Don't call me arrogant but we should be looking to beat Newcastle. Above average side who were flying last year, don't get me wrong they have some good players but still we should be looking at a win.
-
Villas-Boas was let down by certain players, Robbie can't get the same treatment. Be it from Torres, Lampard or anyone, everyone's got to pull together in the same direction to achieve our goals this season. Torres has to got to show he deserves a spot in the team too, goals are likely to be scored by other players but as a striker we can't have any of this oh he got 20 odd assists for us pish. He needs to prove his worth in goals. If he doesn't Studge will step up and hopefully continue his form from the start of last season.

Mate we won the CL with one of the worst squads that has ever won the CL, chillax We don't need Cavani, hes a luxury, maybe another striker is needed but not someone on tonnes of wages and worth 30 million. Moses could be used there too.

#1-Do you worry about having Torres as your main striker with little cover? Should Drogba have been offered the contact he wanted? I am extremely worried with the lack of cover for Torres compared to previous years when we had like say 4 strikers. I'm not worried as much with Torres being our main striker as his movement is better and hes scoring goals. Maybe Drogba should of been offered that 2 year deal but if we want to get to the place we want to get with a new philosophy I think he was sacrificed for it. Sturridge looks like he could be a good enough, able cover upfront but the question is will he be used there on or on the wings? Or will he even stay? Only time will tell but I'm hoping he stays tbh. #2-What do you make of all the young, talented Attacking Midfielders you have all vying for 3 places in the team? Does it worry you that this may lead to some disharmony between those who miss out and the manager? No I think all the attacking midfielders we have is good, good competition, different options, different potential combinations and the fact Oscar, Marin, Hazard, Sturridge, Mata etc are all in their younger 20s is good for the clubs future more than the present. Also Moses is potentially coming in who is a good player who adds to the options we already have. I don't think the young players will take it to heart as much if the team is constantly changing due to injuries and suspensions but maybe there could be a rift between certain players who aren't playing enough and the manager but I think Robbie's man management of the squad last season was brilliant so I hope he can continue that with the same effectiveness. #3-If you were to have a joint NUFC / Chelsea team, which Newcastle players (if any) would you pick over your first teamers? Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Krul and Santon (at RB) possibly. I think Cisse and Ba are also good players but I'm unsure whether they can do as well again this year. #4-Do you think Di Matteo has bought responsibly, or has he been focusing too much on 'attractive' players? In other words, would you rather have seen some of the £50+m spent on Oscar, Hazard etc. bring in some replacements/back-ups for John Terry or Bosingwa? I think the players we've bought are good buys. Roman wants this kind of slick passing football and I believe Robbie wants to change from last year also. I would say now that Cesar Azpilicueta has also signed we have a sufficient replacement for Bosingwa and we already have a wealth of options at center half too in case JT picks up an injury or suspension. It will take the team time to gel and find the right balance but I honestly believe the personnel who Robbie's brought in are more than capable to play for the club and adapt to the tactics, the likes of Hazard, Oscar and Mata will have to drop back to defend a lot more etc. #5-Which Newcastle player are you most fearful of and why? Ben Arfa when hes playing good due to his speed and trickery. When hes not having the best of days hes not very effective so I hope he won't be in too good a mood on Saturday #6-Do you think Di Matteo will take Chelsea to the next level (I.e. challenging for the title with the Manchester clubs)? Honestly no but I will support him and if he proves me wrong then I will be delighted. I think hes only going to be there until the end of this season before Roman offers Pep like a £30 million a year salary to turn us into Barcelona. I think we will be able to compete with the Manchester clubs tbh, we always will be, just the fact that we were so poor last year it made us look worse than we actually are. With the players we had last year we would of been lucky to scrape top 4, so the investment made in the squad should help bring us back into top 4 quite reasonably. If we can challenge the Manc clubs and finish 3rd say 2 or 3 points off one of them I think we will be doing alright.

Maybe hes making Napoli sweat, making out hes not going to pay up the sum they want hoping they reduce the fee. Same with Porto maybe Seen someone say it on twitter so who knows. Moses will sign soon though so his statement is already false haha!
-
Well can't wait to see him in action, unsure what hes going to be like but we'll soon see!!
-
Looks like Inter will be playing more counter attacking football this year then. Pereira suits that with his pace. Still slightly overrated though, just because we were linked with him I think people thought he was better than he was. Upfront fee Inter payed is roughly 8 million, rising to 12 million. Didn't we not bid 16.7 million or something? They still sell for less? Wtf. Still when AVB was here the only players he should of signed from Porto was either Moutinho or Hulk though. Glad we didn't get him for Bertrands sake.
-
He finalised his move last night I think, surely he must of just bought/rented an apartment close to Cobham and moved in already.
-
That's barely awareness, just common sense. Anyone could notice someone else was going to the ball and would then do what Cavani did and left it, then run in to the box. Torres may be shit but hes not fucking retarded haha
-
Just got to wait about another week now for us to confirm it....
-
Seems it but surely he must be able to offer something if Branna gets an injury or something or it would be a pointless signing imo.
-
I said something about that before as well. I watched 60 minutes of one of the games he played at the Olympics. He wasn't very consistent but neither was the whole Spanish team, he did something good then did something bad.. but I suppose the older and more experienced you get you seem to find a level of consistency. Still if he is as good as what people seem to rate him on here, 6-7 million could be a bargain.
-
Maybe I'd pay 25 million and Meireles for him but then if we get rid of Meireles we will probably need another deeper playing midfielder.... ahhhhhhh the bother of the transfer window
-
Hes meant to be a solid defender, similar to Ivanovic but with a wee bit more pace. Can get up and attack but doesn't too often. Seen someone compare him to Paulo Ferreira of years ago in terms of playing style.
-
Na Malouda will be sat behind in the seats where the fans sit as he won't be in the match squad
-
Maybe. I have doubts AVB would really of played him if he keeps a high line as well though. Seen something on twitter they want a young Italian center back from Pescara or something.... Still Spurs are going to fail this year
-
Hmm strange, maybe Dawson asked for a move away or Levy/AVB bundled him out of the door. Still think Caulker is a brilliant option for Spurs at CB, the jammy cunts.
-
QPR seem to be doing a City and overloading their squad with players that within 2 years they will be struggling to get off their books. Well done Mark Hughes you fucking nugget. Still gutted they got Bos and now Carvalho :(
-
New seats in the dugout.
-
Terrible news, R.I.P.
-
RAMIRES MUST FEATURE!!!!!! IF NOT THERE SHALL BE WAR
-
I'd say at CB they are covered pretty much though if your referring to AVB selling Dawson. They have Vertoghen, Caulker, Kaboul and Gallas.... well I'd imagine Gallas will be going soon but still they'd probably replace him. They are a bit light in central midfield though getting rid of Modric, Huddlestone and that. Livermore is pish I would also get rid of him straight away. Best part of their team is defos their attack though. Bale, Lennon, Sigurdsson, VDV, Defoe and Adebayor aren't bad options to have. Also £9 million for a injury prone 29 year old center back is not bad at all as well supposing center backs aren't usually that expensive at that age. Still see them failing dramatically though!
-
Seen this on the Spurs accept Dawson offer comments bit on Sky Sports. HAHAHAHHAHAHA LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL "I hope he gets either Ramos, Pique or Pepe, because there isnt many defenders better than Daws." HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHA OMG WHAT A DELUDED YID.

Who the fuck is Taison???
