  1. I’d take Potter back over Frank now. 6 games has been 6 games too many. Thats how bad we are under Frank. Put him out of his misery please Todd. You’ll be doing us all a favour. Those goals tonight, some of the worst defending I have ever seen in professional football. Ever. Wouldn’t see it in Sunday league. Passive. No pressure. Nobody’s touch tight. No physicality or competitiveness.
  2. No he didn’t. Far from it. He said Roman would come to the training ground if we were playing bad. Shout at the players (through his interpreter) then leave. Next time he would show up at the training ground basically meant the manager was sacked. An owner being in the locker room frequently is a total shambles. Undermines the manager.
  3. Yeah please just get rid of Lampard now - fucking hell
  4. Madueke been only player on park for us to look like making something happen. So well deserved.
  5. Not sure how, our midfield has been so bad. Its been hard to notice anyone bar Arsenal players 🤣
  6. Could easily be 6-0 by now. Easily. Have Frank and his coaching staff ever trained set plays? Ever? Every fucking corner these lot get we nearly concede.
  7. Yep we aren’t winning another game all season under Frank.
  8. If I were Thiago Silva and Ngolo Kante I wouldn’t resign to play with these shower of useless cunts and if I were Poch I wouldn’t bother coming either. Arsenal doing what we used to do to them back in the day - bullying us. So pathetic. Enzo Fernandez and Kovacic having absolute shockers, are they wearing football boots or rigger boots?
  9. Goal could of been firstly cut out easily by Fernandez and secondly by Kovacic. Embarrassing effort and concentration from both in the goal.
  10. Fernandez having a shocker so far. Pathetic defensive contribution. Maybe not his natural game but fucking hell how has that gone through his legs - wake the fuck up. All good being neat and tidy on the ball but fucking hell
  11. Actually think the shape and line up is the best team we have basically for playing a back 4 considering injuries. Even then, for full strength, James in for Azpi would be only change I’d make it RJ was available. Then its an even choice between Fofana and Badiashile but with Thiago Silva on the left sided CB makes more sense for Fofana. And maybe swap out Madueke for someone but him being a left footer on the right adds that threat. Ballsy from Frank to play Auba from the start but honestly after Brentford, I think he’s rightfully earned it.
  12. Perhaps - but great players tend to be remembered more for winning trophies. Suppose they can make him a being a god at Tottenham trophy. For example, Alan Shearer was a phenomenal striker in terms of strike rate but only won 1 major honour at club level so when people talk about the greatest PL strikers, guys like Aguero, Henry, Rooney, Andy Cole, Bergkamp, usually all crop up before he is - maybe unfair in some regards because he is the PL top scorer of all time but its probably because he only won 1 trophy.
  13. Mourinho did it first time round here. Signed 9 players. A season after we signed 14 players with Ranieri. That certainly worked. It doesn’t help when the decision making and recruitments top heavy/poorly prioritised I suppose but a average manager sorely out of his depth doesn’t help exactly either. Should never of been in the position to find out in the first place but he was put there.
  14. Pickford had a howler for that goal. Got his arm to it and still goes in. Mental how anybody rates him - he prances about acting like a shithouse as if he’s some sort of top player, he is fucking awful. Wouldn’t be surprised if we signed him for 50m this summer though 🤣
  15. Another “transfer guru” - maybe being pessimistic but we also took the guy from Brighton for Potter, appointed whoever from Leipzig/Salzburg… are they all going to work together or is it going to be all change again? Too many guys in too many similar jobs ….
  16. If he’d rather be remembered for being Spurs’ top goalscorer winning 0 trophies let him. No point scoring 250 goals if your not going to win any trophies whilst doing it. Agree with Souness on his comments about the Kane interview the other day. The guys got a loser mentality for me. Always something.
  17. He said “Arsenal are still in the title race” - no shit Sherlock its only ever been them and City.
  18. Any serious manager who isn’t tin pot (Lampard or Potter) will demand this but I do think its ballsy for Poch to discuss this with them because it could turn them off him. Its clear they want to be overly involved perhaps but the success of this club and next manager will be very dependent on them fighting that urge to get overly involved and letting him and the football people do their thing. However true this is about an actual approach/contacts being made is one thing but I have no doubts that under this current ownership, Mourinho would never return here. Ever. They’ve already done too much that someone of Mourinho’s personality and ilk would severely dislike - the dressing room thing would be the straw to break the camels back if he was here.
