Why does Gusto go in with a 2 footed tackle… lucky man.
-
Reece James crossing the ball = goal. Something we never really see now because he spends 75% of his time playing as a CM/inverted FB. Sort it out Maresca.
-
Lucky thats not a booking. Keeper plays ball all day long. Attacking play been awful though. Enough for a penalty? After the GK played the ball? Behave 😂
-
Reece out for all of next season probably…..
-
If I’m Cole Palmer or Moises Caicedo I’m handing in a transfer request in the summer fuck playing in this steaming pile of shit next season. Neto, Noni, Mudryk…. Virtually 0 end product every time they get the ball. 0 shots on target.
-
Like when we signed Sidwell. Or Benayoun. Yep. And folk want to give Maresca a second season? Tactically we are miles off it as well. They play with wingbacks, its obvious, yet we don’t have a plan to stop their two 10s getting so much room and progressing the ball…
-
He is shite. Not cut out for top end of the PL. What do folk expect when you cheap out on quality players?
-
So easy. Every time they pass forward they seem to completely bypass our midfield… no pressure on the ball. Reece James is also finished if he is gonna be playing as an inverted RB. Just looks so shit there. United deserved the lead. Ok maybe not lucky as fuck though.

Madueke again showing that he is such a unintelligent footballer. Why mot square it to George? Who’s open? And Onside?
-
Colwill has been pretty poor for the best part of the last 2 full seasons though and needs someone who can come in and play at a high level to push him to improve so he can earn his place. Defensively he looks a bit off it and can be an easy target. I get he’s an academy player but if you’re not doing it, there can be absolutely no exceptions. I am surprised we haven’t seen more of Badiashile but he also has had injuries and performance issues. If we signed Guehi I reckon he’d come in and start in that LCB position. But has to be someone in their prime that comes in at GK, CB & CF - no more prospects.

Well a lot of match going fans won’t be happy, there is no connection with Maresca. At all. Hence the reaction the past months with poor results and his garbage pressers. Need to take drastic action and send these fucking idiot owners a message. Wonder how many season tickets will sell next season if we don’t get CL football in particular.
-
Not had that feeling since the first window under Boehly. And we likely will not ever again with these.
-
Would rather the club just disbanded than choose between those 2. Would rather the fat Spanish waiter returned in eithers place 🤣 Exactly. And that was after his quips about how we’ve not been finishing in the top 4 too in recent seasons. Then how CL wasn’t the goal then he walked that back. We should be top 4 comfortably but he has been a big reason as to why we aren’t. Its like Lampard’s first season, we were top 4 and sitting pretty then really nearly blew it. Only for it to be celebrated like it was a trophy despite having been numerous points clear at one stage earlier in the season. The exact same feeling with this chump. He’s at it.
-
Funny cause its probably true. Mental since February he has only completed a full 90 minutes a few times, one game was for England too. Hate to say it again but giving him the armband and a £250k 7 year deal is looking stupider and stupider each day. Barely on the pitch. Should be on pay as you play for that sort of dosh. Not looking forward to this game. United are plucky and will probably play out of their skin against us for some reason despite being pathetic for most of the season.
-
I think the thing with Sesko is they feel he is potentially going to be a top top level striker. Or thats how Red Bull see him. Whether or not it happens is a different story but his ceiling is way higher than Delap who is more of a throwback CF, his game isn’t very varied and once you take him out of the equation physically he really hasn’t got that bit of cuteness/cleverness to affect the game in other ways, which you need to be a top CF at a big club. Maybe it happens eventually but I think he will crash and burn at United. The thing is Jackson could probably of got over 20 PL goals last season if he wasn’t such a braindead footballer who could stay onside and finish the numerous easy chances he got. Probably the same this season. But he is a stupid footballer, poor finisher and thats why he will never be the main man for any top club with a shred of sense in the building. Which we don’t have. Hence why he is the number 1 CF for us.
-
From BBC isnt it? Yes because we faced a lot of good teams and put in a lot of good performances in on the way…. Maresca and the club are idiots if they think a Conference League win is signs of progress - we should of walked most games. Particularly when we have a £1bn squad and are playing teams from Denmark, Poland, Sweden, Kazakhstan with a 1/1000th of the budget we have. Even if we win it and he gets CL, he needs to go. Not only for that, tactically still don’t get why he has a £115m midfielder playing RB most weeks and one of the best RBs in Europe as a CM (when fit). Why not just play a 433 to get the MF guys in and use Reece as a RB with Cole as a RWer? Lack of tactical flexibility is ridiculous
-
I mean if we were really interested beforehand like the reports say stating long standing interest, why didn’t we sign him directly from City? Like Palmer? Like we tried to do with what do you call him, the fullback, O’Reily? At United? Where all of their CFs struggled due to poor service? He probably isn’t a better player than what they’ve got and what we’ve got. Different style but don’t think he is going to set the world alight there. Second season syndrome will hit him too his game isn’t varied enough. He was a surprise first half of this season as Ipswich were in general but his goals and performances have unsurprisingly dried up because teams have sussed him out already. He wouldn’t leave Villa where he works with his close pal Mochi to come here. Why would you though? These dipshits have run this club into mediocrity. Maresca probably gets a 5 year contract extension in the summer.
-
The alternatives? Probably 8 South American under 20s who haven’t played 100 games between them.
-
Couldn’t be a better move for us though. Given how United were considered the frontrunners for Oshimen for months. I really have a feeling Delap won’t score more than 10 PL goals next season. So they can have him. Not what we or they need.
-
Not the first time his discipline has been an issue. How many needless yellows did he get last season? Would tolerate that and the odd sending off as shit happens if he was actually up to scratch but he is fucking guff as a first choice CF for a club of this supposed ambition that we are meant to have. Even if he was good, todays red card is unacceptable at every level. Biggest game of the season. Didn’t he spit the dummy out and have a go at Jon Obi Mikel a while back too for something he said on a podcast… I suppose he is going to have a go at everyone who will write articles/discuss him saying he cost us that game today then? 😂
-
Maresca waffling some utter shite about the stadium/crowd influencing the ref for the red card. It was a red card plain and simple, what a knobend he is. Cannot wait to we get a manager who doesn’t make nonsense excuses and defend beyond average players on a regular basis. He should of gave Nico a proper dressing down in the media IMO, absolutely, you cannot do that now with VAR. Never mind in arguably the biggest game of the season for us too. This would of been the perfect moment for Maresca to show a bit of personality and emotion but he comes out with some absolute bullshit. Then he says we showed fantastic spirit????? Also playing Caicedo at RB against Anthony Gordon as opposed to Reece James? He is an absolute charlatan of a manager. No wonder majority of the fan base have no connection with him. Cannot wait for the day he is sacked. 5 points from last 9 away games since Xmas - only Southampton & Leicester have worse returns with 4.
-
Biggest game of the season and this is the performance from the players? What a group of absolute thundercunts. We lack quality but they could at least fucking try harder. Have shown they can do it in other games - pressures on and they fold. Pathetic. Jackson sent off for that as well, hopefully be the last time he starts for us for a while or ever. Talk about absolute petulance from a beyond average footballer who has no right being a Chelsea player.
-
Never happening. He is a dud. Anyway of engineering a move to get Mudryk out of the club would be great but won’t happen barring a miracle. Because the fee, contract, drug ban thing on top of the level of performances he hasn’t given. Send Sancho back (apparently he’s unsure of a future here anyway) and avoid Gittens also. From what I’ve seen of Gittens he reminds me exactly of Sancho in the Bundesliga. Dortmund looks his level. I mean Sancho is literally ultimate proof of why we should avoid Gittens - done well in Germany, struggled in England at 2 big clubs. If these sporting director cunts sign both of them its even more shit to add to the list of why they should be sacked. GK, CB, CF defo higher priority. And any well run club would prioritise these.

