exactly very high and anything would look better. Lets see how he does next game. And the next and the next. Needs to build a run of matches.
  14. Both left PL clubs to go to Germany though having spent significant time in England.
  15. I think he will end up at Bayern in all honesty. Just strikes me as the sort of guy who having left England to progress in Germany, he may well stay there like Gnabry and Muisala. I do also think the way Sancho’s Man United move has gone maybe will make him a bit wary too.
  16. Not seen much mention of it but Wolves having a really, really good season with Lage there. Just need to find a real cutting edge but they have the bones of a pretty good team. Bruno Lage doing a good job changing their playing style whilst also retaining the solidity that they had under Nuno.
  17. Past it/relevant or not, Jose should never change. Comedy gold 🤣
  18. Kulusevski again involved. What are Juventus playing at? 😂
  19. Yeah he is quite a nasty wee fucker sometimes with little tactical fouls and things like that. The whole ‘he’s not that sort of player’ thing probably helps him… Fernandinho still the most ‘unbookable’ player in that squad must take 6 obvious fouls to get one booking.
  20. Possessions pointless though if you’ve not actually created one clear cut chance though where as Spurs have created 3. And they have more SoT (4 to City’s 2). Conte loves a smash and grab against Pep. And people said he can’t really achieve much at Spurs, few faces in and they’ll be a different team. Plus they have already signed Kulusevski who looks pretty promising so far.
  21. Would be typical for a Palmeiras goal to kick us into gear. Front players and CHO have been terrible. Our set pieces have also sucked.
  22. Nearly falling asleep watching this. Team needs a proper push because everything seems very half arsed.
  23. Was a but disappointing he didn’t get that goal as that chance, those are the ones that top strikers take. He looked very promising everywhere else though. Starting to think at this rate we may as well play him next season although another season of playing every week would be extremely beneficial. Be interesting to see what happens in the summer but still think theres absolutely no need to rush him back if we can get a top top wide/attacking midfield player to get 10-15 goals a season but finding one of those and offloading from our current bunch will be hard. Unless the Dembele rumours are true and he somehow becomes the player he was at Dortmund.
  24. As did Mount and Havertz who you have also continuously been critical of for the past 6-12 months or so….. Fluidity in attack doesn’t just come/not come from one player though. I mean even look at us under Conte, Pedro and Hazard were able to come inside and interchange because the wingbacks keeping the width allowed them the room to do so. They were very often coming inside, interchanging and drifting into half spaces. Costa didn’t necessarily have to go out and run the channels or drift really wide because he would be a reference/focal point to play little combinations with etc around the box. I mean I get Lukaku doesn't fit us and we have looked disjointed in attack this season and pressing from the front with him particularly but even with him not in the team the attacks hardly been ‘fluid’ this season for prolonged periods, has it?