  19. 4-3 in Palace game. Newcastle scoring 4 or 5 the other day. Yet we can’t buy a fucking goal.
  20. Out of the guys that was listed its hardly key cogs to the CL success now was it? Pulisic & Ziyech proven? Proven to be shit and not up to it maybe. Havertz also hardly proven considering one week he looks ok then he doesn’t resemble a footballer for 8 or 9 on the trot. Like saying keep him only because he scored a CL final goal - was it same story for Torres because he scored a CL semi final goal? Or a Europa League final goal? No Ruben & CHO probably never be regulars regardless of their salaries. So whats the issue getting rid of them? The club should want to keep Kova and Mount but realistically if we struggle to offload others and theres no movement on their contracts - they will be sold.
  21. Carney is a good level below all of them for me, if we could get the £15-20m we paid for him back, it would be a win and a help towards cutting the squad. Its inevitable that three (maybe even all four) of Chalobah, Gallagher, Mount and Broja could be sold this summer for recouping funds. Putting Carney in that group would also be a good move as there has to be “sacrificial lambs” so to speak this summer as its unlikely we will get rid of every outcast due to high wages or lack of suitors unless we just sell them cheaply (which I doubt Boehly and co will do). I’d like us to push to keep Mason as I think Poch will utilise him. And Broja but it depends, he could have suitors again like he did with West Ham in the previous summer. The likes of Mendy/Kepa, Ziyech, Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek & Aubamayang won’t make as much fee wise but the majority have significantly bigger salaries so shifting some of them will also help but its more can we shift a lot of them that worries me. All of these average underperforming fringe players will be incredibly difficult to move though. Thats what also makes me concerned about City interest in Kovacic & then before he signed a new deal, their links to Chilwell. If there is no movement on a new contract for Kova in the next month or two, I do think City will try pick him up as they could lose Gundogan and it likely wouldn’t be for a huge huge fee either - maybe around 35-40m mark due to his age and contract duration. I really get the feeling its going to be a weird and difficult summer for us - particularly to shift players. The squad is absolutely colossal in size including all the loanees who will return (22 out on loan ATM and some of them they will be difficult to shift as they have been previously). Then the 31 players we already have. Yes everyone isn’t going to want to stay due to the squad size but we won’t be in as strong a position to sell players as we have been in previous years due to the fact we need to 1) trim the squad and 2) recoup money to reinvest. It will certainly be interesting to see how Poch gets on but any success is going to be paramount on shaping the squad. And before we can add to it we really need to lose a lot of dead weight.
  22. Loris, Vertonghen, Eriksen as well as Alderweireld were already pretty high level players prior to Poch. They still improved but they would of been top players regardless. Kane, Son, Dembele (although arguably he was pretty good with Villas-Boas), Rose and Walker definitely benefited from his coaching though. As did Alli but he also tapered off horrifically with Poch too. That article using Ben Davies and Bentaleb as examples is piss poor though - as a bar for high level players, for them to be mentioned, shocking. Bentaleb & Davies average players who would/should of made the chop under a more ruthless manager/club. Mason & Dier also.
  23. He actually impressed the other night but still very skeptical. Only the Brentford and Liverpool games he has stood out. For 80m, you need a lot more. Even for 30m you need a lot more.
  24. I get that bit but he wants to step back into management after this right, so he’s hardly doing himself any favours and he’s certainly not doing the club any favours (although neither were the owners appointing him). And all the reasons/quotes he’s coming out with now - basically just saying he cannot do anything and its not because of him, deflecting the blame. I don’t think anybody would of said a bad word if he didn’t take this on particularly for the reasons of which he has now said, weeks after taking it on. Just seems pointless, oh I can’t do anything because of this or that but I’ll stay here because well why not… he’s really tarnishing his legacy here from the success he had as a player and proving himself to be completely incompetent in the hot seat for the second time round (and throw in Everton spell on top). I genuinely believe no PL club is going to look to appoint him in the next 18-24 months based on what he has done at Everton and here. Nobody. Looking at it, from both points of view, it seems like a really stupid move on his behalf and certainly was on the clubs behalf. Whoever thought “Oh we can maybe win the CL, lets appoint the man who’s probably 75% responsible for maybe relegated Everton this season” needs their head checked - be it Eghbali, Boehly, the football people, whoever.