He still has to go. There is a huge reason why we fell off after the fast start and it was largely down the managers progression tactically and really poor squad management in terms of picking underperforming players, not certain resting players or even trusting some of the other guys in the squad a lot sooner. We were blitzing teams playing a lot more quickly and with much more attacking intent - then all of a sudden we became more and more laboured with the ball with this obsession of passing sideways and backwards. Amount of games I’ve seen this season when players have got the option to play forward and do not has been insufferable. Not even like in the final third, in our own half and the middle of the pitch. It is clear this comes from the philosophy of the manager… A lot of the players are immature and lack leadership, the right mentality and more importantly, quality, so that also contributes but the manager definitely is a huge part of why this season has had its difficulties. Just as Poch was last season. I don’t see any massive signs of progress which warrants another year anymore than what we had with Poch last season though. Like there are differences but its still been a very mixed bag and a lot of the things that have affected us have been self inflicted due to the managers philosophy and selection choices in particular as well as more poor recruitment and player performances. The last 2 seasons are pretty similar, particularly performance/result wise - but in reverse. We started poorly with Poch first half of the season and finished stronger in the second half. We started strongly with Maresca and ultimately have had a poor second half of the season. Yes we may get CL and win this Conference European trophy but we really have made a hash of a lot of games, particularly considering the start we had and some of the levels of performances in comparison to what is getting churned out. And the managers got a huge chunk to answer for regarding this too. Our game management really hasn’t improved that much. We still try to play out so frequently which puts us in difficulties due to how poor we are in possession under pressure. Not to mention, we still look easy to play against when it comes to sides with more athleticism and physicality than us. Maybe we press better and have got the defensive line and shape a bit better from last season but we are still conceding daft easy goals and chances due to issues with the defensive shape as well as individual errors and lack of concentration - so its not really a massive plus side. It’s also pointless trying to control the game if it means your midfield players are reluctant to play forward under pressure or it takes 300 passes to get to the final third and your trying to break down 10 men. This improvement in controlling the game seems to have really stiffened the attacking play right up - again without Cole’s output would be curious to see where we are because we seen how badly we played when he was out of form. Also, has Maresca drastically improved a lot of the players this season? Cucurella and Caicedo are both the only two to have made massive jumps for me. Fernandez a bit also but, like Moises, both are £100m+ players that if they played as poorly as they did last year again, questions would be asked of them. Still not entirely convinced with Fernandez completely because he’s is a passenger without the ball/struggles positionally and that’ll always make him a liability. Cole has continued from last season as has Nico, arguably remaining the most frustrating player to be played religiously despite his lack of consistency and extremely poor finishing costing us since Torres was here. It does beg the question though, who comes in if Maresca does go? The owners really should hang their heads in shame though because we really are going to struggle to compete for the top top managers and top top players unless they change up their strategy. Lots of issues.

May be willing? Fuck sake. What reason could there be to not sanction a sale? He’s shite and barely played. We will take a hit probably but anything around £20-25m, take it and run. Suppose the club is run by absolute muppets who are clueless though so I suppose we will probably keep him…
